What a wonderful experience it was visiting Juneau, Alaska. Joe and I had a much better visit this time than we did when we visited 4 or 5 years ago. At that time we were in the middle of a big concrete pour with our business and Joe was stressed the entire time we were gone. He could not enjoy himself for worrying about what was going on at home.
Since I am trying to semi-retire I unplugged from work this trip. I think I only called once and I might have messaged a couple times. If I am ever going to actually retire I need them to be able to handle all the situations by themselves. Besides, I knew they would call or message me if there was a real problem. It is really hard for someone like me to let go of the reins. I am a very hands on type individual and I like doing things myself. When you do something yourself then you know it gets done but when you rely on someone else it can be hit or miss. Next week at work will be very busy with me trying to play catch up on all the stuff that I haven’t handed over yet.
I bought this lightweight poncho with fringe while I was in Juneau. I found a store that was having a great sale so this Karen Kane top was 50% off. This was one of the items that didn’t make it on the plane home with me. Lol! Ashleigh made out like a bandit this trip. I think she considered it room and board. Haha. I really like how this top looks on, even the hoodie on the back. If I didn’t already have a similar one at home I might not have been so agreeable to giving it up.
Several Plunder jewelry pieces didn’t make it into my luggage either. I asked her before I packed if there was anything she was wanting. She told me that she was not that into jewelry right now so she didn’t want anything. Once she saw the pieces in person she changed her mind. The Trixy earrings are a very pale green color. The three dangles are not heavy but they are an eye catcher.
The Gabbie necklace is a favorite of almost everyone. The colors look great in all four seasons so you get a lot of wear from the necklace. I have another one of these necklaces at home so Ashleigh cabbaged on this. Lol! The matching bracelet with a dangling monogram and a tassel is called the Clementine. The gold Alex and Ani bracelet I have on is new and I bought it in downtown Juneau. It is an Alaska symbol that has a whale fluke on it. Several of you have mentioned joining Plunder Design to me and now is a great time. Check out the fabulous July special that is going on.

My hot pink leather Vera Bradley tote was the only purse I took with me to Alaska. I feel like I can carry it with anything I wear but the reason it got to make the trip is that it is light. I have enough things to juggle while walking through the airport so I didn’t want a heavy purse. Most of my Dooney & Bourke purses would have been too heavy.
I finally had a day where I didn’t have to wear my Hunter boots. Haha! This pair of block heel ankle boots is a pair from Old Navy that I bought several years ago. This pair is really comfortable which surprised me. Usually, a pair of shoes that is not expensive is also not comfortable, however, this pair is one that I can wear all day long.
You have all heard me tell you about the products from Rodan + Fields. You know they were created by the same doctors who created ProActive so you know the products are good and actually work. I have also told you about three ways to purchase products which include retail, Preferred Customer, or as a consultant. But, you don’t hear me talk about the “business” of Rodan + Fields. Just like any other business you actually own your business which can be sold or willed to someone. You are the boss of your business so you can choose the hours you work and how you work. If you work the business consistently and diligently there is quite a bit of money that can be made. I have only been a consultant for a little more than a year and I have only been working it as a business for 9 months. If I added up the money spent to purchase the airline tickets, the tour passes, (what they would have cost since we got some from Ashleigh’s friends) the food, and even what a hotel would have cost, I could have paid for the entire thing with my earnings from MAY. Contact me if you or someone you know would like to know more. Join me on ZOOM at 9:00 pm EST with any questions you might have. I am having a giveaway for a free Active Hydration Serum from Rodan + Fields. I have become so “hooked” on this product that I can’t even begin to tell you how much. I now will use this morning and night. Go here to see how to enter.
