50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESSI know almost every one of you have said, “I should have just stayed in bed today.” It was that kind of day and I knew from the minute my feet hit the floor that it was going to be that way. It came a huge downpour on last night and although I love to sleep when it is raining, the dogs do not want to go and do their nightly “business.” I opened the door knowing what was going to happen and sure enough, they walked out on the porch and stopped. Beckley even looked back at me like, “You go out there if you want but I am staying right here.” Haha!50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESSI had a real good idea that I would have a “present” or two left for me this morning and they did not disappoint. After that was taken care of then I sat down at the table to do a little work (surf on Facebook) and the telephone started ringing. It was work telling me that the computers wouldn’t come up. The power had been off during the night so I told them how to reset everything but it didn’t work. I had to go out, no makeup on, no hair combed, no teeth brushed, and some clothes that were in the utility room. When I walked through the door I was greeted by, “Don’t you look lovely this morning.” Everything finally got back up and I was able to go home and get dressed. It did get a little bit better but not before I discovered that they had done an update on our system and it wasn’t what they wanted. In fact, they told us not to receive any of our inventory or we might crash the whole system. Remind me to retire BEFORE we do another software change. Lol! If it wasn’t for my hairdresser I am pretty sure I would be having a ton of gray hair showing. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESSI must be in a floral phase. I wore florals yesterday and on Friday and then here I am again in a floral print. The funny thing is that is you had asked me if I liked a floral print in clothing I would have probably told you, “not really.” I have never been a “girly” girl. I don’t like lots of ruffles and bows and I am not all fussy about my clothing. If it has to be dry cleaned it is pretty much in trouble at my house. My Energizer Bunny Friend hangs up almost all of her clothing to dry so that the clothes last longer. They probably do last longer but I just am not going to go that extra step. I am one of those who will hit the start button on the dryer 3 or 4 times because I forget to take the clothes out and they get wrinkled. I bought this Entro dress back about two months ago but I was waiting for it to get warmer before I wore it. It was 95 today so I thought that was plenty warm enough.

50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESS Let’s start with the cute earrings. The Mandy earrings just jump off the page at you. They are the brightest yellow and light turquoise. These are stud earrings and about .75 of an inch big. The matching necklace is the Mitali. I love this necklace, it has everything but the kitchen sink on it. There is a huge range of colors to choose from when you wear this necklace. It kind of steals the show. Lol! The boho magnetic bracelet on the left is called the Corey. It has beads, leather, and charms all on one bracelet.  50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESS I am fairly tall at 5’6″. I am not considered short by any means but this dress was still dragging the floor even with these Marc Fisher platform wedge shoes on. These shoes had a 4.5″ heel but I caught myself stepping on the hem of the dress all day long. Wow! This thing must have been made for Andre the Giant’s wife. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLING A LONG MAXI DRESSOther than my purse I think we are all through with the links. When I carried this purse yesterday I told you that you could get a lot of wear out of this purse. Haha! It is funny, I will pay more for a purse than I will almost anything. I am fairly cheap and look for bargains most of the time but I will fork over the moolah for a nice purse.

It’s quite inspiring and making me feel less blah about what I wear.
Sorry about the doggy package. We had one too yesterday when I had a cardiology appointment.

As heart disease is the number one killer of women, and I have been having a couple of symptoms. I decided to get a work up. I’m happy I did. I need to make big changes.
