50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEYou gurls are the sweetest things. You leave such great comments for me, they are always so encouraging. Even when you are critical, you do it in the nicest way. Lol! I had a fellow blogger email me the other day and one of her comments were, about how much participation I had with my readers. That was the highest compliment one blogger can give to another. Thank you gurls for following along.?50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEI did a video recently of my closets. If you did not see those, then go here. I try to wear different items daily, but you should know that is almost impossible. I do own A LOT of clothing, but still, it is hard to wear something different every day. Someone emailed me that I had saved them a ton of money since they had started following my blog. They said they could now take items in their closets and re-work them into new outfits. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEToday I decided that I was going to take that comment as a challenge. Everybody does not have a huge wardrobe or space for a large amount of clothing. If that is the case, then you need to take the same articles of clothing and make them appear different. For the rest of the week, I will be styling this sweater and pair of pants. I am pretty sure everyone has a sweater and a pair of pants, they do not have to be gray and maroon. It is not about the color, it is about making them look like you have a bigger wardrobe than you actually have.50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEThis sweater is one that I bought either last year or the year before from Old Navy. Old Navy is a great place to buy lightweight sweaters at an affordable price. I wasn’t sure I would like the sweater, I am not a huge fan of the waffle knit look. However, this does add some visual interest and texture that a plain sweater does not.

50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEI took this Plunder set with me to Livingston over the weekend. My cousin is having a Plunder party, so I loaded up all my jewelry (really heavy) and took it for everyone to look at. They couldn’t get over how nice the jewelry looked in person compared to the pictures in the catalog. My mother even bought this necklace set. I need to do a video so that it would show the sparkles. The entire pendant is covered in rhinestones and so is the pyramid that the tassels hang from. The matching bracelet and earrings, (not the ones I am wearing) are the same way.50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEThe earrings I have on are too cute. I couldn’t believe how big they were in person. In the catalog, these look tiny…. They are made in a knot style with rhinestones all over. These are probably the most popular earring by Plunder right now, they keep selling out. 50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEI have on a tank top with a lace bottom that I bought at Maurices. I have several different colors of this style top, they look great in the summer and you can wear them under jackets or sweaters all winter long. The top just gives some interest to the outfit.

The dark maroon or burgundy pants are an old pair that I bought at TJ Maxx. I love this pair because they are the perfect color for fall, I have worn them and worn them.

50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBEThe gray studded shoes are by Sole Society. I bought these last year around this same time. I like them because you can wear them all year around.
50 IS NOT OLD | STYLE WITH A SMALL WARDROBECheck back the rest of the week to see how I style this differently.

Love, Love, Love this outfit!! Love the color combo, jewelry, and lace. And I have seen those shoes ads on FB and always wanted to order them. I might just have to break down and do it! haha
On the jewelry, if you want to host a party do they just order from online?
Would be awesome if someone was in my area that could bring samples.
I think that makes a huge difference, especially since I usually don’t have much luck with “selling” parties. haha
    Anyway, great post. thanks!

    1. Selling is hard! The problem with the jewelry is that it doesn’t photograph nearly as nice as it is. I can send you some catalogs if you are interested in doing an online party. Your customer just logs into your party and orders. They pay online and it ships directly to them, so you do not have to deliver and collect. Let me know if that is something you are interested in doing. fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

Very fun! I’m excited to see what you do with the sweater all week!!! And I probably had about 10-12 of those Maurices tank tops…I pretty much wore them out so I got rid of them and have now re-stocked with two new ones. But I probably need more…..haha.

Hi Tania! I love this outfit! I actually have been working on doing the same with my wardrobe and have been surprised how many different ways I can mix and match my clothes. I also found an app called Pureple that helps with this. It is great so you don’t forget the items in the back of your closet. I’m great at putting colors together but don’t always remember what I have, this is a great tool. Thank you so much for your posts!

I didn’t know about this app….I’m downloading it when I get home! Thanks for the tip!

  4. I love this look. I especially like the lace peeking out from under the sweater. It’s amazing how your jewelry really dresses up the outfit too. You make me want to try harder on my look for work.

Yay! I’m so excited for this styling challenge, since pants and a sweater or top are my go-to work wear. You’ve inspired me to branch out in my outfits AND my accessories-LOVE Plunder! I own 4 of their necklaces as of now, got my eye on others too! Yours is the first post I read every morning before heading off to work-thank you for all of your inspiration!

  6. This is a great idea. I’ve seen others who’ve done something similar and it’s exciting to see what outfit variations are possible with the same basics. I’m looking forward to seeing yours.

Love this cute fall outfit, Tania! And am so looking forward to how you restyle it every day! I tend to be “matchy matchy”, or I find an outfit that looks good together and I never experiment or change it. Looking forward to seeing new combinations, styles & textures. I have similar pieces for this outfit, but flipped – I have gray pants and a burgundy sweater – I may just put that together today! 🙂

  8. Your style always inspires me. The idea of lace peeking out is a new concept for me but I’ve recently purchased some pieces from LOGO and am just stepping out of my comfort zone with them. I am going to duplicate this look this weekend. So cute and relaxed looking!

  9. Thanks so much for today’s pic. I actually bought velveteen pants yesterday in that exact color. If anyone is looking for a similar color & style they are from Old Navy & the new Pixie ankle pant. Now I have an idea of a different color combo for them. I was surprised how many things I have that they will coordinate with. Looking forward to the rest of the weeks ideas.

  10. You look wonderful! What I great challenge! I can’t wait to see what you do and I need to try to do the same. I love the bracelet you did’t name, what is it?

    1. The necklace is called the Joey, the bracelet the Selena, and the matching earrings are called the Aria. The earrings I have on in the photos are called the Mason.

    2. Sorry, not the bracelet that matches the necklace the other one. Thanks, Pat
