HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4
It seems like everyone is liking the dress series. I enjoy a challenge and doing a series stretches me. You should see my bedroom after I start one of these series. It looks like a clothing bomb went off. If you ever saw my bedroom you might not notice the difference. Lol! I always seem to have pieces of clothing laying all over the place. I’ll try something on and not like it and pull something else out. I realize that you are supposed to hang the first item back up but let’s be real, this is the person who still has up her Christmas tree. Hahaha!
I never go in the room where the tree is. The funny thing is that it is in the living room, the room in the house that you would think everyone would go to. Joe and I don’t watch television at all. He plays on the computer in the afternoons and I sit at the kitchen table on my laptop. We can see each other and we talk back and forth. That may seem strange to some but it works for us. I can’t tell you a single show that comes on TV. Lol!
I thought you would like yesterday’s look but you really seemed ho-hum about the look. Oh, well, let’s try again. I know a lot of you go to work and need something a little more dressy. I added this light beige linen blend jacket to the Old Navy dress. A blazer or jacket instantly dresses an outfit up AND it helps to hide a multitude of issues in the stomach region. (AKA the problem area) I love wearing blazers and cardigans for that reason plus I am always cold so they keep me warm too. A linen/blend blazer is not too warm to be worn all summer long especially if you are inside at an office. If you have someone in your office having “hot flashes” you will thank me. Lol!
The espadrille wedge peep-toes (say that three times really fast) are another neutral that goes with everything. I can wear these with dresses, shorts, pants, and jeans. You need to look for versatility when you choose an item. Then you can throw in a couple items that are frivolous for pizzazz.
If you want to be a 2 percenter, I can show you how. Not only will I help you get your business up and running but I will also gift you a FREE Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream to anyone who signs up in April. (With a Business Kit) Here is where you can go to look at the different kits available and what is in each one. I know you have questions, email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and I will answer them or we can set up a call with my Energizer Bunny friend who knows everything!

Hi Tania, I think you are very innovative, I like this outfit too, with the jacket and colourful scarf, it is Autumn/Fall here and I have a similar jacket, it does look business like for teaching, yet versatile when doing some hands on work with students. I am enjoying the dress series too!
?
I did this one today! And I received dozens of compliments. Thank you!!!
This is so cute. I can totally see wearing this for more professional situations…or church. I thought the maxi skirt was adorable. I commented on Insta but not on the blog.
Brandye, it is always good to hear from you, no matter on what platform 🙂
Very cute today!?
This look is a winner! Love it! I look forward to seeing how you will style the items in a series. Been a great week, really enjoyed all the looks.
I love the outfit
Oh yes, love this! I copied your blazer over a denim dress recently & will copy this too. I love the style of the Old Navy swing dress but it feels thin – I’d like to know if you wear shapewear, or anything under it?
Thanks Tonya – your looks are fantastic & fun! I look forward to “seeing” you everyday!
waaaah and i knew i misspelled TANIA, just as i hit send….so sorry….need more coffee!
I love this! I need you to take me shopping! I call you when I win the lottery! I love your style ?
I love…love this look!
I really like this look! I think you dressed up the dress perfectly with the blazer and beautiful scarf!

Great Look! Perfect for work or church. LOVED hearing about your bedroom. I am going to show your post to my husband. He thinks I am the only one that does that. But as we both know putting the perfect outfit is about trial & error. Thanks for being real!
I loved yesterday’s look, you look fabulous. Would love to wear that skirt, but I have no waist. Could you show it sometime with something not tucked in? Love you and your blog.
I love the blazer and scarf. I think the necklace is too much with the scarf.. maybe just me. I think blazers are a must have. Thanks for the ideas.
Now this is my fav. I used to wear jackets all the time. Perfect outfit for everything, cute and professional. Love it and this series. I can relate to the “few” clothes, hanging around the bedroom. Lol
As a love of jackets..i do like this. But I think it’s the scarf that is the big winner here!!
It’s always amazing to me that scarves can make such a difference in an outift!!

I would definitely wear this to work!
Am loving the series that you are doing Tania; have enjoyed both of them.
Tania I am going to be in Michigan near the Canadian Windsor crossing going to frankenmuth in June and I would like to get lashboost while I’m there. Do you know any consultants in that area? Please feel free to contact me directly at susantomfamily at gmail dot com.
I sent you an email, Susan. Lash Boost has really been incredible!!!
Tania, this outfit is too cute! I LOVE that scarf & all the colorful jewelry! Again, you rocked it!
Love this look! The dress has been very versatile, gonna have to go out of my comfort zone and try some of these looks! Love the bright colors in the scarf! Happy Thursday!
Blazers are always a classic and the scarf is gorgeous. ~Lisa~
My bedroom is just the same, clothes discarded on the bed, I am always in trouble with my husband who puts his away, but then he only ever puts on jeans and tee shirt.! I love your blogs.
Pauline, he could put your up for you. Hahaha!
I loved your look yesterday Tania ? and if I was taller (5ft 2) would definitely wear it I loved the boho feel to it ? I also like today’s look length better for me and I love a jacket and dress I am not great at picking blazers for myself maybe you could do something on that sometime ? love your scarf wearing something similar myself today Have a lovely day ?
love the videos
Cute look Tania. This summer I am getting out those wedges again too – just found an amazing Spanish pair which feel flattish to wear but are super high so make you feel nice and tall 😉 Have featured them on blog today.
Re percenters – guess I have become a 2 percenter too – i’ll join that club with you 😉

Yvonne, when R + F expands to your area, I know who will jump on board. Lol!
I love this look, too! would it be overkill to put capri length leggings under the dress? I look forward to your posts every day. and the dress series is awesome! great idea!
Nancy, all I can tell you is to try the look and see. You wouldn’t believe how many things I pull out before I decide on a new look. It is all about experimenting.
I love this the most. You are such an inspiration. Follow you every day
Rita, thanks for following. I try to style differently every day so there is something for everybody.
