50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4It seems like everyone is liking the dress series. I enjoy a challenge and doing a series stretches me. You should see my bedroom after I start one of these series. It looks like a clothing bomb went off. If you ever saw my bedroom you might not notice the difference. Lol! I always seem to have pieces of clothing laying all over the place. I’ll try something on and not like it and pull something else out. I realize that you are supposed to hang the first item back up but let’s be real, this is the person who still has up her Christmas tree. Hahaha!50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4I never go in the room where the tree is. The funny thing is that it is in the living room, the room in the house that you would think everyone would go to. Joe and I don’t watch television at all. He plays on the computer in the afternoons and I sit at the kitchen table on my laptop. We can see each other and we talk back and forth. That may seem strange to some but it works for us. I can’t tell you a single show that comes on TV. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4I thought you would like yesterday’s look but you really seemed ho-hum about the look. Oh, well, let’s try again. I know a lot of you go to work and need something a little more dressy. I added this light beige linen blend jacket to the Old Navy dress. A blazer or jacket instantly dresses an outfit up AND it helps to hide a multitude of issues in the stomach region. (AKA the problem area) I love wearing blazers and cardigans for that reason plus I am always cold so they keep me warm too. A linen/blend blazer is not too warm to be worn all summer long especially if you are inside at an office. If you have someone in your office having “hot flashes” you will thank me. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4My earrings are the Ashton and they are still in the Plunder catalog! WooHoo! I finally wore something that has not been retired. I am glad they kept these earrings because they have been a favorite of mine since I got them. I usually prefer gold although the silver is starting to grow on me. I never wore large earrings before, I would choose the small to medium size hoops and never change them. After I tried the larger earrings they show up so much better with my hair style. Now when I wear a smaller style earring I feel like you can’t see them. 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4Boy, I am on a roll because the Carmen necklace is still in the catalog too. Lol! I figured it would stick around for the upcoming summer since it just oozes summer. I love the colored drops and the tassels. The two silver inscription bracelets, Raelynn (I Choose Happy) and Abela (Blessed) are bangles I like to wear to remind myself not to take anything for granted. I have on the Hugo or the Chalon bangle, I can’t tell which. The Chalon is clear rhinestones set in a silver setting and the Hugo is clear set in a rose gold setting. The green and red bangles were part of the Christmas specials, however, the Flynn, Kayson, Evan, and the Tina are all just as cute. I closed out the last party and re-opened another one. It is www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania7  If you are interested in finding out about all the wonderful advantages to being on my Plunder team just let me know. I am offering an extra piece of jewelry for all those who join Team Shimmer and Shine this month!!!50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4This ivory/cream purse is a perfect neutral color for summer. This is a no-name brand that I picked up last year. I loved the style with the tassel and the color. It is not as heavy duty as what I prefer but it will still last me a year or two. I like a light colored purse for the spring and summer months, they go with almost anything.

The espadrille wedge peep-toes (say that three times really fast) are another neutral that goes with everything. I can wear these with dresses, shorts, pants, and jeans. You need to look for versatility when you choose an item. Then you can throw in a couple items that are frivolous for pizzazz.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4My pizzazz was added with this bright and colorful scarf. By wearing the scarf long around my neck it added a little more flair to the outfit. If you take away the scarf it is fine but boring. Punch up your looks with accessories, go big, go bold, go bright. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO STYLE A DRESS SERIES, PART 4Everyone has heard about the 1 percenters. That has something to do with having lots of money but since I don’t have lots of money I can’t tell you exactly what it means. Lol! I am looking for the 2 percenters. That is the number of people who are believers. The percentage of people who don’t think you have to work a 9 to 5 job for the rest of your life. Only 2% of the population are entrepreneurs and will take a risk. The other 98% of the people are afraid to dance in the rain, they run for cover and grab the umbrellas. I want the rainbow seekers, the ones who like a challenge and want to see what else is out there. I may never be a 1 percenter but I AM a 2 percenter.

If you want to be a 2 percenter, I can show you how. Not only will I help you get your business up and running but I will also gift you a FREE Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream to anyone who signs up in April. (With a Business Kit) Here is where you can go to look at the different kits available and what is in each one. I know you have questions, email me at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com and I will answer them or we can set up a call with my Energizer Bunny friend who knows everything!

  1. Hi Tania, I think you are very innovative, I like this outfit too, with the jacket and colourful scarf, it is Autumn/Fall here and I have a similar jacket, it does look business like for teaching, yet versatile when doing some hands on work with students. I am enjoying the dress series too!

  10. I loved yesterday’s look, you look fabulous. Would love to wear that skirt, but I have no waist. Could you show it sometime with something not tucked in? Love you and your blog.

  11. Anita patrick says:

I love the blazer and scarf. I think the necklace is too much with the scarf.. maybe just me. I think blazers are a must have. Thanks for the ideas.

  12. Now this is my fav. I used to wear jackets all the time. Perfect outfit for everything, cute and professional. Love it and this series. I can relate to the “few” clothes, hanging around the bedroom. Lol

  13. robjodiefilogomo says:

As a love of jackets..i do like this. But I think it’s the scarf that is the big winner here!!
It’s always amazing to me that scarves can make such a difference in an outift!!

I also like today’s look length better for me and I love a jacket and dress I am not great at picking blazers for myself maybe you could do something on that sometime ? love your scarf wearing something similar myself today Have a lovely day ?

  21. Cute look Tania. This summer I am getting out those wedges again too – just found an amazing Spanish pair which feel flattish to wear but are super high so make you feel nice and tall 😉 Have featured them on blog today.

Re percenters – guess I have become a 2 percenter too – i’ll join that club with you 😉
