HOW TO STYLE BLACK AND BROWN TOGETHER
October is here and Fall is in the air. I am really starting to get in the mood for all things fall. I have been looking at the fall decorations and pumpkins are calling my name. I am leaving town this week so I didn’t want to start decorating yet because I will make a HUGE mess before the decorating is complete. Am I the only one who does this???
I have to pull out everything I own to decorate with for fall. Then I spend so much time going around and around trying to decide where I am going to place everything. New items just keep creeping into my house so after I drag everything out I end up with all kinds of things that I can’t find a spot for. I have to then pack up all the excess items and put them back in storage. My taste changes from year to year so I am never quite sure how I want to decorate. The best way would be for someone else to come into my house and do it for me. Lol! Unfortunately, that isn’t going to happen.
This is another style that I am not sure about. The asymmetrical style has not grown on me yet but I decided to try this black sleeveless sweater from Cato’s to see how I would like the style. When I buy something at Cato’s I know that I am not investing a lot of money and if I really like the style then I will buy it again later. This sweater is textured and has ribbing but because it is black you can’t see the detailing. I think it looks better on the model on the website, maybe I am not shaped for this style. Lol!
This camel pair of pants is by Old Navy. You might notice though that they are a lot bigger and baggier than my normal Pixie Pants. This is the Harper Pants. The Harper fits bigger and is usually a more Luxe material. When I buy a Harper pant I will normally size down but you might want to play around. When I am ordering online I will sometimes order 2 sizes and send one back.
I am busy making a list for my trip to Charleston, SC this week. I will be leaving on Tuesday afternoon and traveling to Charlotte with my Energizer Bunny Friend to pick up Lucille, a friend from New Jersey. Then we are off to some fun in the sun and a gala or two. I am soooo excited to hear what the new product(s) will be from Rodan + Fields. It will be announced on Friday. I love reading your blog! Being a believer, I really enjoy your spiritual posts. The black top looks great on you! Black and brown are two of my favorites, esp. with leapord print accessories!!
I think the top looks great on you!
You may feel lopsided, but you look great in this black and tan and leopard outfit. Total WOW! What a wonderful way to do fall colors. Raaaoooowwweerr! (That’s the sound leopard’s make when they are happy.)
I LOVE this outfit. But when I first opened it my screen went crazy and just stared scrolling and I thought you had on a really short dress! LOL Love how you styled this and your accessories are on point!
Love me some animal print, gurl!! Beautiful outfit and accessories! I really like the look of asymmetrical tops, but I think I’m too short to wear them. You’re several inches taller than me and it looks great on you. In my mind, I am very tall, slender and elegant, like Grace Kelly, but when I look in the mirror all I see is an oompa loompa staring back at me. ha Oh well, such is life. Have a safe trip and have extra fun for me too!
You will love Charleston! My son graduated from The Citadel. We visited so often, it became our second home and we still go at least 4 or 5 times a year. We will be there next week-end….wish we were there at the same time so that we could meet for a quick visit. Love mixing brown and black. Thanks for your posts each day. I always look forward to them. Enjoy the Holy City as we call it and be sure to visit the Market in the middle of Charleston.
Safe and happy travels, Miss Tania! Hope you have a fabulous time! YOU look adorable, today! ?
Love the entire outfit! The asymmetrical style top looks great on you and will also go nicely with leggings because it’s a bit longer. The shoes and bag are fabulous!
Cute outfit. I like the length and asymmetrical style of your shirt. I have not tried this style either, but seeing on someone, helps with the vision. Have a great day.
I like asymmetrical because it seems to conceal some of the “bad spots”. Love the look of the sweater, but living in Michigan a sleeveless sweater has a very short weather window. I think some sort of wrap/cardigan would be necessary. Not sure how that would look?
