SPRING IS IN THE AIR

I saw a buttercup today! Spring is in the air and I can hardly wait. Even though it has not been a real cold winter here, I am so tired of the blah, boring, drab clothing. You know I love color and I love adding color into my wardrobe.This jacket was just the blast of color that I needed. Metrostyle asked me if I wanted to showcase one of their items that just screamed, “Spring” and this was what I chose. It was a really hard choice and when you visit their website and see their spring line you will know why. It is loaded with lots and lots of color. You CANNOT visit their website and not buy something. It is just not possible. Lol!I like that the jacket is longer. I prefer a jacket that strikes me mid hip or upper thigh. I will use my fingers as a guide to see if it is long enough. Someone told me when I was young that my jacket needed to be long enough to fit in my curled fingers when I had my arms hanging down. I just can’t seem to shake that notion.
Notice that the jacket is long enough in the back to cover everything you want to be covered. Hahaha The jacket is made with a back pleat so the jacket will put “pull” while you are moving around. I hate when a jacket makes you feel confined.
This has a one button closure. That is probably my favorite closure style. I feel that one or two buttons are perfect, anything more than that and I start feeling too confined. It depends on my mood how if I will wear a jacket buttoned or opened. It also depends on how much I ate the night before. Lol! A buttoned jacket can “hide” all kinds of flaws.This jacket is called the Roll Cuff Boyfriend Jacket. The cuff is what sold me on the jacket. I love the jacket style and I love the color of the jacket, but the added unique detail of the cuff is what pushed me over the edge. Here I am simply rolling the cuff to show the cute striped lining detail.

The color of this jacket is called Red Cherry, however, I think it is more of a coral color than it is a red. I ordered my normal size of a 10 and it fits perfect. Today I am wearing the jacket with a spring dress but the next time I wear this you will see me with jeans. The style of the jacket is so versatile that it will look great with almost anything.
