SPENDING MY SATURDAY SHOPPING

Today is my first official day of retirement and how do I spend it? I spent hours and hours on the Nordstrom website looking at the Anniversary Sale. lol! Here I said that I wasn’t going to be buying a lot of things and instead I have a cart full of items. It dawned on me after I had been on there forever that I should show you the items that caught my eye and that way YOU wouldn’t be on there near as long as I was.

I love clothing and I think most of you already are aware of that statement. But, I hate paying a lot of money for clothing so I am always looking for a sale or a coupon to try and get the best deal that I possibly can. The first thing that I do when I walk into a store or when I log onto a website is to check out the sales rack. I just think that is the smart thing to do. So, today, everything that I am linking to in on sale. SOme things are 20.00 off and some are hundreds of dollars off. I didn’t link to anything outrageous. There are no blouses on here for 400.00. If I wouldn’t pay the price listed then I didn’t link to it. If you want higher priced items then feel free to go for it and while you are at it, could you buy me something also. Lol!

Pajamas

Since I am retiring I have been told that I will spend a lot of time in pajamas. Lol! So, I thought that I might need to check out some new pj’s.

Jeans

Jeans are something that everyone can wear whether they work or are retired. The weekends usually involve jeans of some sort so I tried to pick several different styles.

Dresses

I love dresses because you don’t have to worry about finding something that matches. It is one item and done except for the accessories. Some people might have to wear dresses to work, or maybe out on a date night with the hubby, or maybe you wear dresses to church. Here are a few of my favorites.

Shoes

Of course, you need shoes unless you plan on going barefooted all day long. Lol! I am not sure how well that look would go over on a date night. Hahaha!

Tops

I found lots and lots of tops that I liked but I tried to limit my selection to just a few. (Maybe more than a few. ?)You can go online and check out the others if you would like.

Cardigans and Jackets

I know that it sounds crazy right now to be thinking about sweaters and jackets but when the weather starts to get cool again you will be glad that you ordered this while they were on sale.

Accessories

And for a few accessories like handbags and a few scarves. These items can make the difference in a blah outfit and a wow outfit.

I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

Congratulations Tania on your retirement. Reading your blog about cardigans with jackets would be nice. I live in California. Lol. There aren’t too many cold days here. I love my boots and jackets. December is mostly 80 degrees. I always pray for cooler weather. I guess I am just warmed blooded. Love love all your outfits. Thank you, Kathy

  2. Tania, it’s funny to me to hear you say retirement as you clearly will still be working towards new goals. You will continue to change how we see ourselves and helping us everyday just like always, just not at the lumber co.

Congratulations on your retirement, Tania! You’ll love it! I’m not one to stay in pjs either. I get dressed right after putting my makeup on. I also do my hair first thing too. Then if I decide to go somewhere or if something comes up, I’m ready for the day.

  4. Congratulations on your retirement! ENJOY!!

Loved the post today!! Love to see the selections. I work two jobs teacher by day, event coordinator by night/weekend! I don’t have time to shop all the stores. Thank you for your blog! It shows me options without leaving my desk(s)! Also, love the small devotionals on Sunday. I’m starting the Seamless bible study!

    Enjoy retirement!
