SNOW WILL SOON BE HERE, ARE YOU READY

They were calling for the snow to start falling today at 4:00 pm. I was so excited for it to snow, even if it would only be a skiff. For those who don’t know what a skiff is, it means that you can still see the grass poking through. Lol! You would think that a person who hates the cold and is always freezing wouldn’t like to see it snow, but you would be wrong. I hate cold weather, but I love snow, so I can tolerate the coldness if it brings the beautiful white fluffy stuff with it.

It is easy for me to say that I love the snow since I live on flat ground next to the main road. When you live on a hill or live in an area that doesn’t have a snowplow that clears the road, then you might hate to see even a flurry. I have great memories of playing in the snow until my fingers were so cold that I couldn’t feel them, and my mother having to make me come back inside to thaw everything out. Dang, I can still remember how bad it hurt as they would start thawing out. I also loved breaking off an icicle from off the house and licking it. YUCK! Can you even imagine doing that now? Plus, who remembers making snowcream by the bucket loads? I would still do that if the air were a little cleaner. Ahhh, did I mention that I love snow?!?

Since I was waiting impatiently for the snow, I grabbed a beautiful pink stadium coat from Talbots that I bought last year as I headed out the door. I love this coat because it not only keeps me warm, but it is super stylish as well. The length is perfect for wearing with pants or dresses, and I like that it is versatile. It is lined, as you can see, and it has a front zip and placket. It also has pockets that the website calls welt. Hmmm, I always called them slit or slash pockets. I am wearing a size 10 in the coat, and I can easily wear a sweater under it without feeling cramped. This color is no longer on the website; however, there are several other colors in this coat, so be sure to check them out if you are looking for a good everyday coat that is also fashionable.

Look at this adorable pink sweater!!! This was a gift from Chico’s, and I was so thrilled and shocked when I opened the package. The funny thing was, I had just placed the order for the sweater, and the one that I ordered came in a couple of days later. Lol! Besides being super cute, this sweater is soft and thick. It is a cashmere blend, so I am sure that is why it is soft. I am wearing a size medium, and it is a perfect size. Don’t you think this message is perfect for all of my followers???

I can’t believe that I like these pointy toe block heel shoes so much. When I first saw that this style of shoe was trending, I was shocked. I thought they looked frumpy and old, but they have grown on me since then. I actually have come around and decided that I like the style, and the block heel is easier for most people to wear. I love this pair because the back of the shoe and the heel are a shiny material, while the rest of the shoe is faux suede material. I am wearing my usual size, and they fit great.

This Vince Camuto lambskin handbag has been a favorite of mine ever since it arrived. I love black and gold together, and I think it looks luxurious and elegant. I liked the pairing so much that I ordered a black vanity for my bathroom with gold pulls on the cabinets. I love the large size of this handbag and how it has so many compartments. The lambskin leather is very soft and subtle, and I think this is a handbag that you would carry for years.

I forgot to mention my jewelry, but I am wearing Maggie large (the small hoops are the only ones available), filigree gold hoops, the Elisa gold vermeil engravable pendant necklace, and the gold vermeil chain and cross charm that I wear daily.

These are leggings, but they are also a Ponte knit pant. They feel like leggings, except they are thicker and a nicer fabric. I love the snaps at the hem, which give the leggings a dressier look and adds a unique detail. These are super versatile and would look great with an oversized sweater, a cardigan, boots, or a cute printed tunic. I am wearing a size 1, and they are snug but not too tight.

Well, it doesn’t look like I am going to get my snow after all, but at least I looked cute wearing the coat. Lol! What is your favorite memory from playing in the snow? Did you ever make snow cream???
