I know some people who are gifted when it comes to paying compliments or singing someone’s praise. I am NOT that person. I feel awkward and it just doesn’t come naturally to me. That is fine when it comes to people but that is not alright when it comes to the Lord. We are supposed to praise Him. The problem is that I just can’t seem to find the words and it doesn’t feel right. I say thank you to the Lord over and over again each day but that is not praise. I think it is very important to thank the Lord for His blessings. I think it is important to thank the Lord His grace and mercies. But, I also know that it is important to praise HIM. Every time that I try I just feel like I am just doing lip service and that is not at all what I want to do.

Ouch, that is like an arrow to my heart. So, I have been in search of a way to praise the Lord and I think I have finally found it. It is by singing His praise. I listen to Sirius radio and I usually keep it on a station called The Message. That is channel 63 if any of you are wondering. Anyway, yesterday I was singing along to the song by Christ Tomlin called Indescribable. Here are the lyrics:

My hope is that by singing or reading these words that I will become more comfortable in my praise. I believe every word of this but I just can’t think of it on my own. I think the Lord already knows this about me and I hope He understands.
