SIDE STRIPED JEANS
First off, for those of you who follow me from Paris, my heart goes out to you. I was so emotional yesterday when I watched the live feed of the fire that was engulfing the cathedral at Notre Dame. I just kept thinking of the years and years of history that was being destroyed in the matter of a few hours. When I read the article online, they said that they were trying to save as much of the artwork as they could. They also mention that no lives had been lost at that time, so I am thankful to hear that.
I don’t like telling funny stories on myself, I would much rather throw Joe under the bus. Lol! But, I have to tell you gurls this because I found it funny, and thought that you might also. I went to the lumber company yesterday to help my son with reconciling the bank account because it takes forever. I told him to work on the normal work things, and that I would work on the reconciliation. He did the running to the bank and post office, and then he came back and starting putting the accounts receivable payments into the computer. He mentioned to me that he had seen the Notre Dame was on fire while he was out running his errands. I said how sad that was and kept on working. When I left later that day and went home, I brought up my Facebook feed and noticed that my brother-in-law mentioned something about Paris, and how bad he felt for everyone. I was sitting there wondering what had happened. So, I hopped on a news website and typed in Paris, and that is when I saw the huge fire. That is when I got tickled, not because of the fire, but because I was thinking that my son was talking about the Notre Dame campus in Indiana. It never even occurred to me that he was talking about THE Notre Dame in Paris being on fire. I just thought that a building on the Notre Dame campus was on fire, and that was horrible. But, the Notre Dame Cathedral on fire is a disaster. I think that I might have watched the movie RUDY one too many times. Lol!
If you are wondering if you can still wear leopard print in the spring and summer, the answer is yes! The leopard print is a year-round print and it can be worn at any time of the year. This leopard print t-shirt is one that I bought several months ago and it is no longer on the website. However, you don’t have to fret because there are TONS and TONS of leopard printed shirts in the stores and online. I am going to take 3 minutes and find some that I think that you will like, but I could literally find hundreds of tops for you.
This outfit was what I wore when I was traveling to Charlotte, NC to hop on the plane to Mexico. The trip was something that I had earned from Rodan + Fields, so I thought that it was appropriate for me to carry this cute straw bag that was a gift from them. They gave me this bag on my trip to Cancun last year. It just so happens that straw and raffia bags are really popular this spring and summer.
I told you on yesterday’s post (here) that I have fallen in love with shoes from Michael Kors. Here is another pair that I bought last summer and I love the slide on sandal style. I am also partial to this color for shoes because I think that it goes so well with most other colors. This style will look great with sundresses, shorts, crops, jeans, you name it and this works!
I am so bummed! I hate it when I buy something that I think you will love and it is sold out before I can get it on the blog. These distressed jeans with the unique detail of the side stripe are from Sofia Jeans and I found them on the Walmart website. If you are a size 0 or a 2, then you can still purchase them, but all of the other sizes have already sold out. Here is the link to this pair. And, here are a few others that I found for you to see. The side stripe is very popular on jeans, so grab you a pair.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s casual look. You can’t get much more casual than a pair of distressed jeans, a t-shirt, and a pair of sandals. It is all about making stylish choices, even when you are selecting basic items.

Very cute outfit. How sad that Notre Dame burned…all that history. Cute shoes too!
I absolutely love your style! I found you on Pinterest and have just started following you. You have such a great look and I’m not going to lie to you, I’m copying some of your styles-think that yellow dress from Old Navy! Keep it coming Tania!.
YAY!!!! Thanks so much, Julie! I love that yellow dress!
Such a shame about the fire.
I love your style posts and they’ve helped me a lot to try different things.
