SHORT, SWEET, & SHAGGY

As, I was leaving to go to work, I was driving down the road in front of the house, and the little dog started running down the street in front of me. I stopped the car and honked the horn. It actually stopped and looked at me, so I opened up the door and called for it, and it actually came to me. Poor little thing was FILTHY. Not just a little bit, but muddy, nasty, stinky, dirty. I picked it up and put it in the car, and it seemed right at home. I am sure I stunk by the time I made it to work. I just happened to have a dog crate at work, don’t ask why, so I put it in the crate and found it some food. It gobbled down two bowls. I called the dog groomer and she agreed to work the dog in, to try to get out some of the cockleburs.
When “she” got back from the groomers, she consumed some left over food, a few French fries, Girl Scout cookies, and some chicken. It was what we had on hand. I am going to post on FaceBook that I found a dog, and let anyone that is missing one send me a picture to see if it is theirs. Otherwise it looks like me or my sister-in-law will be getting a dog. After all she is the one who spotted her. Haha.
Till then, she needs a name. Bertha says Gypsy, Sandy says Missy, I have been calling her Lucy Goosey, and my son says Sassy. Do you gurls have any suggestions? As I write this she is under my left arm, sound asleep on the couch. And, I have just discovered she snores. Lol!
Sorry, I don’t have a lot of fashion on the blog today. I just didn’t manage my time very well. I will make it up to you tomorrow. And if the pooch is still here, I’ll post a picture! Remember to vote on a name, just in case.
I want to thank everyone who has entered for the Stella & Dot tote giveaway. If you have not already entered, then go here to enter.

Cute sweater! How kind you are to take care of the lost dog. I really enjoy your blog and pics.
Maybe you should call her Lucky, since she was lucky you found her 🙂
Tania you look skinny in this pic. Are you losing weight? Love your blog. It’s the first thing I read everyday. You’ve given me so much inspiration And help in choosing outfits. Thank you! Keep the posts coming! Would love to see a cocktail or formal outfit.
I wish I was losing weight, it must just be the pose. Haha I have to go to the GFWC Virginia Woman’s Club Convention in May. You should see some more formal and cocktail type outfits then. There is not a lot of night life in Grundy, VA:(
After a long, trying day, your heartwarming story was a perfect pick me up. How wonderful of you to show such kindness to a dog who needed you. Many wouldn’t bother. My vote is for Gypsy!
Gypsy seems appropriate if you don’t find her owner. So wonderful you took her in! I hope everything works out!
Would you consider Lucy Goosey? My dog ,a Shitszu passed away on Thursday last week. Her name was Lucy. My family is completely heartbroken. We are partial to that name obviously! If it helps we rescued her from being sent to a shelter and have never had 13 more joyous years than when she was alive.
It is so hard to lose a pet. My Beckley is going on eleven years old, and he is the first “house” dog we have ever had. We are always saying how we can’t imagine losing him. I am sorry for your loss of Lucy.
