SHE BELIEVED SHE COULD
Have you ever doubted your abilities? I know that I have pretty much most of my life. I am a scaredy-cat when it comes to a LOT of things. I am pretty much petrified of heights. That means that I don’t like to fly and I hate staying in hotels on the higher floors. When I went to Las Vegas in 2016 we stayed in the Penthouse which was on the 20th floor I think. Going out on the balcony would make my stomach turn somersaults.
But, even though I am afraid of certain things I have always had this weird notion that I could do anything. Why is it that some people are sure of their abilities and have confidence in what they can accomplish and others refuse to even try? I am not expecting an answer, I am just thinking out loud. I love the saying, “She Believed She Could So She Did.” I believe people are capable of so much more than they know, they just need to believe and then DO IT!!! First comes belief an then comes actions. Without both of these together you will probably not succeed. #soapboxrant
Graphic tee-shirts are not over women over 40……NOT! “They” are always trying to tell us women what to wear and I am going to quote Joe right now. “Who are they?” Whenever I start telling Joe about something that “they” said, he will stop me and ask me who they are. This is actually a very good question and one that you should ask yourself in everything. Who are they and why do you care what they think? The only thing that I have to say about graphic tees is this, make sure they fit and that you agree with what the saying on the shirt says. 
Yay, the jewelry is back!!! It is very unusual for me not to wear jewelry and even more unusual for me not to wear it on the blog. lol! I wondered if you gurls would even notice that I didn’t have any on and you didn’t disappoint me. Hahaha! I am a lover of all accessories since they are really enhancements. My enhancements today are the Paula silver hammered earrings with black fringe and the Darla silver and black link bracelet. 
The leaf design is big this year. I have seen lots of clothing with palm leaves, etc. on them but I hadn’t noticed the design on shoes until I saw this pair the other day. I would tell you who these are made by except that I didn’t bring them with me on my vacation and I can’t remember. Lol! Anyway, they are silver metallic leather and the leather has been cut to resemble a leaf. How cute is that? I like these kinds of sandals for a small amount of walking but if I am going to be walking a lot then I will need more support.
I wonder what “they,” say about camo pants over 40. Lol! I bet I don’t really want to know since I wouldn’t like it. Anyway, camo is just a print, that is all it is. If you like it then wear it and if you don’t like it then simply don’t purchase it. Wow!!! That was pretty simple. I love graffic tees and thanks to you I can now wear them again! Yay! One of my favorite is “She laughs” Proverbs 31:25. Another is Grateful, Thankful, Blessed, and also “Wild Heart”, but I SO love yours too! I just got those earrings and love them!
My favorite is, “Save water. Drink more wine.” Just doing my part since down here in the Texas Hill Country we are already on Stage #1 drought restrictions and about to move to Stage #2! I must have those sandals!!! ?
My favorite graphic tee says “When life gives you lemons, mix them with vodka!” (and I don’t even drink!) It just reminds me that bad can always be turned into something good!

Travel request – We are heading from Dallas for Myrtle Beach for 2 weeks in August (a very round about way to get our daughter to her freshman year at Sewanee, Tennessee). Hi Penny, I live in SC and have spent most of my life vacationing there. I will give you a couple of places where I think you will definitely enjoy: Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, Broadway on the Beach, Dixie Stampede, a huge variety of great Putt Putt and or if you like/prefer…Golf Courses! If you get a chance and you like wildlife, check out T.I.G.E.R. Preservation. There’s so much to do there…you will not be bored. Enjoy visiting our great state and our coast line! If you have time, spend a day in Charleston…it’s not the far away.

You’ve just gotta love the sage advice we get from people who graduated from “They University!” It’s amazing how much “they” know! I have several graphic tee shirts. The one I wore yesterday says, “This Llama Don’t Need Your Drama.” I also have a tee that says, “Livin’ on a Prayer,” and another that says, “Wife, Dog Mom, Boss.” Pretty much sums it up for me! 😉 Thanks for your blog!
