SELF DEVELOPMENT AND PERSONAL GROWTH
In my never-ending quest to improve myself and my blog, I started a five-day training course on Monday. Every day a new video was uploaded and a different topic was talked about. This week has been swamped for me so I just couldn’t find the time to sit down and listen to the videos. They were only about 30 minutes long but I still couldn’t find the time. Today was the last day for the videos so I was determined that I would make this a priority. I went back and started with video 1 and I listened to ALL 5 of the videos and took notes. It took me longer than 3 1/2 hours because I would have to stop for phone calls or Joe would come in and need something, but I finished the course and felt good about myself.
After the course was finished, guess what I did? I signed up for all kinds of classes from this person and made an investment in my business and in my personal growth and development. If nothing else has come from me starting a blog, I am happy just because I have been doing a ton of self-development books and videos. I watch, read, or listen to something daily. I used to think that this was just people trying to sell books and that I would read them and not really get anything from my time and effort. I was wrong! They are trying to sell books, etc., but a lot of them are actually trying to help you discover the person inside of you that you have either hidden, forgot about, never let develop, or just didn’t know you had. I probably fall into the last category and I bet a lot of you do also. I simply never knew what I was capable of doing more because I never put myself out there. I hated trying new things because I might not be good at it. I was afraid that I would fail or that people would snicker and laugh at me. I watched other’s step out and try new things but I simply concentrated on what I already knew and what I was good at. I was content. I was also stagnant. I had quit growing and evolving. Guess what, you either continue to grow or you will start to lose ground because nothing or no one can remain the same. Don’t give up on life. Branch out and learn something new. Expand your horizons.
I just love the look of tie-dye. Maybe I am having flashbacks to my youth but there is something comforting to me about this pattern. How many of you have ever tried to do a tie-dyed shirt? Mine never turned out and all I would get was a muddy looking mess. Lol! However, my daughter and DIL are both very good at it. This dress is cute and very flattering on. It has the high empire waist, which is flattering to most people, and it also has the deep v-neckline and a wrap style. All of those features are flattering by themselves but this dress combines all of them. I am wearing a size large in this dress for a size reference. You will see later how the dress has a slit up one side so the dress is only lined down to that point. It is rayon so you can hand wash this and then lay flat to dry. I love the color combinations on this dress. The colors are bright enough to wear in the summer season but you can easily wear this in the fall as well by adding a cardigan or jacket. The dress is by One Clothing and you can find it by going here.
I have seen these lace kimonos in several stores this fall. Either they are popular or all of the stores that I frequent buy their clothing from the same place. Lol! I have seen these in black, white, and black & white but this was the first one that I had seen in this gorgeous mustard color. I really like that and I can see me wearing this with jeans and a t-shirt or over a swing dress.
If anyone would ask me what was the one thing that I would change about my skin I would tell them that I wish it was soft. I think my dry skin is an inherited condition and then menopause and a thyroid condition have made it even worse. My poor skin was beginning to resemble an alligators skin with the bumps and all. I’ll be honest, when R+F announced the newest product was the Active Hydration Body Replenish I was ecstatic but not real hopeful. I figured that the cream would be nice (duh) but I really didn’t have high hopes that it would work on my skin. The difference is already remarkable! My skin used to feel like sandpaper on my arms, (a lovely thing to have) and now they are almost subtle. I swear that I am now obsessed with telling everyone about this miracle cream. If it works half as good for you as it has for me you will be sending me a thank-you letter. Lol! Buying this alone does not qualify for a Preferred Customer order which would get you a 10% discount and free shipping. But, if you purchase the Active Hydration Serum (for your face) and the Active Hydration Body Replenish BUNDLE then you get it at a 15% discount over buying them separately plus as a PC you would receive another 10% off plus free shipping. That is a great deal and you can check it out by going here. Don’t forget to become a PC and I will reimburse you the enrollment fee!

I cannot find that necklace. Could you name it, so I can search the sight for it? As I am scrolling down on your shopping sight, it does blank out for a moment as it goes through….maybe I am just missing it. But I really like that necklace! Thanks!
Love today’s outfit and I love Vionic shoes. Vionic flip flops are the best.
