SAILOR PANTS AND A CROP JACKET

WOOHOO!!!! The payroll is finally finished! I might be able to get back to normal before long. It got finished just in the nick of time because my mother and her friend came to stay the weekend with me. They bring lots of vintage clothing and jewelry and put on a Vintage Fashion Show as a fundraiser for the woman’s club.I can’t wait to go through everything and see what I just can’t do without. I know there will be several lucite purses and some Vendome jewelry that I am interested in. I don’t carry the purses but I still like to buy them. I have 3 purses that I really like and I will occasionally carry to fancy events but for the most time, they just are used for decorations. I do love vintage, it is usually well made and has unique details galore!!!Short and sweet will be how I describe the blog for the next couple of days. Since I have family in I don’t want to ignore them completely. The red cropped jacket is spectacular, I love it. Guess where I got it? How many of you said the overstock store??? No, that is not where I got it, I got it at an estate sale when I was in Georgia. In fact, I bought a lot at that sale, the lady was my size and had my taste. I came home with several bags full. This is a George Simonton and is a size 10. I love the big gold buttons and the collarless style.I am wearing the Melinda bracelet, it is lots of seed pearls in different designs. The matching necklace is called the Helga and it is adjustable from 17″ to 20″ long. It is a shorter necklace that has the pearl designs that dangle. The Gavin bracelet looks like Art Deco jewelry to me. That is perfect for the upcoming fashion show. This bracelet is elastic so it is easy to get on and off.This is a new pair of sailor style jeans that I bought when we went to Charleston. They are from Talbots which is one of my all-time favorite stores. I would buy more from there if I lived closer to a store. The military look is a huge trend this year especially when it comes to military jackets.
