50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZEveryone needs to get away every now and then. My trip to Lake Oconee has provided some much need rest and relaxation. While relaxing was high on the agenda going out to eat for a nice dinner was even higher on the agenda. I knew we had dinner reservations on Saturday night and I was stressing over what to pack. I wanted to wear something that I hadn’t worn before and since I am traveling with a younger crowd I wanted to look really nice.50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZI pretty much leaped for joy when I got the email from Erin at Purple Poppy asking me if I liked the Nally & Millie Polka Dot top. Typing “YES” was done it record time. Polka Dot prints are fun and I am drawn to items with this pattern. I really liked that it was black, go figure, because I was already envisioning wearing it with a pair of white pants.50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZThe top is sheer and the polka dot pattern is over the entire top. I added my own black tank under the top but I also played with adding white and a bright pink color. They both looked super cute and I can see wearing the pink with jeans later for a more casual look. This top runs large so I am wearing one size smaller than usual. 50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZ I wanted to include the view from the back so that you see that the pattern is not on the front only. 50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZYou can never go wrong with classic black and white. Erin asked if I had ever tried the Lisette pant and wanted to send me this full-length pair to see what I thought. I am usually skeptical of white pants if I don’t see them in person. I knew that the quality of the clothing I had previously gotten from the Purple Poppy had always been great so I figured these would be nice. I was right, this pair is plenty thick so that you can’t see through them and there is a front panel on the inside to give extra tummy control. This pair has plenty of stretch so that you have no problem getting in and out of vehicles. There is also an ankle pant style for those who need a shorter version. I am wearing my normal size which is a 10.50 IS NOT OLD | PUTTING ON THE RITZIt doesn’t matter if you are going out to dinner, attending a party, or just feel like putting on the ritz, you can’t go wrong with this outfit from Purple Poppy. And in case you were wondering, that younger crowd loved my look. Lol!

  3. Very cute outfit. Love your nail polish. Do you know the color?

    1. No, Sharon, I am afraid I don’t. The nail place I go to now has bottles that only use numbers so I never know a name now.

  4. Another beautiful outfit today!! I love the polka dots and black and white is always a classy look! So glad you had a good time with the younger girls – ha. They’ve got nothin’ on you! lol Where did you get the longer tank with the lace edging? I need some top extenders like that but I don’t know where I can purchase any. Do you have any suggestions? Have a great week!

    1. Kim, the girls were a lot of fun. The longer tank is really old and it was from Victoria Secrets.

  5. Beautiful outfit on a beautiful lady!

  6. Cute look! Younger crowd lucky to have you- I like to remind myself of that often! Just cause media reinforces that being younger is better/ cooler – not buying it! HA

Love black and white together, but I’ve always been reluctant to wear white in the winter. The old saying no while after Labor Day. Seems like it stuck in my head, but now that I see you wear it maybe there’s hope for me. Going on a cruise in a few weeks and really wanted to wear white pants. The struggle is real! Glad you had a relaxing and fun weekend, can’t wait for mine.
