A PUFFER JACKET CAN BE STYLISH
So, let me tell you about my weekend. It all started on Friday night when Emersyn called and said she wanted to spend the night with NeeNee. With Emersyn it is hit or miss as to whether she will actually stay the night or if she will start to whine that she wants her mommy and daddy. Friday night was a miss. When she started getting tired and wanting to go to bed she wanted her daddy to come and get her. That is when the “I want to go home” and the “I want to stay with NeeNee” starts. She can never make up her mind. What she really wanted was for mommy, daddy, and baby brother to come to my house and all of them spend the night. Lol! Joseph ended up laying down with us until she fell asleep and then he went home.
Emersyn bolted up out of bed and demanded to know where her daddy was. I told her that mommy didn’t want to spend the night by herself and she was fine with that. After a breakfast of pancakes and a lunch of Dairy Queen, we headed to get our nails done. She got fuschia and purple nails with polka dots and I got red with one nail in silver with red snowflakes. Next, it was off to Walmart for a small amount of grocery shopping and buying a present for Beckham. Once we got home I let her wrap the package and put it under the tree. She couldn’t wait to show her daddy the present when he came to get her later that night. She doesn’t understand the concept of not “opening” packages yet. I have a feeling they will have problems keeping her things wrapped this year. Lol!
I don’t know what has gotten into me lately. I am wearing lots of black and I am actually liking it. Lol! I wore this Saturday when Emersyn and I were out running around town. This is my casual look. I know someone mentioned casual Friday but I do casual Saturdays. I love a gingham check and this is so crisp looking. I passed up a black and white check shirt a couple years ago at J. Crew and I have grieved ever since. I bought this shirt at Belks a year ago since it was similar. Even though this shirt is similar, I am still grieving for the other one.
I don’t have very much to show you today in the jewelry line. I have on my Sam earrings which are very cute. I wore these in Atlanta when I was at my sister’s house. My mother loved them!!! So, for you who think that wearing cute dangle earrings is only for the young girls, you are wrong. These earrings are for the young at heart! I am sorry that the pendant has already sold out but I still wanted to show it to you. It says, “Oh come let us adore Him.”
And, the reverse side shows the Baby Jesus in a manger. Be sure to check the specials tabs often. They upload items all the time and before I can even tell you about them they can be sold out.
My suede ankle boots are by Isaac Mizrahi. I have had this pair for at least a year. I also have this same pair in Hazelnut. (here) These are a wedge style which is the most comfortable style of heel there is. You can’t see it because of the jeans but they have a buckle closure which gives them a stylish feature. These have a side zipper which makes them easy to slip on and off. 
I know you couldn’t help but notice my black puffer vest. I bought this at Old Navy back in September. I bought one for me, my energizer bunny friend, and my New Jersey buddy who was going with me to Charleston for the virtual Rodan + Fields convention. We love giving each other presents and I think they loved them. Wouldn’t you know, they put them on sale now. They are only 15.00 so these make great presents! Yours just won’t have the stylish R+F embroidered on it. Lol!!!

I hate wearing jackets/coats too. I don’t like my arms being restricted when I am driving ( I have such a long commute, 5miles door to door). I do wear vests thought, even when it snows, which hear in NH could happen at any time. You look good in black.
I’m with you Tania about the black. All fall I couldn’t even look at it then when a cold snap came through all of a sudden I’m fine with it. Weird! And I love my skinny jeans but flares are a nice alternative and because I’m bigger on top I feel the flare balances me out a bit more. Have a great day!

I’ve been loving my bootcut jeans too lately, Tania!! I think it’s that they are different!! Truly, I don’t think we will get rid of our skinnies yet (they are too easy to tuck into boots) but it’s nice to have a variety with the flare ones!!!|

Best memory of Christmas….30 years ago when I had my first son on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning the nurse brought him in to me in a giant stocking with a red knit cap on his head! He was peeking up at me from the stocking and my heart melted. Still have the stocking.

Laurie, I have never been a fan of puffer vests because I thought they made me have more bulk than I wanted.

I like the pointed shoe style on you the best. If you look at all your pictures you will see that when you wear rounded toe shoes you look cute but when you were pointed toe, SEXY. Just saying
I agree, Rosalie. Pointed toe shoes helps to elongate your leg and they do create a “sexier” look.
