DSC_0365It’s a wrap! Not the top, but the series. This is 5 of 5, and we have made it to the end. Are you sick of ponchos yet? I hope you will enjoy this last one.DSC_0362I love the cable knitting on this poncho. It is the prettiest one that I have worn, at least in my opinion. This poncho is by Inis Crafts and is 100% merino wool. I can’t remember if I bought this at Marshall’s or T J Maxx, but I found it on ebay here. This is a “true” poncho, so you have to wear a shirt or tank top under it. It was warm here, in the high 60’s, so I only have a tank top on.DSC_0359I pinned a huge pearl brooch to it that I bought at a vintage fashion show. And added a pair of gold Stella & Dot leaf earrings. These earrings have a cute row of rhinestones that run down the center.DSC_0361I decided to stay with the Stella & Dot theme, and added a leaf gold cuff bracelet. The purse is also Stella & Dot, and is one of my favorites. I carried it almost everyday last year, and I still like it. That is unusual for me, since I get tired of items fast. Most of the time, when I quit carrying a purse, it never comes out of retirement. DSC_0357The large pearl bracelet is one that I got at Cato’s earlier this fall. I thought it helped to “tie” in the brooch. The leopard print shoes are also from Cato, a last years purchase. Here is a similar paid from Express. These pants are corduroy boot cut, and came from Old Navy.

I hope this post made a little sense. I have just driven for 9 hours, and I might be just a little loopey. I know the trip only takes 6 hours, but a girl has to shop along the way. The sacrifices I make, for you, my readers. Lol!

Love your blog! As a 58 year old I found it very hard to dress! You make it easier! P.S. I purchased the Old Navy T “Mascara and Coffee” I can’t wait to wear it!

Thank you so much for this blog! And I do love the Ponchos.

  3. I will just say once again that I love your blog! You are funny, gorgeous and you sense of style is what I aim for. Keep up the great advice! How big is your closet? I feel like I have a ton of clothes but just cannot get the outfits together. I use your pictures as a reference but still feel I miss the mark when trying to get an outfit completed so I refer back to my safe style. Anytime I veer from the norm I get nervous and think people will think I am trying too hard so I revert back to vanilla. Help me……

    1. Debbie, I know how you feel. I get dressed a lot of times, and then go to work and see myself in the mirror and think, “what were you thinking?”. I’ve even yanked off scarves, jackets, etc. We are probably out biggest critics. The funny thing is, the outfit that I think the people at work are going to say something about, they just seem to ignore. It makes me wonder if they are using their mother’s advice, “if you don’t have something nice to say, then say nothing at all”. LOL! Either way, in the long run, who really cares. Be brave, and send me your picture so I can see “strawberry or chocolate”. ????

  4. I am really enjoying your blog! So happy I found it. Looking for a poncho, but just haven’t found the right one yet, but I will.

Tania, I found your blog a week or so ago, and enjoyed your posts and style so much that I read all the way back to the beginning. I’m really liking all of the ponchos that I see on bloggers and in the stores. I have bought one or two, just haven’t gotten around to wearing them yet. I hope I like them on me too!
My favorite of your ponchos were number 4 and 5, especially number 5, the color, fiber, and cables!

  6. Sooo…I have to tell you that I LOVE your style! So pulled together, updated, and a little funky. I’ve been wanting to comment for awhile, so I have lots to say. Lol! You are DEF not too old to be styling distressed jeans–they look fantastic on you and I adore the way you accessorize all your outfits. This is neither here nor there, but I am a good deal younger than 50, and I am inspired by many of your looks. I bought the cute Talbots dog sweater, and am drooling over the leopard sweatshirt. Do you mind sharing how tall you are? I am short and tiny, so it’s hard to gauge length of some of the items you show…

Anyway, fantastic blog. I love checking in every morning for more great ideas. Am a tiny bit jealous that you love so close to a qvc outlet. You seem to score in BIG way there 🙂

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Lol, Michelle. You have made me laugh. I kind of like being a little funky???? I am around 5’6, just so you can gauge the length of items. I do tend to wear long shirts, ponchos, sweaters, etc. I’m glad you are following, and it looks like we need to have a large get together for everyone at the QVC outlet. Hahaha
