50 IS NOT OLD | PERKS OF SMALL TOWN LIVINGSaturday Joe left to go play golf and I jumped in the shower to get ready for a lunch date with my Energizer Bunny Friend and her daughter. I heard the telephone ring while I was in the shower but I didn’t bother to get out to see who it was, I figured they could wait. Once I got out and tied the towel around me I went to see who had called me. 50 IS NOT OLD | PERKS OF SMALL TOWN LIVINGIt had been Joe so I called him back to see what he wanted. He wanted to know if I was planning on going anywhere because he needed me to run an errand for him. I had asked if he wanted me to fix him a sandwich before he left and he said he would just pick him up something down the road. He had gone to a restaurant on the way to the golf course and got him something to eat but when he got ready to pay he realized that he had forgotten his wallet at the house. Haha! This is one of those times when you are really glad that you live in a small town. They told him not to worry about it that he could drop back by later. I went down later to pay his tab which ended up being 2.67. Lol!!! I had to tease him just a little when he got back home. All he said was, “This is going on the blog isn’t it?” ? DUH!!!!50 IS NOT OLD | PERKS OF SMALL TOWN LIVINGIt has been a little bit cool this week. We had a cold spell go through and the high was only supposed to be around the low 70’s so I didn’t want to wear something sleeveless. This long cardigan with short sleeves was perfect since it added just a tiny bit of warmth but wasn’t too hot. This cardigan had one hook and eye closure which I feel makes you look slimmer. It brings your eye inward creating the illusion of an hourglass. I love items that create illusions, I need all the help I can get.

50 IS NOT OLD | PERKS OF SMALL TOWN LIVINGThese Kendall earrings are pretty showy. They are only 1.5″ but the large crystals and the tassel are very eye catching. I know the necklace has caught your eye. Today I have the Imogene necklace in a short version but I normally wear it long like I did here. I thought the light gray/taupe colored crystals went well with this outfit. I know this necklace will be one I will continue to wear into the fall. The last of my Plunder jewelry today is the Selma bracelet. The Selma bracelet has such a wide array of colors that it looks good with almost anything. lol! I picked it though because of the topaz colored stones. Remember that school will be starting soon. Buying the Noah lanyard for your favorite teacher would be a wonderful back to school gift, especially since it is only 16.00. I had several people think I had on a maxi skirt today. You can just barely see the taupe colored stripe in the pattern but that is what I decided to highlight in my top I wore. One of the reasons I like a palazzo pant is that you can wear them to events that are more toward the formal side. They are very versatile so you can get a lot of wear from them.

50 IS NOT OLD | PERKS OF SMALL TOWN LIVINGI hope you like the top I have on with the pants. I wanted a shorter top but this one might be just a tad shorter than I wanted. I liked the lace details at the top and I thought that this color could go with so many things and I really look forward to wearing it with black. I love wearing black and beige together, I think it is a classic combination.

    1. Small town living does have its advantages. When my daughter got pulled over for a speeding ticket I got a call and pulled in before the officer even got the ticket finished. Lol!

    1. It is a Joan Rivers that I got at the overstock store in town.

  12. Tania, you keep on surprising us with your great choices in clothing. I love your palazzo pants, and you put together
colours and patterns so well. I also loved yesterdays pink combinations. I really like Rodan and Fields, great products and a great business opportunity.

  13. That is the benefiet of living in a small town. But we went to a foodtruck festival in a village and a few months ago we went to one in a city. The fibe in the city is totally different! Although I live in a village, I like the city fibe better!
