MIX AND MATCH OUTFITS PERFECT FOR YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER

 

I don’t know about you, but I am already starting to think about my Thanksgiving dinner. I know it is a month away, but lately, I’ve been dieting, and I am looking forward to eating turkey, dressing, and yeast rolls! YUM! I can almost taste the goodness already.

One thing that always happens with my Thanksgiving dinner is that I tend to overeat and need a nap. Can I see a show of hands of those who can relate? I can’t help you with the nap part, but I have some ideas on making your Thanksgiving a little more pleasant.

Instead of telling you to limit your food, use a smaller plate, or drink several glasses of water before you sit down to eat, I will show you how to be more comfortable while you enjoy the day. If it were a typical day, then those things are a great way to keep from overeating. But, for Thanksgiving dinner, I think you need to enjoy yourself and eat a “little” of everything you like. Thanksgiving is not the day for dieting.

Outfits Perfect for Thanksgiving Dinner

When it comes to any Holiday, I want to look stylish and put together. There will be a lot of photos taken during the holidays, and you don’t want to be dressed frumpy, in an oversized tee, or a stained outfit. Cook your food, and then take a few minutes to change into your “let’s eat” outfit.

These gorgeous knit outfits are perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner since they won’t bind you or make you feel like you need to unbutton your pants. I added this striped Duster Cardigan to my monochromatic gray outfit for some added color and style. The balloon sleeves are a trending style detail this year, and color block outfits are also a hot item. Since this duster also includes light pink, this would work well into spring. I added these platform heels to my look, and I like their soft gray color. These have an ankle strap for a secure fit; the covered block heel is in the same fabric as the shoe. The platform heels run TTS, and I am wearing my usual size 9. I am sure that some of you might not want to wear platform heels, so this wedge shoe with a buckle accent would work well also.

Even though this outfit consists of many of the same pieces, just in different colors, it looks completely different. This Duster Cardigan is the same one as above, except this one has a neutral stripe. I think this duster would look gorgeous worn with black!

The Camel Mockneck Sweater Tank is polished and luxurious looking. The fine gauge knit material looks like it costs way more than it does, which is an excellent thing. This tank comes in three versions, and I’ll show you how each looks when mixed and matched with the pants and cardigans. I ordered a large in the tanks because I didn’t want them to cling to my Thanksgiving dinner. Lol! Here is the Plus Size Mockneck Sweater Tank, and here is the Petite version.

It is a toss-up which I like the best since I love the monochromatic gray look as much as this dark camel color. The gray color block in the duster looks great with the all-gray outfit. Mix and match clothing are how you can stretch your wardrobe possibilities.

If you like pattern mixing, you might like the Striped Mockneck Sweater Tank instead of a solid-colored one. This gave the outfit a different look, and it was as easy as switching out a tank. Here is the Petite Mockneck Sweater Tank for you.

You could also choose not to wear the neutral striped duster and instead wear a solid-colored cardigan. I’ll link to some that I think would work with this outfit.

These ankle strap 2″ block heels faux-suede shoes are a great neutral color! These will go with lots of different items and would look fantastic with skinny jeans or a dress. These shoes have a padded footbed, so they would be comfortable to wear for your Thanksgiving dinner.

This outfit is a different look, using the same knit pants as before. If wearing a duster cardigan doesn’t fit your style, you might prefer this color block tunic sweater instead.

I love this mockneck ribbed tunic sweater, and I think the off-center color block is a nice detail. Gray and camel are neutral colors that go with anything, and I can see you finding lots of ways to wear this tunic. The length of this sweater hits below the hips and would be acceptable to wear with leggings.

I am wearing a medium in this sweater, but a small would have fit me better. It is a tad bit oversized, so go with the smaller size if you are between sizes. Here is a short sleeve version.

Finally, here are the wide-leg knit pants that I am wearing in all of the looks. These knit pants are beyond comfortable, and the knit material is luxurious and polished looking. These pants can double as loungewear, but they look professional enough to wear to a meeting or work. I am wearing a medium, and I think that is the perfect size for me.
