Do you notice my little friend? This morning when I went out to take my pictures I noticed this little Katydid beside my fern. Thanks again, Charlcy, for the ferns, I can’t believe they are still alive. Lol! Anyway, once I saw the Katydid I was immediately transported back in time. Joe and I lived in Lafayette, Georgia for a little over a year. Lafayette was about an hour and 15 minutes from my mom and dad’s house. There was a shortcut that you could take to get to my house that involved going some back roads and traveling over a mountain. You could stay on the interstate but it was at least 20 minutes longer that way. Anyway, one night Joe and I were traveling to the house and when we got on the very top of that mountain the sound was almost deafening. We pulled our car over and stopped just to listen. We rolled down the windows and couldn’t believe how loud the sound was. It had to be thousands of Katydids singing all at once. If you have never heard the roar of a thousand Katydids you need to go to youtube and search for the sound.Look at me wearing florals again. For someone who doesn’t care for a floral pattern, I have sure gone all gung-ho. I think I must just be feeling “romantic” because you will notice that my outfits seem to be reflecting that. Your wardrobe talks. It says how you are feeling and what you think about life. If you go around sloppy and slouchy it will affect your mood and outlook. If you take the time to put on makeup, style your hair, and put on an outfit that you think looks special then your mood and energy will reflect that. I wore this top when I went to San Diego.
There are times when I like my jewelry and there are times when I feel that it is just ok. Today I am on the woohoo side. I really like the look that they jewelry makes in this look versus the look when I was in San Diego. The earrings I have on are the Tillie. I had to look twice to see if that was what I had on. I swear the picture on the web does not do these justice. It reminds me of tic tac toe with rhinestones and pearls. Lol!I am wearing my Noah necklace with the added Flamingopendant. The pendant says, “Be a Flamingo in a Flock of Pigeons.” That strikes me as hilarious! The only thing I know about a flock of pigeons is the nasty mess they leave behind when they take flight. You do not want to have a freshly washed car when that happens. Haha! I have on three bling bracelets today. I haven’t worn these as much as I used to but I still love them. I have on the Broedrick, the Flynn, and the Chalon. Here is the other side of the Flamingo pendant. It has a picture of a Flamingo and there are sparkles all in the background. The stretch bracelet I have on is the Valerie. It is lots of mini pearl dangles on an elastic cord. This does not make a loud noise for any of you that are wondering. My purse is just a cheap plain white purse. I can’t even remember where I bought this from. I wanted a white purse and I couldn’t find a “nice” one that I wanted so I bought this. I only carry it occasionally so I didn’t figure it mattered.
I wore these sandals again today for just in case I forgot who I was. I could just look down and I would at least have my initials to start my search with. Just kidding, but I do like monogramming on clothing. My daughter HATES anything monogrammed so I don’t have to ever worry about her taking my things. I think this is the first time this year that I have worn shorts. I am not feeling particularly thin and my legs look larger than I would like but what the heck. They get me from point A to point B and I am blessed to have them. I did at least take the time to put on some R+F sunless tanner. Lol! These shorts were new and I know that because the tag was still attached. I can tell you this, they were too thin. I don’t like when the pockets show through the material. These will be going in the get rid of pile. I hate trying on clothing in the stores so I didn’t notice this until I was editing the pictures. Do yourself a favor and try things on first. Do as I say and not as I do. Lol!
My Alaska daughter is CRAZY about sharks. She loves Shark Week and treats it like a holiday. So, in honor of my daughter, I am having a “Shark Week Special.” Every new PC who signs up and purchases a full regimen will get a FREE Essentials Daily Body Moisturizer. Already a PC? Order a full regimen and receive a Mineral Peptides Powder from me. My website is www.tstephens5.myrandf.com

Hey Sweetie I’m just happy those ferns made it thru the summer! And your outfit is so adorable! The top is too cute and the white shorts show off your tan. I love the jewelry too and those monogram sandals are way cool!!
There is nothing so deafening as a forest of katydids, nor aything that will make me do the ” heeby- jeeby dance” faster than one lighting on me!
I Love your Style!! It is much like mine!! Enjoy looking at your Fashion sight and reading your Blog!! Have an Awesome weekend!! Thanks for all you do!!
Tania, I love your posts but for some reason it won’t let me subscribe! So, then I get on Pinterest and search for you! Anyway, thank you for showing colors and I really enjoy reading your posts.
You look great, as always. Love the off the shoulder look…my wedding dress was slightly off shoulder & I felt gorgeous & sexy. But in every day life, I just got brave enough for the cold shoulder look. I don’t know where I’d wear an off shoulder top! Love to hear from you every day. I look for you first. By the way…love my lash boost!
Jeannie, I know how you feel. It does take a little courage the first time you wear these looks. The funny thing is that nobody else thinks anything about seeing you wearing them, it is all between your ears. We get in our own head and hold ourselves back.
Love wearing pretty tunics with shorts! This is so pretty on you Tania! Still can’t find the perfect strapless bra, so I guess I will stick with the cold shoulder look…lol…I think you need to do more short outfits posts! ?
Hi. I really enjoy following your blog. It gives me incentive to venture out and be a little more playful with my wardrobe. Your flowery blouse is so pretty but I hesitate to wear anything like that as I am only 5’2. What’s your opinion on this? So hard to work in clothes that are appropriate for a 64 year old, a petite, and something that works for SO CALIF lifestyle. Thanks!
I love this outfit girl! So flattering and saucy! And how sweet for you to mention the ferns again. They are thriving! That is one fun necklace! And I love the sandals. I just found bling tennis shoes w a monogram. I’ll fb them to you!
You look wonderful in this outfit! Love the style of the top and your jewelry selections. Pearls are awesome and my go-to! Your confidence and style make you shine and continue to be my inspiration!
I’m new to your blog, but I read your “About” page, and I instantly liked you. This outfit is gorgeous, and I’ll definitely be pinning it. Thanks for your positive thoughts and I look forward to reading more from you. 🙂
I absolutely love everything about this outfit and you look great in it! Showing how to dress up a pair of white shorts, so cute! I with you on the too thin material for shorts, white is hard color to wear! Again, you look amazing! Happy Friday!
You look beautiful in your outfit. I wish that top was still available…it’s gorgeous. I never find anything I like until I see someone else wearing something and then it’s sold out!
The first thing I said to myself when I saw these pics is “Wow, her legs look great!” You should definitely wear more shorts. And your jewelry is spot on!
I’m really bad about trying things on at the store too. Takes too long and messes uo my hair. LOL!!
I got a pair of leggings after seeing some posts that you did. They turnef my nails blue. lol. So I’ll wash them and see if it happens again if so they will have to go to the get rid of box too.
Thank you for wearing shorts!! My legs are genetically HUGE, which keeps me from wearing shorts and dresses. My mom told me many years ago to be thankful that they work, and that I am!
Your legs look marvelous Tania!! I do believe we should embrace our physical bodies since it’s the only one we get! I used to hate my pale skin, but now….I’m embracing it!!
XOXO

Love anything floral, especially blue and pink. Are katydids the same as cicadas? They are quite noisy, too!
Funny about Lafayette; my family lives in Summerville!
Sheryl, I actually looked that up last night but I have already forgotten the answer. Lol! I am thinking they are different. We only stayed in Lafayette a short time while Joe was an engineer at Roper.

Christina, I don’t think the height would matter. That is 4 inches, not a big deal. I would try it and if you like it then wear it.
Love this floral top ! I do the same thing, buying without trying on first . Perfect summer outfit ?

Mireille, congratulations on the baby! It is wonderful that you are wearing shorts, it is way too hot to be uncomfortable.
Hahaha, awfull!
Love your floral prints!
I can’t believe you lived in Lafayette! My home town is Trion, so I know very well the nights sounds you and Joe heard at night. Love the floral top.
Jerrie, it was crazy loud. We could hear them with the windows rolled up and the radio on. Lol!
Love anything floral, especially blue and pink. Are katydids the same as cicadas? They are quite noisy, too!
Funny about Lafayette; my family lives in Summerville!
Coincidentally, I am from Trion! Small world!
