50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYWhat a wonderful weekend it was in the Stephens household. Little Beckham Reece finally got to come home on Saturday night and big sister Emersyn was so taken with him. Everyone had been worried that she would be jealous since she had been an only child for 4 years but she hasn’t seemed to be so far. Every time he whimpers she goes running to him.50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYI love the new swings they have these days. You just plug them up and they will swing for hours, play music, and even light up. Plus, it is so easy to lay them down and pick them back up. I remember the swings they had when my children were younger and they were not nearly so nice. Do you remember having to crank them up to keep them going? The noise from the crank was enough to wake them up. Then, if they were asleep and you had to try to get them out of the swing it was comical. Their legs would always get caught in the openings of the swing and inevitably wake them up. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYBecause I knew that I would be running with Emersyn, down on the floor, coloring, doing our nails, etc., I decided to wear something comfortable and something that I didn’t worry about getting dirty. This top is really old, I bought it my first trip to Alaska which had to be at least 5 or more years ago. I love this top because it is so soft and almost threadbare. When I travel this top will usually be something I grab. I think the colors are what attracted me to the top but I am a huge fan of the fringe hem.50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYI knew that I would be playing with Emersyn and holding the new baby so I didn’t put on any jewelry except this pair of Antique Gold earrings. This is an example of a running around the house look and if I had decided to go to the store or take Emersyn to the movies then I would have added a necklace and some bracelets. Adding jewelry would have made the outfit more “put together.”50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYThe yellow pants are from GAP and they are a couple years old. They have been worn and washed so much that the hem is almost frayed. Yellow can be worn with so many other colors that I find myself wearing these a lot. Some of my favorite combinations to wear with yellow are navy, pinks, grays, and turquoise. 50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYEmersyn wanted to show me how to “pose.” She would tell me how to place my foot and where to put my hand. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYEven Beckley wanted to get in on the action. I told Emersyn that she needed to leave her cookies in the house but she wouldn’t hear of that. 50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYFinally, she kicked me out of the pictures. “I want to take pictures by myself.” Here she was blowing me kisses. Yes, she has me wrapped around her little finger. I am really looking forward to this coming weekend. You will hear more about that later but Ashleigh is coming home, my grandfather is turning 100, and we are also in the path of the full eclipse. This will make two weekends in a row that have been pretty unforgettable!50 IS NOT OLD | AN OUTFIT MEANT FOR PLAYI have several of you on my “wait list” for the sold out Lash Boost. 1. Love the top and pants! The top has all of my favorite colors for spring. Love how you and Emersyn match so well she’s a little doll!

Emersen is a true babydoll. Just precious. She reminds me of my grandchild Avery who is seven at that age. I can tell she loves you very much. She will be a second moma to Beckham. I want the lash boost ordered so if you want to privately email me your address I will send you a check. Thank you for doing this for me. A great way to try and for some reason lashes are thinning. It couldn’t be age. 61 years young! Lol

    1. Connie, she really is a little mommy. I heard her telling him not to worry that mommy was there. Lol! I will message you about lash boost once it becomes available again. I expect it any day now.

  4. I love it when you and Emersyn model together and usually match. These are precious moments thank you for sharing.

  5. OMG you made me laugh and I even read the part of your post where you talked about the old baby swings to my husband. My son is 35 and we had one for him. That crank was the worst and of course he’d be asleep and you’d wind it and then he’d wake up crying and when you went to get him out his legs would stick and the whole swing would come forward, I don’t know how they ever passed safety checks! Your outfit is perfect for your day with your grand babies.

Oh what a walk down memory lane w that bit about the swing! I hated that crank sound and my poor daughter was always waking up when I tried to get her out! But that outfit doesnt look like play to me – its very coordinated and cute. Especially w your adorable matching sidekick!

  6. Your granddaughter is precious and a hoot. She definitely takes after you. I love your outfit today. It’s stylish and comfy-that’s always a great combination.
