What a LONG day I had yesterday. We set the alarm for 5:00 am so that we could hit the road to start our journey by 6:00 am. How many of you know what happened next? If you said that we overslept you would be wrong. Lol! Instead, the opposite happened and our eyes flew open at 4:15 am ready to start the day. We managed to get dressed, eat, and load the car all by the time 6:00 rolled around which has to be a first for us. Haha! Joe drove for the first hour and a half before he decided that it was my turn. Translation: he was sleepy. Lol! He laid the seat back and nodded off for a good nap. Just after he closed his eyes I just happened to drift over to the edge of the road and hit that strip that is intended to wake you up. It could have been an accident, I am not saying for sure. Lol!!! I actually wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago because I was chilly and I wanted a sweater. This is exactly the same type outfits that you will see me wearing for the next week while I am visiting my daughter. Most of the outfits will have a sweater or jacket over the top of a sleeveless top so if you are in a hot spot of the country just think about deleting that item. The overall look will probably be the same. I bought the sleeveless mustard colored LOGO top and the long cardigan by Lisa Rinna at the overstock store in town. I loved how they looked together and even though they are classic fall colors I still wanted to wear them in the summer. I had previously bought the blue one (here) and I loved it way more than I thought I would. When I saw this bronze one I grabbed it. I will get a lot of wear from this once fall rolls back around. I wanted to show you how to make the look a little more summery. It is funny that just by rolling up the hem of the jeans to make a cuff changed completely. See what showing a little ankle does? Lol! The distressed jeans are a pair that I bought last year at Cato’s. They no longer exist on that website but you can find distressed jeans almost anywhere. I know a lot of you are not fans and that is alright, we all like different things. I love the jeans because to me they say, casual, laid back, youthful, and stylish. To others, they say that you can’t afford better. When I was growing up the only people who wore holes in their pants worked hard for a living or were economically disadvantaged. Nowadays you pay extra for those holes. Lol!
