NO NEED TO SHAVE THE LEGS
I can’t believe that after we just got back from Alaska that my daughter has decided to come in for a visit in a few weeks. I hadn’t seen her since last summer and I figured that we wouldn’t get to see her again until Christmas if we even got to then. So, I was a little surprised when I got a snapchat today of an airline ticket for her later in the month.
There are a couple of reasons that she has decided to grace us with her presence. A huge one is that my grandfather will be turning 100 and we are going to Livingston for the celebration. Secondly, she looked at the projected path of the upcoming solar eclipse and found out that Overton County is in the path of a full eclipse. She was pretty excited about that and since we had planned on being there any way it would appear to be perfect timing. My sister is already starting to make fun of my brother in law who says he is making some sort of contraption that sounds like he will be wearing a box on head. I can’t wait to share those photos on the blog. Lol!
This is the first time that I have worn this top. I bought it at Cato back about a month ago because I was needing a dressier navy top. I liked the mock neck and the cutout which made it kind of unique. This top is on the slinky side so I was a little worried about it clinging to the wrong places (aka fat rolls) but it hung nicely. Lol! You can’t see the straps very well because of the scarf but they are nice and thick so I was able to wear my normal type bra.
Now for the accessories. My scarf reminds me of frayed denim, especially with the white looking fringe attached. I thought the solid navy and the solid white were just too plain. I didn’t want to add a necklace because of the way that the neckline was made so a scarf seemed like the perfect option. I could have worn something with more colors but I like the monochromatic look.
WHY? Do you know how many times I get asked that? Why did you start a blog? Why do you promote Rodan + Fields? Why is it any better than what I am currently using? Why is the business a smart decision? My why is simple……why not?
I had thought about a blog for over a year before I started it. I watched my friend post on Facebook for months before I ordered my first product. I never told any of you what I was doing until I started getting comments. Now I look back at all those decisions and ask myself, WHY NOT? Why did I wait? Fear is probably the best answer. I was afraid that people would laugh when they found out I started a blog. I was afraid that the products wouldn’t work and that I wouldn’t use them. I was afraid that I would be wasting my money.
INSTEAD, all those fears held me back. Fear is not real, fear is only between our ears. I was in no danger so the fear was simply a choice. Today I can see that the choice to start a blog I can was a good one. There might be people who laugh at me but I am alright with that. I am loving all of my new found friends all over the entire world which is something that I could never have imagined would happen. Today I can see that the decision to use Rodan + Fields products was a great one. My skin has never looked better, softer, or smoother. And don’t even get me started on my eye lashes. Lol! Today I am so thankful for the decision to join in a business that has already given me back so much. I have made lots of new friends, I have won lots of great presents, and I am making more money than I ever dreamed I would.

You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!

Gorgeous outfit! Love how the different shades of blues compliment each other. And I love a long skirt. Looks very rich.
Tania, the title of this post cracked me up! Maybe that’s why I like pants and long skirts too! lol I am certainly glad you started your blog to not only show us cute fashion ideas, but to also give us opportunities like R+F to make our lives and our looks better. Thank so much for not giving in to fear!
I figured some of you would get a kick out of the title. Lol!!! I am thrilled that you are on the R+F journey with me. It really makes me feel good when I hear that everyone is loving their products.

Funny you should mention that, Wendi. My DIL just took a large amount of clothing to her house to do just that. Lol! I’ll post when she gets a page all setup. I didn’t have the patience to do one. Lol!
Hi
I was brought up wearing dresses to church as well.
I’m 53 and I still wear dresses with panty hose to church.
Guess I’m just old fashioned huh?
I ditched the panty hose but I will always wear dresses. I know my grandmother wore them until she wasn’t physically able to attend church any longer and I see myself doing the same thing. Lol!
