NO NEED TO SHAVE THE LEGS
I can’t believe that after we just got back from Alaska that my daughter has decided to come in for a visit in a few weeks. I hadn’t seen her since last summer and I figured that we wouldn’t get to see her again until Christmas if we even got to then. So, I was a little surprised when I got a snapchat today of an airline ticket for her later in the month.
There are a couple of reasons that she has decided to grace us with her presence. A huge one is that my grandfather will be turning 100 and we are going to Livingston for the celebration. Secondly, she looked at the projected path of the upcoming solar eclipse and found out that Overton County is in the path of a full eclipse. She was pretty excited about that and since we had planned on being there any way it would appear to be perfect timing. My sister is already starting to make fun of my brother in law who says he is making some sort of contraption that sounds like he will be wearing a box on head. I can’t wait to share those photos on the blog. Lol!
This is the first time that I have worn this top. I bought it at Cato back about a month ago because I was needing a dressier navy top. I liked the mock neck and the cutout which made it kind of unique. This top is on the slinky side so I was a little worried about it clinging to the wrong places (aka fat rolls) but it hung nicely. Lol! You can’t see the straps very well because of the scarf but they are nice and thick so I was able to wear my normal type bra.
I went very light on the jewelry. I have on the Emery earrings which have a bright blue teardrop stone, two navy stones, and one that is more toward the sage green side. These are really striking stud earrings and they have 1.5″ drop. I don’t think I have ever worn this pair before, mainly because I choose longer earrings that dangle. With the length of my hair, a shorter pair doesn’t show up near as well.
The only other piece of Plunder jewelry I have on is the denim and rhinestone magnetic bracelet named the Ritta. This one I have worn several times because it goes with so much. The other bracelets I have on are by Alex and Ani. I love these inspirational bracelets and I recently added a gold monogrammed one.
This is what I wore to church on Sunday. I always wore a dress to church when I was younger and I am not going to break that tradition now. This is a simple white maxi skirt which is perfect for the spring and summer months. You can literally wear this with almost anything, AND you never have to worry about you legs being shaved. LOL!!!
I had thought about a blog for over a year before I started it. I watched my friend post on Facebook for months before I ordered my first product. I never told any of you what I was doing until I started getting comments. Now I look back at all those decisions and ask myself, WHY NOT? Why did I wait? Fear is probably the best answer. I was afraid that people would laugh when they found out I started a blog. I was afraid that the products wouldn’t work and that I wouldn’t use them. I was afraid that I would be wasting my money.
INSTEAD, all those fears held me back. Fear is not real, fear is only between our ears. I was in no danger so the fear was simply a choice. Today I can see that the choice to start a blog I can was a good one. There might be people who laugh at me but I am alright with that. I am loving all of my new found friends all over the entire world which is something that I could never have imagined would happen. Today I can see that the decision to use Rodan + Fields products was a great one. My skin has never looked better, softer, or smoother. And don’t even get me started on my eye lashes. Lol! Today I am so thankful for the decision to join in a business that has already given me back so much. I have made lots of new friends, I have won lots of great presents, and I am making more money than I ever dreamed I would.
Join me on a ZOOM call tonight and see if Rodan + Fields is right for you. Download the free ZOOM app and hit Join A Meeting with the number 736 578 7052. You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.

Hi Tania,
I found you on Pinterest today after I typed in “over 50 fashions.” I am very impressed with your blog and plan to be a regular follower from now on! You and I have a similar body type and personality! Are you a Leo by chance? LOl!!
I have to shop for an outfit tomorrow for a couple of birthday celebrations this weekend (my own) and got some good ideas from you as to where to start!
So until next time, thank you and keep up the great work!
Sincerely, your new follower,
Heidi
Heidi, I am so glad that you found my blog. Pinterest is a site that I could spend HOURS on. Lol! BTW, I am a Taurus! ?
Your blog title cracked me up today! Love the outfit!
I would be interested in trying the lash “stuff”. Would you be able to ship to California and how much would it be?
Treycee, thanks for following my blog. Yes, they will ship to California BUT Lash Boost has been so popular that they were taken by surprise at a number of sales and are temporarily sold out. I will be sure and post as soon as it becomes available again, I know they said ASAP. As far as the cost goes, I’ll email you the 3 different price ranges.
Hi, Tania! I read your blog every evening. I first saw you on Pinterest a couple of months ago. You’re adorable and such an inspiration to me AND so many others! Thank you! Do you sell Rodan and Fields eyelash serum?
Your lashes are gorgeous! ps Congratulations to your Grandpa on his 100th Birthday! Goodnight!
Hi, Ann. I get a lot of traffic from Pinterest. Thanks for checking me out. Yes, I sell the R+F lash boost BUT it has been so popular that they were taken by surprise at a number of sales and are temporarily sold out. I will be sure and post as soon as it becomes available again, I know they said ASAP.
Thank you, Miss Tania! I appreciate your help! Hope you have a wonderful day!
I got a kick out of the ‘shaving legs’ statement. Yesterday I shaved mine for the first time in 3 weeks. It wasn’t because I was too sorry and lazy to do it. I had that dreadful poison ivy rash on both legs from my ankles to upper thighs. The itching was horrible! From now on I will be wearing long britches when I work outside! BTW, the navy and white is gorgeous and so classic. We will be going to visit my mother in law next month in North Georgia. The town where she lives is in the path for the total solar eclipse. I am really excited about it. Have a great day and happy birthday to your grandfather.
Poison ivy can do a real number on you. Yuck! I got it on my face one time and it was awful.
Gorgeous outfit! Love how the different shades of blues compliment each other. And I love a long skirt. Looks very rich.
Tania, the title of this post cracked me up! Maybe that’s why I like pants and long skirts too! lol I am certainly glad you started your blog to not only show us cute fashion ideas, but to also give us opportunities like R+F to make our lives and our looks better. Thank so much for not giving in to fear!
I figured some of you would get a kick out of the title. Lol!!! I am thrilled that you are on the R+F journey with me. It really makes me feel good when I hear that everyone is loving their products.
Love the outfit. Enjoy the blog!!
LOVE this look. The white skirt looks so fresh and clean and has a great contrast with the darker top and scarf. I will definitely try this look!
yes, Kathleen, this would very easy to duplicate!
Love this outfit. Colors are beautiful!
Tania, you didn’t “win” your incentives you “earned” them!
I love how you keep it real. I love reading your blog because you add your personal stories and bring a smile to my face. You are a beautiful woman. Enjoy your day.
Beautiful outfit ! I love the navy top and scarf gives it a special touch. Thanks for being such s down to earth person Tania? Have a great day !
I would love to see your closet(s)! If you ever want to have an on line garage sale let me know. I’ll be the first one to show up!?
Funny you should mention that, Wendi. My DIL just took a large amount of clothing to her house to do just that. Lol! I’ll post when she gets a page all setup. I didn’t have the patience to do one. Lol!
Hi
I was brought up wearing dresses to church as well.
I’m 53 and I still wear dresses with panty hose to church.
Guess I’m just old fashioned huh?
I ditched the panty hose but I will always wear dresses. I know my grandmother wore them until she wasn’t physically able to attend church any longer and I see myself doing the same thing. Lol!
I love this outfit !!! Your face continues to look even more fabulous! Will be receiving my first Reverse Brightening Regimen from Rodan and Fields soon! Can’t wait to start using it!
Angie, Reverse is still my favorite because it really makes your face glow.
I love the outfit.
Love this outfit. I am short but I think I could pull this off easily. I just returned from a two week stay in Alaska and absolutely will go back. Your blog on fear, I faced mine many times and glad that I missed nothing. Hiking, white water rafting, this 62 year old made it. Your blog was always in the back of my mind. On to the next adventure. Keep up your inspiration to all of us.
Love the purse. Did I miss where you talked about the purse?
Crystal, no I didn’t mention the purse. It was just one I picked up at some little boutique. It is not a name brand, I just like the bright color.
I feel the same way every time I put on my maxi…of course now that I’m older the hair is sparser–ha ha!! At least one advantage of getting older!!
XOXO

Looking great! You have the personality for sales! Great that your daughter is coming home! She is beautiful! I enjoyed your Alaska photos and envy the view from her apartment. One of my favorite things is seeing cruise ships come in and out of port. Loved that in Key West. I admire your confidence and style. Rhonda
Rhonda, that is funny because I am very shy when it comes to meeting people in person. Lol! I couldn’t ever mention that I sell anything to their face. Lol!
Lovely outfit – must be the day for maxi skirts – am also showing one on the blog today 😉

Great outfit! Where did you find your fabulous handbag?
Aly, it was from a little boutique in town. Not a name brand but I liked the color.
Oh, you sound like a vriend of mine! She doesn t shave in winter!!!!!! Why not! Exactly! Haha, her husband must be thinking she always wears socks in bed????? Hoe nice that you will see your daughter earlier then you thought!
Well, I am not quite that bad. Lol!
Wow! Stunning!
