50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETIt was a really really long trip back to Virginia. Traffic was HORRIBLE. I don’t think that it had anything to do with the eclipse, I think most of that traffic was the day before. However, there was a lot of road construction that was spread out the entire trip home. Joe was not a happy camper. He kept fussing the entire trip and saying something about he knew we should have flown. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETAfter we had fought the traffic for hours when we got about an hour and a half away it really came to a stand still. Joe decided to go a different way which is longer but he figured with the traffic being backed up that it would still work out for the better. NOPE, that was a mistake. lol! Everyone else must have thought the same thing because that back road was jam packed. The school buses and all the red lights that are on the back road just made it ridiculous. It got to be to the point that it was comical. Especially when we came to an area where you could see the Interstate and you could see that traffic was flowing pretty good over there. It was just one of those days where we couldn’t pick the right lane if we had to. We stopped at Target for just a few minutes to buy some coffee and the checkout lane we picked had to end up having a manager called over to it. As we came into town I saw that the lottery is up to 700 million dollars but I didn’t think we needed to bother buying a ticket today. Lol!!!50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETI took these pictures before I left town last week. It is really hard to take pictures when you are on the road. I am so used to being able to use my tripod and my camera and not having depend on anyone else to take my pictures that I am spoiled. I don’t like saying, “I need 10 pictures of my entire outfit and 10 pictures from the waist up.” Instead, I will just let them take 4 or 5 total and try to make do with those. It does not usually turn out that good. The first thing I see when I look at these pictures is the scarf. It is center stage and really ties everything in the outfit together. This is one that I bought at Express, and I know that because the tag was still attached. None of the scarves that I have linked to below are over 18.00.

50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETI didn’t wear a necklace but I did add several bracelets. I love stacking my bracelets, it makes a huge impact. You can’t go wrong when you are stacking, just keep adding until you think you have enough. I have the Gail bracelet on that is the one to the far left. It says HOPE on it. The Celine is in the middle and once again my monogram is turned backward. Lol! I can’t ever seem to take a good picture with that bracelet. Haha! The last one on that arm is the Amanda. I bought this bracelet back last year and it was in the silver tone but now it is only available in gold tone. If you can see the navy and rhinestone bracelet on my other hand it is the Ritta. It has become one of my go to bracelets because of the color and the fact that it is magnetic and easy to get on and off. If you want to place an order just go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and pick a party with my name in it.50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETI guess you recognize my shoes. These are c/o Nina Shoes and I just keep finding things to wear with them. I love the espadrille heel but it is the playful bandana design that I really like. Maybe it is because I am from the south but these Muriel shoes just speak to me. I can dress them up or wear them casually and I like them either way. I wore them here to add a pop of color.50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETI wore this shirt dress back in June but it looked completely different than the look today. This is just an example of how you can take the items you already own in your closet and make it look like your closet is bigger than it is. I prefer this look but you might not. You will have to let me know what your thoughts are. Joe voted for this one too! Lol! This shirt dress was from Cato Fashions but you can find a shirt dress almost anywhere, this is a style that has been around for a while.

50 IS NOT OLD | NO NEED TO BUY A LOTTERY TICKETThe short sleeve cardigan is by Joan Rivers. This is a purchase from the overstock store in town. I like it because it is on the longer side without being down to my knees. Every one of you needs a navy cardigan in your closet! It doesn’t have to be long like this one but you do need a navy cardigan because it will go with so much and extend your wardrobe.
IT”S BACK!!! Lash Boost is once again available but only with a regimen/lash boost combo. The good news is that this is a GREAT deal. Let me break it down for you. I am going to use the Redefine regimen as the example. If you bought the Redefine regimen and the Lash Boost serum separately the retail cost would be 349.00. The retail cost right now with the 20% combo special is 279.00! Here is where the fun starts, the cost, if purchased as a Preferred Customer (PC), would be 251.00 and because I have a 15% off special running for purchases made as a PC until Sunday, that would mean you would get a refund check from me of 37.50. That brings your cost down to 213.50 before taxes. Of course, the shipping is always FREE for PCs. Even if you have to pay the one-time signup fee of 19.95 you are still saving a ton of money. Message me if you have any questions. I am hearing that Lash Boost won’t be available as a single product until the first week of September. To place an order you go to www.tstephens5.myrandf.com and go to the subscribe and save option to become a PC. The Lash Boost combo can be found under the Enhancements tab when you go shopping.

  3. Hi, Tania! Sorry I’m so late in the day to respond! You’re a knock-out in this outfit! Love the length of your dress, you have beautiful legs and your shoes are SO feminine!

Today, I am so excited for Crystal Smith because she’s like me! I’m not on FB, either, and was led to you by Pinterest! Crystal’s right! You’re classy and fun! You lift ALL of us, each day, with your blog and your detailed photos!

I enjoy your posts and have gotten some great ideas for fashion with what I have in my closet! I love lightweight cardigan sweaters over print tank tops, and because I get warm so easily I wear this look until I need a real coat!
Keep the ideas coming, and thanks!
    Susan

LOVE this outfit, from head to toe! Dressy without being dressed up!

  6. Great outfit, even down to the accessories, which are what pulls it all together. Love how you aren’t afraid to add some color to an otherwise plain outfit without it. I follow some other blogs of women our own age and yours by far is my favorite. Love your sense of style!

  7. I love this entire outfit Tania! The first thing that struck me, however, were the shoes…in the first couple shots they looked like “ruby red slippers” to me! Must be because I’m in Kansas 🙂 In the closeup you can definitely see the bandanna print. Cute! Glad you made it back safely…that’s the main thing. Your weekend sounded like so much fun and I enjoyed the pictures!

I am on your waiting list. Do I just go into the site and buy now?

    1. Robin Staley says:

      I only want the boost

      1. Robin, that will not be available to purchase by itself until the first week of September. I’ll let you know when it is available by itself.

Thank you, Tania for sharing your style with us. I recently found you on pinterest. (I am not on FB ). I really appreciate that you include a picture of the whole outfit, it is very helpful. I decided this summer I need to update my wardrobe to look the part of my job as the director of a health clinic at a boarding high school Lol. I also had lost significant weight so now as a size 4 I was looking at different styles for age 55 but also not wanting to look (too old lady-ish) as my kids would say, especially since I deal with high school students 🙂
Thank you for having exceptional taste and class it helps those of us challenged in that area to have a starting point. As a student myself in a graduate program I don’t have much time for shopping so your picture are a blessing to me thank you!

    1. I am so glad that you found me, Crystal. Congratulations on the weight loss!!! Wow! A size 4 is amazing, I am lucky to stay at a size 10. I am sure those high school kids keep you on your toes. Lol!!!

  10. My husband is the same way in traffic—he’ll go every which way to try to get around it, whereas I’m the just sit and wait type!!
    Love the outfit today, Tania!!
    XOXO

    1. Jodie, I am the sit and wait type too. Joe is always telling me that I am a rule follower.

  11. Love this outfit Tania! So fun to see repeated items put in new ways. Bet you’re so happy to be home!

    1. Naomi, that is what I want to show everyone to do. You don’t have to have my “exact” item. You can try to do something similar with items you already own.

  12. Great outfit! Love the shoes! Glad y’all made it home safe.

  13. Love the outfit! I love the colors! The shoes are so cute! Another example of classy and sassy! Happy you made it home safely.

    1. I am certainly glad to be home. Haha!

  14. This outfit is beautiful! Love love love it!! So glad you made it home safe and sound. What a story about the drive back..at least you can laugh!!

    1. Love the outfit, especially the cardigan. You mention an outlet store in your town, where is it located. Keep up the good work

      1. It is a small store that buys returned or overstocked items from QVC. It is called The Outlet Store and it is in Grundy, Virginia.

    2. I learned a long time ago that you can laugh or cry about situations and I prefer laughing. Lol!

  15. I love everything about this whole outfit from the way you styled the shirt dress to how the scarf pulls everything together. Those shoes are perfect!

    1. Thanks, Cathy!!! I did like the addition of the scarf.

  16. It must be amazing when you are able to fly! It is Tania!??? I am talking about Alpha_1antitrypsin deficiency this week! Hope you like to read it, it s very personal!
