Animal prints have been a staple of fashion since the 1930s! Any guesses as to why it became a mainstay? My extensive research on the internet says it became popular with the movie Tarzan the Apeman! How crazy that we’re wearing fashion based on a half-naked man swinging from the trees, lol. Thankfully, these aren’t real animal pelts. I mean, ewww. Tarzan aside, I’ve found nine great animal print tops you’re sure to love!

Everyone seemed to love the How To Wear Leopard Print Over 50 post I did last week. The only issue was that a lot of the tops I was wearing were already sold out. I decided to do a post on animal print tops that were in stock and that you could grab. This Cheetah Puff Sleeve Shirt was one of my best sellers last summer. I wore it with a black tweed double-breasted blazer, and it looked amazing.

I have this sweater in several solid colors, but this camel leopard print is calling out to me. This sweater is lightweight and perfect for layering over a button-up shirt or wearing under a blazer. Plus, as I always say, a V neckline is flattering on almost everyone. This sweater is also available in white cheetah as well as lots of colors.

There are sweatshirts, and then there are CHIC sweatshirts. This fleece crewneck sweatshirt is elevated because of the cute print and contrasting cuffs and bands. This sweatshirt is perfect for when you want to look great but be comfortable at the same time. I would probably size up because I like my sweatshirts to be oversized and roomy. This is available in over 35 different colors if the animal print isn’t your favorite, and it’s a great buy at just $25 dollars.

Animal print as an accent works great with this patchwork t-shirt. I say it a lot, but just because you are casual doesn’t mean you have to be boring. A long-sleeved t-shirt is about as basic as it gets, yet it looks like you put a bit of effort into dressing. There are over 15 different colors and styles at the link, even some short-sleeved versions if you prefer. A cute shirt for $20 dollars.

Animal prints don’t have to be literal! I love this multi-colored leopard print chiffon blouse. I’ve not seen a print like this one, and I’m loving all the different colors. The top features a dark color base with leopard in brown, wine, white, yellow, blue, etc., which opens up a lot of possibilities on how to style it. It would look great dressed up or worn casually.

I love this cozy sweater! It’s made from an “artificial mink hair material” and very, very soft. I’m not sure I’d ever leave the house in this. If they only had pants to match, I’d be set, lol. I’d pair this with a great pair of jeans and cute boots. It’s available in a total of 14 different colors and prints, and is just $35 dollars.

Nine Great Animal Print Tops You’re Sure to Love – Dressy

I’m starting with a gorgeous Leopard Print Halter Top. You can wear this alone or as a base layer under a great jacket, blazer, or cardigan. Imagine this with a pair of jeans and black booties. So chic! There are a lot of different prints you choose, and they are under $25 dollars. This one is the Multi-Animal version.

This zebra print blouse would be perfect for any event where you want to be a bit more polished but not plain. Wear it to work, a meeting, date night, or even a shopping and lunch date with the girls. I like the classic black and white, but it’s available in three others, including black and hot pink. It’s a great shirt for just $24 dollars, and it’s machine-washable!

Hello, Vince Camuto! Welcome to the animal print party. I love this faux wrap top, although I am a little confused about what animal this is supposed to be, lol. Either way, it’s a gorgeous print. I love the flared sleeves and the side tie. Wrap tops are very flattering, especially for those of us who carry a little more weight around the mid-section.

I thought I’d include at least one short-sleeve top for those of you in warmer climates or heading out on vacation. It’s hard to see in this print, but the bottom half is almost like a peplum top. The reviews say that it’s VERY flattering. If you don’t love the animal print, it’s available in over 30 other colors. The price is dependent on the size/print but for the most part, it’s under $25 dollars.

I order a leopard scarf from Walmart and a pair of leopard print skecher flats from Amazon. I’m excited to add them to outfits. is it OK to wear leopard prints of different shades together? I’m so monochromatic with colors, and I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone more lately.

    1. I occasionally mix leopard and another animal print. I try not to wear them close together, and I make one smaller like a bracelet or earrings.

  12. We didn’t get snow where I live in Texas. Just very cold. I’m so over it. It’s at least sunny today and is going to warm up. I love leopard and cheetah prints. I have plenty that I don’t need anymore. I prefer snake in belts and shoes. Basically I don’t like snakes so that’s why I don’t like to wear a lot of it.

I love the lightweight sweater in the white cheetah print. I already have a couple of camel color animal prints. I’m concerned it might be cut for a thinner body ( I’m more Dolly Parton), so I’m going to order up a size with fingers crossed. I love when you do my shopping for me! TY
