I just saw my mother this past weekend but this coming weekend I will be headed to Tennessee to see the rest of the family. There will be a huge birthday party for my three grandbabies that live there. All of their birthdays fall around the same time so a combined birthday is a wonderful idea, especially when you have out of town people who would be attending. That would be me!!!
Because Matti B is born on the 30th of October the theme of the party is always Halloween. The children are not the only ones who dress up, the grownups do also. I admit that I am not that creative when it comes to Halloween. I just don’t put too much thought into it. This is Wednesday and the party is Saturday and I still don’t know what I am going to dress up like. I have an idea but since I don’t seem to be doing anything about it I don’t know if that will happen. Do you have any simple but creative ideas for me??? 
Have you seen this somewhere before? Well, not this exact cardigan but this pattern? Look at this post and see if you think they look the same. I bought this on my trip to Charleston when we went to the outlet stores. This came from the Ann Taylor store. I could have bought and bought in that store but since the other two non-shoppers were sitting outside at a table waiting for me, I had to hurry. It wasn’t entirely my fault because the credit card machine was on the fritz. Lol! What would we ever do if the credit card system shut down? Who still carries cash???
The Isabelle necklace is GORGEOUS!!! I love the door knocker design and the huge crystal drop. This necklace is between 35″ and 38″ long. I love, love, love this necklace but I will warn you that it is a heavy necklace. I have on two crackle bead bracelets. The larger beaded one is a past Posse bracelet and the smaller one with the gold dangles is the Ashlyn bracelet that matches the Davina Necklace. For earrings, I have a simple knot design on called Attina in the burnished bronze color.
I told you in the previous post where I wore this pattern that I thought mushroom colored pants would look good with this. Wouldn’t you know that I just happened to already own a mushroom colored pair of jeans? Lol! It does pay to do a lot of shopping!!! Hahaha! This pair of jeans are from Old Navy and they are Pixie Pants. I don’t see this exact color in Old Navy at this time so I will try to find another pair similar.
The Marc Fisher lace-up sandals are named Paradox. I love the lighter color and even though these lace-up you don’t have to untie them to put them on. There is a zipper on the back to make it easier to put these on and take them off. They have a block heel and the best part is that they are on sale for under 40.00!!!

As does everyone else, I love this very classy beautiful outfit! The color Is lovely and I too love the print! Fabulous jewelry! I love The Cruella idea or The Burglar! One yr. I also went as Elvira w a Low cut long dress and long blacK wig and red lips and LOTS of eyeliner and everyone loved It.
Lovely, calm and elegant look. Yet the red polish on your finger and toe nails are like spice shaking it up.

I recognized that print immediately–love, love, love it on you! Who carries cash? I do! I mostly use my card, but I always have cash. I’m kind of a nut about it. Having to navigate several prolonged power failures in my adult life has taught me it’s important to always have some cash at hand, just in case. And especially if I am away from home. It always worries me when I hear of people pushing to do away with cash because if we don’t have electricity, we’re so helpless. So, for me, cash is king, baby!!! 🙂
I usually try to always have some cash on me too, Sandra. I know that the electricity knocks out my machines sometimes and I would hate to be without money.
Well I do have a simple quick idea for Halloween! My grown niece went as a crazy cat lady. Her hair was up in rollers, she had bedroom slippers in. Then wore a big wrap robe with all kids of stuffed animal cats hanging from it. Also carried a basket with a stuffed cat in it. Maybe Miss Emeryson may have a cat Beanie Baby or 2 you can borrow! Good luck, can’t wait to see what you ended up going as! I’m sure it will be a hoot!

Yesterday was Halloween party at the local mall’s Toddler Tuesday event that I attend with my granddaughter. One of the ladies coordinating the event wore a fitted black dress, big flowy scarf and a Cruella wig (she ordered from Amazon) from 101 Dalmatians. She looked so amazing — and it was a simple costume. I can see you pulling it off LOL
Terrie, there was a lady who attended the party one year dressed as Cruella and all of her children and husband had on white sweatsuits with polka dots for the puppies. It was soooo cute.
Great outfit! First thought was “zen”…very calming and classy to look at. Going to a Halloween party this weekend and being totally lazy about it, will dress all in black, get a black mask, some rope and a cheap plastic flashlight and go as a burglar, lol! Enjoy yours, all my son’s birthday parties were a Halloween costume also when he was little.
I thought it was a very calming outfit also, Cris. I may take your idea. Since I work in a hardware store I have access to rope and a plastic flashlight. Lol!
I have to say, as much as I love you in bold colour you look lovely in this shade too! I don’t feel I can wear paler tones as well as you do. Do you have any tips for keeping these tones from washing you out or are you just lucky with your skin tone and hair colouring that you can do both? I imagine that accessories and lipstick help.
You answered your own questions, Janet. Accessories and makeup are the two biggest factors. If I want to wear a color that isn’t the most flattering next to my face then I will add a scarf that is more my color which will then be what is next to my face.
