MAY YOUR MONDAY BE SHORT
I had a fabulous weekend and I hope you did too. My house looks like a storm just went through it and I couldn’t be happier. Lol! The mess will eventually be picked up but the memories will be here forever. Yes, you have already guessed it, I had visitor(s) this weekend. When you have grandbabies, your house might be a disaster but your heart will be full. ❤
I had a to-do list a mile long but when Emersyn came running down the hallway on Saturday all of those plans quickly got put on hold. Not only did little Miss Emersyn come over but so did little Mr. Beckham. Emersyn came over and stayed all day on Saturday and we played, and when the rain allowed, she got in the pool. Beckham came over to join his big sissy around 4:00 because Joseph and Kayla had a wedding to attend. This was his first time being away from his mama for so long but he did great. He got to get in the swimming pool for the first time and I won’t go straight to “loved” it, but he did seem to enjoy himself. Emersyn, on the other hand, is already making plans for being in the pool EVERY day this year. She is already fretting about when will we close the pool in the winter. Hahaha! I believe I have a water baby on my hands and I can see every afternoon me writing the blog alongside the pool watching little Miss Thang swim. Yes, I am a happy camper!!!
Just because it is Monday does not mean that you can’t still have fun. When you have such a cute graphic tee on you will just have to smile. My Energizer Bunny Friend found these tee-shirts while we were shopping in Nashville. She yelled at me in the store to come and check them out and said, “we have got to get these!” She was right of course and we both left the store with them in hand. We found these at Francesca’s and they had a BOGO sales going on right now. They have some really cute clothing and lots of accessories. Including this really cute eyelash clutch that I really had to have!
loved the Ciara earrings with this outfit! These earrings really are a statement! I thought since the tee-shirt had gold writing that I should wear gold earrings. These have a 3.5″ drop but the delicate design helps them to not be overwhelming. These earrings are only $10.00 so they are a great value. You can also see the Mary Ellen bracelet that I have on in the next photo. I love the gold bead tassel that hangs from it. May is my 2nd year anniversary with Plunder and I am celebrating all month long. When you make a 50.00 purchase (excluding taxes and shipping) you will receive a FREE piece of jewelry from me as a gift! Join me in the business of Plunder Design this month and I will gift you 2 pieces of jewelry. Go to plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the shop tab. Pick a party with my name on it and then have fun.
Raw hemmed jeans are all the rage this year. I am actually loving this trend but I know a lot of you don’t care for it. This is made for the more casual lifestyle. When you just want to have a tee-shirt and jeans on these jeans still make your look “fresh and trendy” instead of just bland. This pair is from Old Navy and I bought them very early in the year. I don’t see this exact pair but this pair is almost identical.
You might already know that I am currently loving my gold basketweave mule slides by Sam Edelman. These have a lightly cushioned padding in the footbed so they are comfortable. I bought these with some of my 1000.00 shopping spree from Norstrom that I earned from Rodan + Fields and I wore them shopping when I went to Nashville (see here) the other day. The slides are very popular this year and you will find them in all kind of prints and colors. I have on my Maui Jim Canna 54mm sunglasses that I bought in San Diego last year. These have 100% UV protection and are still very stylish. These come in several colors but I am wearing the tortoiseshell blue/bronze version.
I really appreciate all of the shares and the pins of my outfits that you have been doing. PLEASE continue to do that, you won’t believe the difference it has made in my number of visitors to my blog.

I know what you mean about having the grandkids over. My house gets messy, but it is so worth it. Just last year we had 4 new grandbabies. Seven all together, a 5 year old, two 3 year olds, two 1 year olds and twin 5 month olds. My heart and hands are full. I love reading your blog every day and love your style.
Messy house but a full heart. Yep, I’ll take that!
I’m laughing so hard….I’ve called my daughter “Miss Thang” for years! LOVE, love. love those slides. I’ll have to check them out at Nordstrom’s.
I knew we were a lot alike, Brandye!
OMG, you look adorable!! Have a great week and Happy Anniversary!!
Cute, cute, cute!
lookin’ good, Lady!
Cute causal outfit, I think the raw edged jeans are growing on me. Also, your hair looks amazing. Enjoy those grandbabies, they grow up so fast.
Awww, thanks, Stephanie. I have an appointment to get it trimmed on Wednesday. It is getting really long.
Lol, now this is a graphic T I would wear!!! Love it!!!❤️?
so cute and fun, have a great day!
You look adorable! Now you do know, I just might have to have that tee and clutch! Lol! Such a fun look!
Aren’t they adorable, Susanne?
Love the shoes. They are very popular here in the UK. I have tried a few pairs but find them difficult to walk in. How do you find them?
I was actually worried about how I would walk in them but they have been great so far.
I bought a pair of gold slides from Fitflop and they are super comfy. The were pricey but worth it!
Cute outfit, I’m liking those shoes more and more every time I see them, too. I just need every day of this coming week to be long and not short, including Monday. Having a gather of 75 people on Memorial Day, next week, and I need every second of every day this week to count. (Cooking, cleaning, decorating, gardening, …makeing the home place shine!)
My goodness, Diana, you made me tired just reading all of your to-do list. Lol! It sounds like a wonderful time!
I’ve been wearing Maui Jim for years and love them. My eyes can’t survive the sun without them. They last and last!!! I also have the gold SE slides and love them. Love the frayed hem jeans too! I’m way past 50 now, but I refuse to dress like it. Love you and your great sense of style and humor. I spend way too much on me now, but heck, I deserve it. My kids are grown and gone and they always had to be taken care of first. Now it’s my turn….I have a 26 year old grandson, an 18 year old grand daughter that is graduating from high school this week and a just turned 4 little grand daughter. They all keep me feeling young…they want nanna to be stylish. That’s my excuse anyway!
Kathie, I love that you spent so much time, energy, and money on your family and now it is time for you. That seems to be the way us women work except that some women NEVER put themselves first. It is not selfish, it is just our turn.
