I’m going to be doing a deep dive into some different brands of shoes over the next few weeks. Whether you’re a runner, walker, or hiker, HOKA is a great shoe to try. I love that their website says, “Everything we do is rooted in optimism.” If you’ve worn them before, you know they are SUPER comfortable and light. Looking for the best Hokas? Here’s your list! Happy shopping.

Do you remember the Lays potato chip commercial, “You can never eat just one?” That is how I feel about Hokas. You can never own just one!

Looking For The Best Hokas? Here’s Your List! – Recovery Slides

My first introduction to Hokas was with recovery slides. I had developed Plantar Fascitis, and my daughter recommended I try them. I wear them as house slippers, and I no longer am bothered by Plantas Fascitis. Hoka just came out with the Ora Recovery Shoe 2 that I can wear to the store, etc. I bought the black and white pair for me, and a pair for Joe too.

Look at these beauties! I love the bright colors, but they are also available in other solids. From the description: “Eliminating weight while adding 3mm in stack height, the new Clifton 9 delivers a revitalized underfoot experience with a responsive new foam and improved outsole design.” All I know is that it’s light, cushy, and great for running or walking. Weight: 7.30 ounces.

Looking For The Best Hokas? Here’s Your List! – Running/Walking

For the purist who just can’t see themselves in anything other than a white sneaker, this HOKA is for you. Granted, it does come in brighter colors, but this is a great look. This shoe is described as meeting at the intersection of lifestyle and performance. I love that intersection! Additionally, it’s called “commuter friendly.” Pretty sure that’s sneaker speak for “great for walking.” Weight: 9.10 ounces.

This is very similar to the Transport Shoe in the fact that it’s good for walking and running. I guess there are a lot of sneakers in that intersection! I like that this sneaker looks like something a professional runner would wear. Sure, I may only be “running” errands, but I still want to look like I could bust a 5K at any moment. Weight: 11.30 ounces.

This shoe is called the Gaviota 5. Rundown. The description says that this is for running OR walking. I think I’ll go with #2, lol. The Gaviota has been around for a while but has been refined with a wider, more accommodating fit, stabilizing H-Frame™, and the softest foams. A sneaker that touts stabilizing technology? Sign me up! Plus, I love these colors. Weight: 9.10 ounces.

Looking For The Best Hokas? Here’s Your List! – Hiking

Where are my hiking Gurls? This HOKA is for you! This Gore-Tex bootie has a higher shaft, so you don’t have to worry as much about twisting an ankle. Plus, it’s covered in water-repellant materials, making it great for rainy weather. This shoe is definitely made for the outdoors. No reason you can’t look great while huffing and puffing down a trail! Weight: 12.70 ounces.

Looking For The Best Hokas? Here’s Your List! – Trail

I’m sorry, but I’m always going to love a shoe named Speedgoat. I’m guessing the person who named it was thinking that a trail running shoe should combine speed with the sure-footedness of a mountain goat, but I’m just thinking that as an “old goat”, maybe it will help me get off the trail faster! I RARELY run, but when I do, I prefer to be off-road. It’s easier on the knees. No matter what you think of the name, this is a gorgeous shoe! Weight: 9.60 ounces.

Looking For The Best Hokas? Here’s Your List! – Running/Training

Where are my runners? My racers? I tease because I don’t do much more than a fast walk, but I have a friend the same age, and she does several races each year. Some small but also marathons! This gorgeous shoe has a lower profile so that you can push off for quick starts. This is a very lightweight shoe at just 6.8 ounces!

I love sneaker manufacturers. Can you imagine how hard it is to describe shoes accurately? This one, for instance, has a “lovely foam”. What is lively about it?! Ahh, don’t worry trying to figure it out. That’s why I’m here. It means that it’s a “lively, responsive experience.” That clears things up! Honestly, it’s a very light, comfortable shoe, with a wide base for increased stability. I like the look of this color, but there are others if you want something different. Weight: 8.40 ounces.

LOVE. This pink and black combo is a winner! Officially billed as a shoe for running or training, it’s stylish any way you want to wear it. It also has an extended heel tab for pulling the shoe on and off. It’s a VERY light 6.7 ounces!
