LIVING IN A SMALL TOWN
Joe and I are attached at the hip. We do a lot of things together, even colonoscopies. Lol! Yep, he had his done on Friday. I was afraid his prep and procedure would be equivalent to a “man cold.” You gurls know exactly what I mean, we somehow managed to still do our normal routines when we have a cold but our men “can” turn into a 4-year old when they are sick. Hahaha!
I was SHOCKED at how well he did. He didn’t complain, didn’t fuss, and didn’t whine. WHAT! Did the aliens come to town and replace my husband with a Stepford Husband? In all honesty, we both have no complaints. Doctor J N is top notch and our local hospital is great. We have used them for several surgical procedures including when I had my gallbladder removed several years ago. The reason I mention this is because when you live in a small town it is rare to have such great medical personnel and facilities. I do believe in supporting your local establishments when possible.
I know you all have the snow leopard print cardigan on your radar. This is a nice sweater that I got from Cato Fashions. When I wore this last week I was confused when one of the girls at work wanted to know if it was a vest or a sweater. I must have looked confused so she came over and pulled at the sleeve and then said, “Okay, it is all one piece.”That is when I noticed that the sleeves were a different color than the rest of the cardigan. I hadn’t even noticed before because I was so focused on the pattern. It was just coincidence that I wore a black t-shirt beneath the cardigan. Lol! This cardigan is already gone from Cato’s website so I have searched for other alternatives for you.
The Nika earrings are as big and bold as the cardigan. I do sometimes wear small dainty stud earrings but I also believe in wearing big and bold. I don’t want to ONLY do one or the other. I admit that this pair is not for the faint of heart but they are so light that you can’t even feel them while you are wearing them. I love that!!! Plus, these will draw people’s eyes to your pretty face and that is a good thing. I am also wearing the Wanda elastic bracelet today. The little silver dangles move but they don’t make noise, I have had people ask me that before so I wanted to let you know. The Colleen necklace is a great necklace to give as a present. It is personalized and anything monogrammed or initialized is really popular. That way the recipient knows that the gift was for them and not something you re-gifted. Lol!!!
Every time I wear these bootcut Vigoss jeans you gurls seem to love them. I don’t know if it is the bootcut leg, the darker color of the denim, or the bright white stitching that stands out so nice that you like. If you are like me, then it is a combination of all three of those things. I noticed that Maurice’s is having a buy one get one for 50% off sale on Vigoss so be sure to check it out. All of the jeans that I am linking to are from Maurice’s.
Now, let’s talk about these shoes. These are Chanel. Yes, they are really a Chanel pair of shoes. I know that most of you are thinking, “wait a minute, you are all about looking the best you can for the best price possible.” Chanel is EXPENSIVE!!! In my defense, this was the best possible price that I could get, they were FREE! Lol! I got these by default because they were a present to a friend of my sisters. She couldn’t wear them so she gave them to my sister who couldn’t wear them either. Thankfully, neither one of them bothered to check eBay or I would not have gotten these. Lol!

My favorite Christmas memory is traveling to my grandparents house! I love Christmas!
The year we surprised the children next door, waking them and bringing to their attention that Santa could be seen walking up the street to their house….. A family friend played Santa. It was still dark outside and gently snowing.
Wow this is a very popular post and I can see why! I love that you’re so fun and are a always doing contests and giveaways! That snow leopard cardigan is right up my alley and I hope our store has one. I love that style too. The jeans are very flattering! I love monogrammed jewelry and those big leather earrings are so sheik!
My fav Christmas memory is the year my Daddy gave my sister and I a beautiful palomino horse and saddle! And Also The Year He Built From Scratch A Life- Size Santa And Sleigh And 8 Reindeer From Wood For Our Yard! He was the best Daddy ever! You And Joe are so blessed to have each other (and I’m proud of him for not being whiney about the dreaded colonoscopy!)
My favorite Christmas memory would be when my grandparents came up to Alaska to celebrate Christmas with us. My dad was in the military and we never lived around our relatives and never spent many holidays with them. So getting them for Christmas was something I will never forget!
My favorite Christmas memory is the year I was five and my parents arranged for Santa to come to our house during Christmas eve day to deliver my presents early. He said that he only brought presents early for kids with the very best behavior. 😉
My favorite Christmas memory would have to be going with my dad and brother to pick out our Christmas tree. Every year we would do this. I remember one year coming home and telling mom, I was so disappointed that we had a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. It was pretty bad, but we made it work. I’ll cherish those memories forever. I’m so fortunate to still have my parents in my life. They are in their 80;s and God is blessing me tremendously with their lives. I’m so lucky. I hope you get in the Christmas spirit Tania. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. My favorite holiday.
I purchased the necklace!, thank you for letting us know the sites so we can order! Merry Christmas
I️ remember the big family together and all the special things my Mom did to make the day special. There were game and prizes, wonderful home made candies and cakes.
