50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYDid you gurls know that my mantra for the blog is, “Age Is An Attitude?” Well, it is! But for today’s post, we are going with, “Life Is Peachy!” I like this almost as much. You already know that I think color affects (was this the correct usage) our moods, but so does your attitude. What is your normal answer if someone asks you how you are? Do you reply, “I’m fine, how about you?” Or do you list your ailments and afflictions to anyone who will listen? Neither answer changes the circumstances, but one can probably change your mood. 50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYWho saw the movie, Field of Dreams? If you did, then you remember the line that was said over and over. Build it and they will come, and of course people came from all over to see the field. I don’t know if saying something over and over “actually” will change the course of action in your life, but hey, it can’t hurt. Right? Do you know that my daughter called ME a negative Nancy last night? Can you believe that, I am never negative! I guess I am going to have to start watching what I am thinking and what I am saying…… 50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYDon’t you just love this peach tunic/dress? The ivory tassels that hang all around the bottom are really, really cute. Tassels of any kind are HUGE this year!!! This top was on the clearance rack at Classy Closet, and thank goodness. This brand is called Judith March, and on the clearance rack is the only way I can afford this. Whew! Maybe I am just too cheap.

Judith March Tunic: Same | Flutter Sleeve | Snakeskin 50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHY This bracelet is one I wear often, called the Feather and Pearl from Plunder Design.50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHY
I have on the Anita necklace (long) and I have on the Allison pendant on a chain I already had. Both of these necklace’s are also from Plunder Design. This brand jewelry is probably what I would call middle of the road. It is not super nice, but it is way above items you find in stores like Old Navy and Claires, at least in my opinion. I have never had any problem with any of the items, but I do know that two ladies had issues with a couple of bracelets. Plunder replaced the items, but I just wanted to let you know. I have an August contest running with Plunder. EVERYONE who places an order from Plunder through me in the month of August, will be entered in for a $25.00 Plunder gift certificate. You can buy a bracelet, and you will be entered into the contest. To shop with me, here is the website: http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens  Try copying and pasting this in the address line, and hopefully it will work. If not, then type in my stylist number 241007 in the stylist box at checkout. I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout also. Several of you ladies have already taken me up on this offer. Good Luck! BTW, I don’t think I made it clear in my previous posts, but EVERY purchase from Plunder in the month of August gets you entered for the 25.00 gift certificate. So if you purchase something three separate times, you will be entered three times.50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYThe cream crop leggings are a pair from WalMart. (Similar) I knew I wouldn’t be able to keep them clean all summer, so I just bought a cheap pair. They have lasted pretty good, and at $5.00, I have no complaints.50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYDo you notice the change in shoes? I originally thought I would wear this pair, after all it matches the coral in the dragonfly scarf great. However, when I looked at the pictures, all I could look at were my feet. This is one of the reasons I have worn my tan Aerosoles so much, they make my legs look longer, and they don’t draw attention to my feet. If I had on a really cute pair, like these, then I would not care if you noticed my feet.50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYThe coral shoes were a pair I bought at the DSW warehouse in Atlanta back this February. Thankfully they do not hurt my feet like this pair did. My purse is an Aimee Kestenberg that I bought at the outlet store in town. It is great quality, and I will carry this a lot this coming fall. There are several colors of this purse, AND it is on CLEARANCE for over 100.00 off!
50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYThis outfit had a couple of stars. The tunic is a star, the jewelry is a star, and this scarf is a star. I loved this scarf from the minute I laid eyes on it. The colors are vibrant, but they do not glare. The dragonfly is the symbol of our GFWC Southwestern District President for this administration, so I will have to wear it to our next meeting. I just hope I am able to leave the meeting with my scarf, I am afraid the President might try to commandeer my dragonfly. Lol!

Old Navy Oversized Scarf: Similar50 IS NOT OLD | LIFE IS PEACHYBTW, I just want to take a minute to do a little motherly bragging. My son, Matthan, is being inducted into the Livingston Academy (where we both graduated high school) Football Hall of Fame this Friday night. I can’t believe it has taken them this long. He holds a crazy amount of records at the school. He made All State 1st team for the 4 years he was there, AND in a different position each year!!! So, I am going to go home to watch my baby (35 years old) receive his honor. (I hope to post pictures:)

I love, love, love this song. I sure hope Carrie shows up to sing this with him at the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam.

  1. LOVE this outfit, This Is Your Color – that peachy coral, so pretty. Love the tasseled bottom, the scarf (I used to sell vintage clothing and my shop name was Dragonfly Vintage Clothing so I also have an affinity for dragonflies) AND the way you TIED the scarf so the dragonfly is really shown – very clever 🙂

  2. Tania, you look SO young & beautiful in this outfit! I like the tan shoes best. But WHERE did you get the beautiful cream bracelet?

  3. I love how you look in this outfit. Very surprised to see how cheap the leggings were. If I can lose 20 pounds by next year, then I’ll try a pair. Hehehe.
Congratulations to your son. I know you are proud. I’m glad you can attend the ceremony and hoot and holler like you did when he was playing on the field. (I know you did. Maybe you even had a cow bell!)

  4. I have the same scarf and have never worn it. I couldn’t figure out how to make it look right……now I will have to try the “Tania” style look! My daughter, is receiving treatment for a recurring brain tumor, always gives the same answer , when asked how she is doing. “Just peachy!” Love reading your post each morning…have a blessed day!

  5. I like all of the outfits you style and have been inspired to put together outfits that are outside my comfort zone so thanks for pushing me to do that. Congrats on your son’s accomplishments. All moms want good things for their children. I agree with the other gurls who have thanked you for keeping your site real and your choices affordable. I have a friend who is a Cabi stylist and am just wondering – do you ever style any clothing from Cabi? Thanks again, Tania, for helping us gurls stay classy!

I really love this outfit and I want one just like it! I agree with one of the above posts that it’s so nice that you keep your site REAL and AFFORDABLE. I love hearing about your family. Congrats to your son on his accomplishments! it is nice to be acknowledged 😉 thanks so much for another incredible post! You look FABULOUS 🙂

  7. Such a beautiful outfit! I also love the jewelry choice with it..the look is just so soft and feminine all around. Love it and love your blog!

  8. It’s so true that how you dress can affect your mood. My hair is frizzy today and I’m wearing a T-shirt and jeans and this matches my mood. It is not even 8 am and I’m ready for this day to be over. Not my usual mood. Luckily, it’s Girl’s Night Out tonight, so I will fix my hair and change into a cute outfit and enjoy a yummy margarita with my friends. By the way, you do not look old enough to have a 35 year old son!

Really like this outfit and it looks spectacular on you – I dont normally comment on the fashion blogs that I review but I had to say I really liked this look and color and it suited you quite well. I also checked out your makeup application video and it was extremely helpful – I used some of your tips and I have to say it made a big difference. Thanks for what you do! Have a Blessed weekend.

    1. This is very sweet of you Karen. I am glad the tips worked for you. Appearing on the internet with no makeup on was no fun?

  10. I love your blog and want to sign up for daily emails.dont really see where to.

    1. There is a box to the right of the post at the top. It says sign up for emails or subscriptions. Something like that. I am on the road, so I can’t bring it up now.
