A LEOPARD BY ANOTHER COLOR
The other day Joe decided to run up to the airport and check on something. I was busy writing on the blog so I didn’t go with him. He ran into one of his buddies up there so they sat around and shot the breeze for about an hour. As he was coming off the mountain where the airport is located he saw several of the Elk that is plentiful in our area. He called me and told me to watch for him because he wanted to take me back up there.
He got home in record time and then scared me to death on the trip back up. He was in a big hurry!!! We finally got to the big field he had seen them in and there were about 8 of them right beside the road. We pulled off the road and turned off the car just to watch them. At least 4 of them, maybe more, had HUGE antlers. Two of them decided to start playing while we were watching. They were taking their antlers and smacking them together. They weren’t doing it really hard, more just like sparing. It was incredible and I am so thrilled that he wanted to come back and get me. 
This navy and black leopard print top was the only item that I decided to keep in my StitchFix box that just came. Honestly, I have not been a fan of this service. I am not sure if it was the clothes or if I just am picky. I think the real problem was that I had something similar in almost everything they sent me. Anyway, I canceled the service but now I am thinking about trying Trunk Club. Has anyone used that service? This top is by 41 Hawthorn.
The Aila earrings and the Landon necklace are GREAT together. I am not a huge fan of green but this Olive green color is so great for fall that I make an exception for it. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I would like the combination of the dangles, the green leather, and the gold chain but it does work great together. I guess I’ll just stick to blogging and leave the jewelry making to them. The Fiona bracelet adds some Boho charm and you can see the tassels match the green leather too. If one necklace is good then three is GREAT!!! The shortest one I have on is the Shanna and the middle one is the Kaylee. If you are a jewelry junky like me then you need to become a stylist. You will be able to get all the jewelry you want at cost plus if you sell to other jewelry junkies then you can make some Christmas cash. I have on a plain (boring but a staple) pair of black pixie pants from Old Navy. No, they are not near as cute as the ones I got from Purple Poppy (see here) but they are something that every woman needs in their closet. My Kate Spade purse may not be in every woman’s closet but I know you wish it was. I have really, really enjoyed my purse. It is something that I will be carrying for a while. I can see some mail sticking out the top. Lol!!! I love a “statement” purse, they are such fun to carry.

I enjoyed stitch fix, but I haven’t done it in a while. I’ve never tried the other service. I would have loved to have seen a couple pictures of the elk. AS always, I love reading your blog. it starts my day.
I also tried Stitch Fix – same as everyone else – I cancelled after a few shipments. I was under the impressions they were going to be sending pieces to build upon in your wardrobe, not just random items that didn’t go together. I can do that on my own! and for the pirce it wasn’t worth it. Love your blog – just started following. I find myself when shopping – thinking how you would put items together and was quite satisfied with a few purchases I made this week! Have to get to Old Navy and check out the “pixie” pants. Thinking of trying Trunk Club.
Oh my goodness I wish I’d been there w you to see the elk! You guys are so blessed to have that kind off best friend relationship so Joe can’t wait to show you things like that! I totally agree about Stitch Fix! I had it for a short while and never liked any of it. Can’t was it to see the stuff you get with the new Trunk service.

The Old Navy pixie pants are the best. They are super comfortable and are versatile too. I have gotten two pairs so far and love them both.
What brand are your shoes? I love the ballet look but most hit me in the wrong place on the ball of my foot. Love that yours has more coverage in that area.
These are a pair by Isaac Mizrahi. I bought them at least a year ago.
I have tried both stitch fix and trunk club. Trunk club sends more items and seems to be a higher quality product. I had better luck with them and the styling is personalized much more — you actually message back and forth with your person. Tell them what you are looking for and they find it. You also get a preview of what you are getting so if there is something you know you won’t like, it is taken out and replaced with another option. I love what they sent and am definitely going to use them again! the only problem i had was a missing necklace that they charged me for that I never got but the problem was quickly resolved. Huge fan of Nordstrom and even more so now.

I agree with your assessment of Stitch Fix. I cancelled the service too. So often they sent me things that were not on my list of shapes or colors that work for me. They go to all the trouble of asking for preferences, and then seemingly ignore the answers. Most everything had to go back. So I’ll be interested in what people have to say about Trunk Club.

Agree about Stitchfix- my sister in law got several items that I had- our profiles must have been the same? But we aren’t at all the same. I have also tried Trunk Club- you get a stylist here too but they interact more & asked more individual questions via the app. Then they send photos of 10 items & you pick what you’d like- they then will add other items if you didn’t like something . When you get the trunk, you can keep what you want- you’ve got a picture & description of each item in your app. Same kind of style fee subtracted from purchase. But they send a ship back label & pack tapes to close the trunk & in the app you can just request UPS to pick it up at your house- I loved that! Super easy to use- albeit a bit pricey for some things- it’s Nordstrom. I’d do it again- just not every month.
