Do Lash or Eyebrow Growth Serums Really Work After 50?
Somewhere around my 50s, the lashes and brows I took for granted started to thin out. Can anyone relate?! Hormones, age, even years of tweezing, it all adds up. The beauty industry swears that lash and brow serums can help, but do they really work once you’re past 50? The short answer is: yes, some can, but results vary depending on the formula and your own hair growth cycle. Here are a few of the most popular options.
As with all beauty and skincare, I suggest starting slowly. With a lash serum, wipe off the excess, and apply only a small amount. If you experience any irritation, skip a day or two and try even less the next time. It can take a few days before your lashes adapt.
Lash Boost Eyelash Enhancing Conditioning Serum
Lash Boost is the serum I have used since 2016! I’ve had people stop me in elevators to ask about my lashes, so I can tell you that it worked great for me. It’s formulated to be gentle, which makes it a good choice for mature women who want to avoid irritation.
- Conditions brittle lashes
- Gentle formula
- Lashes look fuller over time
- Great for daily use

So, do lash and brow serums work after 50? The answer is yes -with patience. Just remember, most serums take a couple of months to really show changes, so consistency is key.

😊perfect post!
😊I never thought that eyebrows and lashes could regrow. I will have to look into the items listed. Thank you for bringing these items!
Lana, lashes and brows can look fuller and thicker with certain products, but only if the hair follicle is not dead.
I have used brow serum and I think it works. I’ve been thinking about lash serum and now feel inspired to do it! Thanks for sharing
☺️ I have thinning brows but haven’t noticed a change in my eyelashes. Might try Elf product because it does both.
I have CRAZY sensitive skin and eyes. Since high school I have struggled with loss of my eyelashes (I am 61, I get just random patches that disappear not total loss.) I have used GrandeLash off and on for the past few years and it really does make a difference. It seems to help with regrowing in the bald patches and does make my lashes appear to be longer and thicker. I have found that I do have to use it every night to get the results I want. I take breaks from using it sometimes however.
