HOW TO KEEP COOL IN THE SUMMER
Summer is here finally in full force. We went through a small cool spurt last week but it looks like most of the cool weather is behind us now. I am finding that I love writing my blog while I am out sitting on my patio. I love listening to the birds chirping, I don’t mind hearing the cars driving past on the road, and I love feeling the sun beating down on me. What I don’t love is when the train decides to go past. I live within 100 foot of the railroad track so to say it is loud would be an understatement. I run into the house when that happens. Lol
We just bought a new fire pit for the patio and I am officially in love!!! I love a fire! I try to keep a fire going in the winter in the fireplace and in the summer I liked one in the firepit on the patio. The problem was that I smelled like smoke. My hair, because of it coarse nature, would grab the smoke smell and refuse to let go of it. It would take about three shampoos before the smell was gone. I ordered in a propane fire pit and had it put together last Monday. I have sat outside every night since then, even one night when I had to have a jacket on. Haha! No More Smoke Smell!!! I don’t know how long this tank of propane will last but I don’t care, I LOVE my firepit!
If you are wondering how to keep cool in the summer, this top is the answer. The off the shoulder style is cool, cute, and just a tad on the sexy side. I just bought this really cute off the shoulder top the other day at Cato Fashions. Of course, it doesn’t exist on their website any longer. I just don’t understand how fast they take things off the website since I JUST bought it. Anyway, I am a sucker for pale pink and this top jumped off the racks and into my hands. The elastic around the shoulders was really comfortable and helped the top to stay put and in place. All off the shoulder tops will move when you raise your arms but this one stayed in place reasonably well.
These are my tried and true old faithful shoes in the summer. They are by Aerosoles and I absolutely LOVE them. The have a cushioned bottom which makes them extremely comfortable plus these are a wedge heel. One of my favorite details of this pair is that the strap around the back uses velcro to close. I hate fiddling with those little latches. When you go to their site look under the “sandals” tab. I found so many I liked that I couldn’t choose.
I think Joe liked my off the shoulder top. Lol! He was doing his best Barnabas Collins impression here.
Do you know what my number one referrer page is? It is Pinterest! I truly appreciate every time you “pin” a picture. Heck, pin ALL the pictures if you want. Lol! Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling.
