50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40This is the actual outfit that I wore on Friday night when I went to my friend’s house for dinner. I wanted my outfit to be festive and also to be comfortable, and I think it was both. My friend has a “thing” about floors. What I mean is that she vacuums her floors at least seven or eight times a day. She knows that isn’t normal, but that is a relaxing mechanism for her. I would think that you were torturing me if I had to vacuum them one time a day. Lol! In case you are wondering, her vacuum of choice is the SharkNinja50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40Because we know that my friend has a thing about her floors, we took our shoes off at the door. I took me some socks to put on so that I wouldn’t be walking around barefooted but also because I know that she also likes “cooler” temperatures in her house than we do at ours. My poncho was warm and my socks kept my feet toasty. However, Joe didn’t wear a sweater and he started to get chilly. I laughed when he asked her if she was going to be ice skating in the house anytime soon. She laughed and asked him if he needed a “blankie,” and he took it gratefully. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40Since you saw the top in yesterday’s post, there is no need for me to talk about the poncho. However, I did want to mention that this would look cute with a long-sleeve tee shirt under it. The sleeves would give it some added color. If you wanted to wear a black shirt and a black pair of pants, it would look super cute. My daughter suggested wearing green with them so there are plenty of possibilities available.50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40 I changed up my jewelry to be bigger and not quite as formal. Even though the Gentry earrings are pearls, they are not formal looking. These earrings are fun and young looking. The large link Muriel cuff bracelet makes a huge statement and it is one that you can wear with any style outfit. It can be dressed up or down.50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40 This Kiana necklace is one of my favorites but I just realized that I never have it on the blog. It was one of my first purchases when the new fall line was released. But, I let someone borrow it and I didn’t get it back for a couple of months. Then, I misplaced it and I am not sure that I have ever worn it before. I love the champagne colored crystal beads and the gold chain tassels. It is a very beautiful and unusual looking necklace. To place an order just go to my website and please be sure to pick a party with my name in it so that I get credit. 50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40The Diana jeans from Kut from the Kloth are one of my favorite pairs of jeans. I love the fit, (true to size) and I love the deep dark color. YOU will love the fact that they are on sale at 55% off. Yep, these babies are only 39.90 with free shipping. I understand, go ahead and order you a pair before they sell out, I’ll wait for you. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | JEANS FOR THE HOLIDAYS | FASHION OVER 40I had the pleasure of getting to see Rachel Hollis in person in September when I was at the Rodan + Fields Convention. I loved her book, “Girl, Wash Your Face” so much that I have even given it away here on the blog. If you have not read this book, then here is a link, do it this year! I also follow her on Facebook and Instagram, I am kind of a “Fan Girl” and I wanted to share with you a video that I found on her page. I assume that you have to be on Facebook to watch, but I am not sure.

  2. Love this look too. You look wonderful, as always.
Even with a shedding golden retriever, I only vacuumed 2-4 times a day! Your friend is welcome at my house any time!
