J.Jill Summer Try On Haul For Women Over 50

J.Jill is a retailer that is always busy. You walk into their stores, and they are full of customers, unlike some retailers. I did a J.Jill Try On Haul Of Spring Styles when I was in Scottsdale, and it was a huge hit with everyone. So, today I’m doing a J.Jill summer try on haul for women over 50, and I bet you like it just as much.

I recently did a post on The Best Jeans From J.Jill and if you didn’t read that, now would be the time. J.Jill is having a 30% off all Pants and Shorts through Sunday the 25th.

J.Jill Summer Try On Haul For Women Over 50

J.Jill is a great store for solids and basics. Their clothing is great quality, and I don’t mind spending extra for items I know I’ll be able to wear for years to come. I wanted to do a J.Jill Summer Try On Haul for you today since there are so many cute styles.

The navy Charming Shell is from Talbots. I bought it several weeks ago, and I love the fit and style so much that I bought it in four more colors. When I find a good “basic” layering piece, I will buy it in multiples. I’m wearing a medium for sizing reference.

The cocoon knit shrug is lightweight and perfect for when you need a little extra warmth. I like the neutral shade that will go with everything. Since it is on sale (an extra 30% off sale prices), I bought the navy version also. It will look great with jeans and a tee this fall.

These Slide Sandals may become my “shoe of summer” choice. I love the casual style that is elevated by the gold-lined opening. The shoes are also available in black, tan, and white. They run TTS, and I’m wearing my usual size 9.

If you are a neutral-loving gurl, you’re going to love this outfit. This outfit looks like you just stepped off a yacht, and are going to a lunch date at the country club.

The Linen-Blend Embroidered Sweater is very lightweight, and that’s perfect for summer. We’ve had a cooler summer than normal, so I’m reaching for long sleeves a lot. This sweater is perfect since it knocks off the chill, but doesn’t hold in a lot of heat.

I love the casual and elegant look of these Linen-Stretch Full-Leg Pants. They are lightweight and flowy, and look so chic! These run big, so you will probably want to size down. I ordered a medium the first time, and I had to send them back for a small.

I LOVE this entire look. The Ruffled-Neckline Maxi Dress is super cute and is perfect for a beautiful summer day. I almost didn’t include this outfit since it is almost sold out. It is still available in XL, 3X, and 4X, and you could call your local store to see if it is in stock in your size. The dress is oversized; I’m wearing a medium but could have worn a small. This is the only dress I included in my J.Jill Summer Try On Haul, but there are a lot of cute dresses online.

I added a gorgeous printed scarf to the dress, but it has already sold out. If you like the print, you can get it in a Shirred Voile Blouse or Tasseled-Drawstring Pull-On Shorts. I ordered the shorts (30% off) since they will look great with the Charming Shell from the first outfit.

Here is another chic outfit for you neutral-loving gurls!

The Textured-Stitch Short-Sleeve Sweater is trimmed in beige/tan to give it some visual interest. It is casual and lightweight and would look great with a pair of shorts or jeans.

Here is a photo so you can see the length of the sweater in the back.

I love these white Modern Linen-Stretch Slit-Hem Pants. I have more white pants than I can wear, but these linen pants seemed to have found their way into my closet. I wear a LOT of white during the summer, and these will be a great addition. I sized up to a medium because I prefer my white pants to fit a tiny bit loose.

MY PICKS FOR THE EXTRA 30% OFF ALL SALE STYLES

Several of the items in my J.Jill Summer Try On Haul are on sale, but not all of them. I tried to pick some items from the extra 30% off sale for you, but I ended up getting frustrated. The “widget” that shows the photo of the item wasn’t cooperating. It would only show one photo of the item, but it might be in a color that isn’t even available. Normally I’m able to choose the photo I want to link to, but not this time. If you like the style of an item, click on it to see the colors that are available. Also, sorry about all the behind shots, I couldn’t pick frontal shots. Lol!

  1. Great blog today! Love JJill…

  2. Tania, thanks! Keep the good ideas coming 🤣🤣🤣
Your R&F results are great. It seemed expensive, last I ordered. Do you know how it compares (price wise) to other OTC products?

    1. Jes, R+F is not cheap! I’m the first to admit that. However, I’m willing to pay for products that I see results with, then they are worth the money. If I buy less expensive priced items that don’t give me the results I want, then those end up costing me the most because I have to then find products that will.

  3. Oh I loved th.e J.Jill fashions. Especially, the sand and sea shirt. Great styles.

  4. Thank you for putting a “button” in your blog to get into your post. I was one of the ones that could not do it when you started the new 2 a day format…so great! Now I can.
I loved the J. Jill try-on session. I was never a fan of J. Jill because I felt their styles were dull, but I’ve since become a fan! I like that they now have brighter colors. I agree that their clothes are of great quality. Cute things you’re showing. Disappointed that the shrug is sold out!

    1. The shrug went really fast!!! I bet they come out with one again next year, so I’ll be on the lookout.

  5. I love the charming shell and the sweater shrug. Unfortunately, the shrug is no longer available

Are you let ting your hair grow out some? It looks very nice! I really like all of the outfits in this post and you look very nice in them. The navy and flax outfit is an elevated and sophisticated look.

  9. I wear a lot of white during the summer so I loved the white sweater and white pants.
Your hair looks great! I like the longer length.

  10. I really like the lavender dress, length is perfect for me, thanks for working so hard! I love the new format and have had. no problems!

  11. So bummed that the JJill cropped linen beige pants are sold out.

  12. We have something in common. I also love to wear white pants! I live in Texas and it is HOT, so I can usually wear them from April through Halloween. I figure it’s okay to wear them if it’s still 90 degrees outside, right? I’d love to see a blog with you styling white pants to extend their season.

Love your blog! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  13. New(ish) to your posts. Never shopped at JJill until you posted a jacket that I fell in love with. Went to the store and now, it may be one of my favorite places to shop…at least for the moment 🙂 Also, seeing the outfits you put together has made me look at the clothes in my own closet in new ways! So happy I signed up!

  17. I love your blog. You’re , funny, relatable, not pretentious and you challenge me to see things I normally wouldn’t wear in a different way. Thank you for appealing to everyone and not just those who match your color choices or style. Keep up the good work.

    1. Yay! Ann, your comment starts my day off perfectly!

  18. Loved you in the blue dress. And such a great green scarf. I absolutely love J. Jill!

    1. I love that dress too, it is so comfy.

  19. Tania, I look forward to your posts every morning! I think your doing a great job and your outfits are always so cute on you! If people are complaining of the things you described they need a job or something to keep them busy, keep doing what your doing and have fun doing it!

    1. Sue, I didn’t mean to insinuate that people are complaining. That’s not accurate. But, people do have issues (everyone does), and I feel compelled to make the issues go away if I can.
