IT IS TIME TO RECOVER FROM THE LONGEST WEEK EVER

Whew! That was the longest week ever! The deals and specials associated with Black Friday started hitting the emails early in the week. Thanksgiving was stranger than usual, but cooking was still a normal activity. Plus, my granddaughter,  Emersyn, was thrilled to have several days off from school, and she declared that she was staying with me until Sunday.

She and I tried decorating my side entrance for Christmas. I had purchased two 5′ Christmas trees to put in my large black urns, lots of flocked garland, and a couple of wreaths from a local store to hang on my doors. The trees were beautiful, and Emersyn was a huge fan of the remote control feature. You can choose to have the tree lights all clear, all multi, a mixture, solid, or chasing. She loves the chasing multi lights, and I prefer the chasing clear lights. She puts it on multi, and I change it as soon as she turns her head. Then, she does the same thing when I turn my head. Lol! I let her win, of course, but once she goes back home on Sunday, the lights will be clear for the rest of the week. Hahaha!

I felt overwhelmed, so I thought that I needed to wear a bright and vibrant color to give me a pick-me-up. I love using color to enhance my mood, and bright pink is one of my favorite choices. This semi-balloon sleeved turtleneck sweater was just what the doctor ordered. I wore this sweater in a Walmart try-on session, and it looked great with black, but I like it even better with these plaid pants. This sweater is almost completely sold out, so I’ll link to some other bright pink options.

I absolutely love these plaid ankle pants! These have a tailored fit, but they are not tight. Instead, these have a flattering fit that is not baggy. The pants come with a sash tie, but I chose not to wear the tie and wear the sweater. I love the colors of the pants, and how it has pink and yellows in the material. I am wearing a size 10, and they fit me perfectly.

My suede kitten heels are the perfect neutral color. I love a kitten heel since you get the look of a dressy heel, but the heel height is much smaller and easier to walk in. These have a cushioned insole, and they are really comfortable. I am wearing a size 9 in these, and they fit true to size.

Today is CYBER MONDAY, and the stores are having even better markdowns than last week. So, those who wait until this week to go shopping will get even better savings.
