INSIDE THE DRESSING ROOM VOL.4
It is time for another try-on haul called, Inside the Dressing Room. I have only recently started doing these in-store try-on posts, but they seem a reader favorite. So, I am going to try and do more of these, which will mean that I will have to travel. I don’t have very many clothing retailers near me, so I have talked Joe into going with me for an overnight trip to try these posts with different stores.
Today’s Inside The Dressing Room is with Chico’s. This is perfect timing since Chico’s has a 30% off your purchase (excludes gift cards and final sale) starting TODAY! There is nothing like great high-quality clothing at a discount!!!
I love this animal print tunic that is in muted gray tonal colors. This tunic top is long enough to be worn with your favorite leggings, and your booty is well covered. I love a tonal outfit, and I think it always looks polished because it looks like you took effort in putting the outfit together.
This animal print tunic is a very soft knit material, and I like that it has a substantial split at the side to allow for movement. Even though the tunic is not a v-neck, which is my favorite, I like the bateau neckline. I am wearing a size 1, and it fits great. Here are some other animal prints that I found, and there is jewelry too, but I didn’t link that.
These washed-iron boyfriend jeans are such a great color! I love gray jeans since they aren’t as stark as black jeans, and I like the change from wearing blue denim. Most of my gray jeans are very washed out, so that is why I like this color so much. It is a perfect blend of black and washed-out looking.
These are boyfriend jeans, so they fit looser than the girlfriend jeans. I am wearing a size 1, but I needed to size down a tad to the .5 for these.
Okay, let’s switch it up some. I am still sticking with an animal print and a tunic length top, but this one is not as thick as the one above. This animal print tunic is a cashmere blend, so it is extra soft and a little more dressy than the gray tonal one.
The tunic is designed with a high low look, and I like that since it hugs your hips for a slimming effect. Most of the time, when tops do this, they are too short in the front to wear with leggings, but this one would still work fine.
However, if the tunic length is too long for you, then do a half tuck. You could completely tuck the sweater in, but I like the look of having a longer length in the back. I am wearing a size 1 in this tunic, and the fit is spot on!
I love the look of these faux-suede ankle pants, but the store didn’t have my size, so I am styling a .5, which is a tad too tight. A size 1 would have been perfect, which is going in my “shopping cart” right now since they are on sale. I loved the oiled look that I’ve seen on leather pants, and I think these will look great with boots.
Boy, adding this GORGEOUS and very shiny faux-fur vest to the outfit makes a huge difference. This vest looks as pretty as any vintage mink furs that I have, and I wouldn’t worry about ruining it when I wore it.
If you are going to wear a vest for warmth, it might as well make a fashion statement too. I can’t wait to wear this out to dinner with Joe, for the holidays, and even with jeans and boots! This vest is a great versatile piece that will make a statement every time you wear it. I am wearing a size 1, and it fits me great.
I think this satin popover top looks like a champagne color, but the website calls it camel. This top is gorgeous but in an understated way. The satin material gives it a luxurious look, but the top could easily be worn with jeans for a dressy/casual look. The top has 3/4 length sleeves (my favorite length) and a bateau neckline for a flattering look.
This popover top has vertical seam details in front and back that give the top visual interest. You can wear the top tucked or untucked, and it should be long enough to wear with leggings. I am wearing my usual size 1, and the top fits me great.
The pants that I am wearing are from the Brigitte So-Slimming line. These are a slim leg fit, and the pattern is a foiled herringbone print. I am wearing a size 1 in these pants, and they are too big on me, and I needed the .5 instead. I can’t find this color online, black with a dark gold herringbone, but I found them in black tonal color.
This color might hit the website shortly, so if I see them there, I’ll be sure to let you know.
I just wanted to show you how the vest looked with the outfit. This outfit looks like a great casual/dressy Holiday look, and this entire outfit came home with me!
The sales lady mentioned that I was wise to wear a neutral shoe for my try-on session, and I had to agree with her. Lol! I always try to wear a neutral shoe if possible when I do the Inside The Dressing Room hauls; it makes the photos look much nicer. I am wearing my usual size 9 in the wedge heels, and they fit great.
The remaining items worn in this post are:
- Avi Gold Hoop Earrings
- Beckett Link Bracelet
- David Yurman Cable Loop Bracelet
- Layton Gold Statement Necklace
- Franco Sarto Wedge heels
Don’t get bummed because the foiled herringbone pants aren’t on the website; I grabbed this pair, and they look great too. These are also part of the Brigitte So Slimming Line, and they feature a diamond jacquard print with button ankles.
I can’t decide which pants I like the best with the camel satin shirt and faux-fur vest. I’ll let you gurls vote on which pair you like the best, the foiled herringbone or the diamond jacquard. I am wearing the .5 in these pants, whereas I was wearing a size 1 in the foiled ones. That way, you can get an idea of the fit.
This gorgeous top is also a satin popover top, but this one has a tie-neck instead of the bateau neckline. The website calls this color Rich Mahogany, but it looks more like burnt sienna or deep rust to me.
I left the top un-tucked in the picture above so that you can see the length from the front and back. And, in this photo, I am doing a half-tuck to give you an idea of that look. No matter what you want to call this top, it looks like the perfect color for fall. I can see wearing this also with the faux-fur vest or a denim jacket and boots. This satin blouse can be dressed up or down easily. I am wearing my usual size 1, and the fit is great.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing tunics and a side tuck for REAL women that don’t feel comfortable or have the desire to walk around with the front of your top tucked in and back hanging out. This “style” has been around for years. Give it a rest ! Lol 😂
Thank you again.
Love the gray jeans. There isn’t a Chico’s near me. I’ll probably go online and order or make a trip to a bigger town to try them on. Thank you for your blog!!
I prefer the diamond jacquard pants.
Oh! These outfits are SO beautiful!
You sent me to Chicos…you style maven. I did not need to spend what I did but glad you get credits for it. If only I photographed like you. Love everything. Best booties for these outfits please?
It’ so weird. I posted a comment, but never saw it appear on there afterwards. I will post again. I really like the Brigitte diamond jacquard pants. The button detail really adds to them. They are something I would just pass on by if I was shopping by myself. But seeing you wear them, I totally change my mind about them. They look great and fashionable. I like your try on sessions and the ideas it gives me. You are great at mixing and matching different items to give a totally different look. Keep up the good work.
Love love love Chico’s. Great outfits! Love the gray outfit AND the foiled pants…Best,
Gurl! You look amazing. When are you going to share your diet secrets? I loved the gray outfit for myself but think the champagne outfit would be a perfect New Years Eve outfit. Happy Halloween weekend!!!!
Love the button ankles! 💕
I liked the diamond jacquard pants best with that top. So many cute looks. I like to seeing the Dressing Room Try On. Thanks for taking the time to do those instead of your usual!
Grey animal print and jeans are great on you! Also the satiny pants–great for holiday parties. Love the session
I love anything Chico’s.
I vote for the foiled herringbone pants. They’re different and cute.
Chico’s does so well with pants. I take a 0.5 too and the fit is terrific!
My vote is for the diamond jacquard pants. The foiled herringbone overdid the shine factor for me.I feel like only one element of an outfit needs to be the star (with the vest/shirt combo working as one element, in this case).
Love the dressing room haul posts. I like seeing a broader range of what each retailer has available.
Love the try on session and my favorite is the herringbone pants.
My favorite top in this post is the animal print tunic. I would definitely wear this. I liked all the pants you modeled!
Chico’s is great! Glad to see some versatile pieces in fun prints and fabric
I love Chico’s pants. Ordered the jeans with the buttons now that they are on sale. Your looks have helped me so much to update my style. Thank you!
I enjoyed this post partly because I love Chico’s. The mahogany (rust) shirt is beautiful on you. It really compliments your skin tones.
the diamond jacguard pants with the camel blouse.
Gurl how have you lost so much weight. I have noticed you are going down sizes in items you previously wore larger. You are looking good!!!
Good post, love the gray leopard tunic! If only it were better priced!
I love Chico’s!
All of the outfits look great on you. It would be difficult to pick a favorite. I think Chicos have quality clothes and they fit better.
love the grays outfit!!
nice try-on series
I love your try on posts! It is nice to see things and hear your input. I agree about softness being a quality I like and you just can’t tell from ordering online if the inside is nice against my skin. I also really am impressed with your ability to mix and match things. I am not as good at that. I am trying to change and wear things more then one way.
I love the satin tie neck popover top in the mahogany colour and the diamond print pants. Love all your dressing room posts actually!
It sounds like you live far out, like we do. I do enjoy the fitting room try on sessions and so appreciate a Joe’s willingness to do an overnight trip so that you can make these posts happen every now and then! You tried on some very pretty pieces! My vote is for the foiled herringbone pants.
Yikes, you want me to pick which pants? Ok, the diamond jacquard because the size is better, however, get the foiled herribone as well as they look easy to alter to fit (especially as inventory and size variey is low), the boyfriend jeans , look for your size and get those-if too big ….still can alter. Love the animal print tunic, wear it when you guys come over. I’m lioving popover top, what I thought was a horizontal seam is actually a fold…..I think though, on this top putting a seam there that pleats over would be a great place to shorten the top if needed. You don’t have to be a seamstress so simple things. Am I making you spend more? Lol, Do it anyway, up you look HOT!
Oh my goodness, ALL the things you tried on are so cute!! It would have been hard for me to decide what got to come home with me.
Thanks for sharing these with us. Loved this post.
Have a wonderful weekend.
I like the foiled herringbone pants better!
I love that satin popover too!! Fabulous!
Great ideas for my Christmas list! Trying to finish my shopping by Thanksgiving so I can relax and simply feel blessed !
I love these try-ons .. thx for doing them. You looked great in everything but I’d vote for the darker of the two slacks.
LOVE the foiled herringbone best. Especially with the bateau neck satin top!
Love the posts and ideas! Thanks from Colorado.
As always Tania, all the outfits look great on you. My favorites are the cashmere animal print tunic and pants, the faux fur vest and the outfit with the silky-smooth top and pants.
You do such a great job and I appreciate the time and effort you put into your work to bring us these beautiful styles.
The herringbone pants were my favorite!
I love all the outfits you look fantastic in all of these. Of course I like the herringbone pants the best I just love the color of those. Love your post.
Love all the outfits Tania. I think I like the foiled herringbone pants best with the outfit. Love the grey animal print outfit too. Love these try-ones.
I think those grey washed jeans are gorgeous. I agree a nice change.
The first 2 outfits are my favorites. I also love the faux fur vest.
Love, love, love these in the store posts!! So many beautiful outfits from Chico’s. Please keep them coming❤️
Hi Tania! I love the gray tonal outfit. For me, I have never worn anything shiny or foiled. Looks really dressy. I am a jeans and khaki kind if girl. Although i am 72 years old I love anything in fashion and i have tried all of the trends that have come and gone . I am very conservative about my clothes and my looks but I like to spice it up at times. I am retired I. A jeans and tee shirts kind of gal. All Of the colors looks great on you. I love the color Rich Mahogany on you. We are similar in coloring. Love your blog and your style. Keep it coming! Have a great weekend! Don’t get tricked!!!🧡🍁
I LOVE the inside the dressing room posts. You do such a great job:). Thank you!
Love both outfits. They are young and fresh

The first thing that I noticed is that you look so slim! Keep up the good work. 🙂
Personally, I am not a fan of Chico’s but appreciate that you went the extra MILE for this inside the dressing room post.
Julia
I like the lighter colored pants with the vest and satin shirt. Loved the Gray first outfit, too. I always bought Chico clothes when I still worked and have many in my wardrobe now.
All these outfits look great on you! I’m trying to decide if I “need” that vest or a tweed fringe cardigan I saw in their catalog.
Great holiday looks!
Yay! I love when you do posts in a store Hope to see you shopping at J Jill one of these days.
Yeah! It works! 😊
Great post!
Enjoy the last weekend of October everyone! 🌻
super fun! love the faux suede pants, they are so cute.
I think your face lights up in the gold animal print outfit. You look so pretty. I also light the grey top and jeans for myself. Especially since they’re longer and cover nicely. Thank you for all you do.
Herringbone pants are terrific. I just love them, I think I like the looser fit in the 1. I don’t like wrinkled knees. I like all the tops but the one you are taking home is my favorite. The vest is to die for! I can see it with lots of things I already own. You look great in it all!
I vote for the diamond jacquard! With your pretty blonde hair lighter colors work better in my opinion! Thanks for the try on post!
Beautiful as usual!
Definitely the foiled pants! I think the size is fine 🙂
