I’M JUST AS EXCITED ABOUT MY SECOND TRY ON HAUL FROM THE NSALE

 

I am thrilled that everyone seemed to enjoy yesterday’s try-on haul from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I don’t want those who can’t yet shop the sale to be left out, so I included a new LOOKBOOK at the end of this post for a different retailer. I also hope to have a LOOKBOOK for several sales on Saturday, so be sure to look for that.

 

Because this post is long, I am not going to do any chit-chatting, so let’s get started with the first outfit. This sweater is a beautiful medium blue color, and the material is ribbed for a nice detail and has some stretch. I love the deep v-neck, and I think that is the most flattering neckline for me.

 

 

The sweater is soft to the touch, and the sleeves have a small amount of puff to them. I thought that you might like to see a close-up of them. I am wearing a large, and I think the sweater runs true to size.

The jeans that I have on are The Looker skinny jeans by Mother that I showed in yesterday’s post. I am wearing a size 30 in them.

 

 

I thought that this colorful graphic tee was a fun item! This is a colorful version of John Pasche’s famous tongue logo for the Rolling Stones. I have a sweatshirt that I LOVE by the same retailer, and I think this t-shirt is another great item.

 

 

This would be so cute to dress up with a blazer, and it would be an unexpected twist. I am wearing a large so that it gives that oversized look.

The jeans are by Wit & Wisdom, and they are the Itty Bitty Bootcut Jeans. This is the regular misses size, and they also come in petite, plus, and tall. I just ordered the tall ones because I want to wear them with platform shoes or boots also.

 

 

This was one of my favorite looks from the sale. It is definitely not the most affordable look, but it is one that I will wear for years to come. The Vince cable-knit merino wool and cashmere-blend sweater is the expensive part of this outfit. I am a sucker for cable-knit sweaters, and this one is so upscale and luxurious. The sweater is meant to be oversized, and I am wearing a medium.

I am wearing the turtleneck version, but there is a crewneck version in regular and plus size.

 

 

These faux leather leggings by Spanx are the bomb diggity. DO NOT be afraid to wear these if you are over 40!!! They hold you in great, and they give you are modern and youthful look. I don’t know about you, but looking modern and youthful is on my to-do list! I am wearing an XL in these, and they fit really nicely.

 

 

The sweater was definitely a splurge purchase for me, but I do think that I will wear this a lot in the fall and winter. The great neutral color will go with anything, and that is how I am justifying it. Lol! Here is a look at the length of the sweater and the notched side vent.

 

 

This pale shell pink crewneck wool and cashmere sweater by Vince was sure calling my name. This sweater fits so well, and the fine knit is luxurious looking. The sweater is a relaxed everyday style, but it is so elegant looking. I know that it would look fabulous with a pair of ivory dress pants and heels!

 

 

I added the Bisque Barefoot Dreams cardigan to the look because I love the soft feel of it. If you can only buy one thing from this sale, you might want to consider making it something from Barefoot Dreams. I looked at this brand for years before I finally decided to give them a try, and now I want everything they make. Lol! I even ordered a pair of socks from them so that I can laze around in comfort. I already own this cardigan in Cocoa Heather, and I wear it all of the time.

 

 

This sleeveless top is one of my favorite purchases! I think it hides so many of my flaws, and the crossover feature makes me look so much slimmer.

 

 

I just wanted to show you how you can dress this top up by adding the black check blazer to the outfit. I loved this shirt so much that I bought it in EVERY color!!! It is under $30.00, so it is affordable, and it is very versatile! I am wearing a large in the top.

These black raw hem skinny jeans by Kut From The Kloth is also a favorite purchase. I love Kut From The Kloth jeans, and these are as comfortable as they are sharp. These skinny jeans are edgy and modern looking, and they will be great for wearing with boots and booties this fall. You need to size down one size since these have so much stretch to the.

 

 

This outfit is super soft and comfy. I’ve already shown you all of these pieces on today’s post or yesterday’s post.

 

 

The top is the square neck black and white top, but I see that it is down to XS sizes only. So, I’ll link to some similar ones below. I am also wearing my black heather Barefoot Dreams Circle Cardigan in a medium, the black raw-hem jeans, and a pair of black square toe strap sandals by Steve Madden.

 

The Looker jeans by Mother is a pair that I showed earlier, and the white tank is an old one of mine. I added the colorblock Kent cardigan by Madewell. I love the colors of this cardigan, and I think that it will be fabulous for fall. I am wearing a medium in this cardigan because I think it runs small.

 

 

These Tory Burch boots were another splurge purchase, but I think that I will get a lot of wear from them. I bought a similar pair last year, but the color was a darker brown. This caramel color is the color that I wear the most, so I couldn’t help myself. Lol! The lug sole has started to grow on me. In the past, I thought this sole looked like a construction worker. (my dad is in construction) But, now I think it looks modern and youthful. These run true to size.

 

 

This is the last and final outfit for today. But, I got notifications all day long that orders were delivered. So, when I get back home, I’ll have more outfits to show you. I have already given you the links for the boots and the Looker jeans, so this cute floral tee is the only thing to talk about.

 

 

This tee is by Free People, and it is the color that I love. The website calls this color, “navy” but I don’t think that is a good description. It is more of a green/blue or maybe a dusty teal color. And, the flowers have caramel colors, so I think it looks great with the boots. I am wearing a size large, and I love the way that it fits.
