I HAVE MY PARTY OUTFIT, NOW I NEED A PARTY

I need to have a Christmas party this year. We haven’t had one in ages, and I would love to have a small gathering of my neighbors to get to know them better. I’ve already got many party outfits, so now all I need is a dining room table. Lol! I guess I get to go furniture shopping in the next few days.

I’ve only met a couple of neighbors at our new house, but the ones we’ve met have been so nice. Joe and I were just talking the other day that we couldn’t ask for any better neighbors. The gentleman on the right watches over our house when we aren’t here, and the one on the left takes care of our yard and does all kinds of handyman work. We have truly been blessed, and I am so thankful they are our neighbors.

This wool-blend gold embellished jacket might be overkill for a neighborhood party, but it would be a great party outfit for a work party. There are times when you want to stand out, and there are times when you want to blend in. This is definitely a stand-out kind of party outfit.

Black and gold are a classic color combination, and this jacket would look great over a long black dress for a black-tie event. I can see being able to wear this jacket as more than just a party outfit, so think rehearsal dinners, going to a play, or even a night out on the town with your hubby.

I am wearing a size 1, the jacket fits me great, and I still have room for a thicker sweater, so I don’t think that will be an issue. The jacket would look great with these dresses below.

I’m wearing a black turtleneck under the jacket. I wanted to wear something that wouldn’t take away from the jacket, so this turtleneck doesn’t have any bells or whistles. Lol! There is one that I have on order that has a metallic stripe on the sleeves that will look great with jeans. I am wearing my usual size 1 in the turtleneck, and the fit is perfect.

I can’t get over how pretty this jacket is, so I’m going to show you a few more photos that show it in greater detail.

If you’ve never ordered jewelry from Chico’s, then you will be surprised at the quality. I never expected a clothing retailer to have such excellent quality jewelry, but Chico’s is great. I added a few pieces from the Black & Goldtone collection since they will be great for a party outfit. Here are the links to the tassel necklace, the tassel earrings, and the link bracelet.

The matching rings are by Kendra Scott, and I loved how great they looked with the Black and Goldtone jewelry. This set comes with three pieces, but I am only wearing the two crystal bands. Those who have been following me for a long time know that I used to wear a black opal ring.

As you can see, the ring has broken, and a whole row of diamonds is now missing. This ring has been worn every day for over 25 years (it was a 10th-anniversary present, and Joe and I just celebrated 35 years on the 14th), so I was anxious to get it fixed. However, when COVID struck, the jewelry shut down.

Finally, the other day, I talked to them, and they told me to send them the ring, and they would fix it for me. I can’t say enough good things about this jeweler; they’ve fixed the ring one other time when I lost the large opal and hardy charged me anything. I’m sure you’ve been wondering when I would tell you about these gold ankle jeans! As soon as I saw these jeans, I knew that I had to have them. These So Slimming ankle jeans will look great any time of the year, but they are especially great for a party outfit. I can’t wait to wear these with navy or bright pink, and I think they will look great with a denim jacket.

I am wearing my usual size 1, but since I’ve lost some weight recently, I think I need to size down to a .5.
