I AM YOURS

What I believe is not the same thing that the Lord believes. My thoughts get convoluted with thoughts from the devil which is not what I want to happen at all. The devil tries to create havoc and doubt and the Lord tries to give calmness and faith.

I was going to the bank and post office the other day and I heard an interview with Lauren Daigle. In the interview, she was talking about the new album that she just released. I was excited to hear that she had come out with a new album because I love her music. Then yesterday, when I went shopping for some groceries I saw the single, “You Say,” on her Facebook page and it had been released. I pulled it up on YouTube and started listening to the song as I was driving down the road.

When I can’t feel a thing

When I think I am weak

When I am falling short
When I don’t belong

I believe

This song hit me like a ton of bricks. As I was driving down the road I had tears streaming down my cheeks. Every time I would hear the words being sung, “When I don’t belong You say that I am Yours” I would start weeping all over again.

How many times have I thought to myself that I didn’t belong, that I was not good enough? It is probably a ridiculous number and one that I don’t even want to think about. All those times, it has been the devil talking to me and “I” was choosing to listen to him.

So, today, I am choosing to BELIEVE the Lord. I believe that He is my fortress and that makes “me” strong. I believe that He holds my hand and that makes “me” brave. I believe that He takes “my” burdens and that gives me comfort. I BELIEVE in the Lord!

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 41:10

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

It is not easy to keep doubts and worry from creeping into our thoughts. The devil prays on our insecurities and he knows what buttons to push. A visual reference can help, so take the time to print out this picture and put it somewhere that you will see it when you wake up. Start the day off by knowing in whom you believe. If you need, print off more than one and put them around your house until you feel the joy from knowing that “I Am Yours!” I would love to spread the love of the Lord.
