HOW YOU CAN WEAR A LONG SLEEVE SHIRT IN THE SUMMER AND LOOK GREAT

 

I am off! Today, I am in Atlanta visiting with my sister. We will do our first shopping wave of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and she is already prepared to come home exhausted. People who go shopping with me can often be found sitting at a table having a drink since I take so long to shop. Lol!

 

 

Today, I have a few announcements that you don’t want to miss. So, be sure to read all of the way to the end.

I don’t normally shop at a Nordstrom store since there isn’t one near to me. The closest one is probably 4 hours away, but I would rather drive a little longer and spend time with my sister.

Since I don’t normally shop in-store, it might take me a few minutes to get my bearings. I fully expect to be overwhelmed initially and not have a clue where to go or what to do. Hopefully, I will find some items to do an Inside The Dressing Room for you, and let you see how the items fit and look.

 

 

This v-neck long sleeve top by Caslon is super cute and it is from Nordstrom. It is not part of the sale, so you can buy it anytime. The top is lightweight, so even though it is long-sleeved, it is not hot.

I love the colors of this top, and both of my daughter-in-laws loved it too. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I am buying with the thoughts of fall coming soon. So, I think the colors of this top will go great with camel, navy, white, or green colored pants. There are a couple of other patterns to choose from, and all of them are cute. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me great.

 

 

I wish this leather crossbody were in the sale; it is so cute and the perfect color for now and later. The website calls this a medium-sized handbag, and this is what I am carrying when I go shopping for the sale. It is big enough to carry my essentials, and I can keep it close to my body by wearing it in the crossbody style. You will see a lot of this handbag in the future.

 

 

Here is a look at the top un-tucked so that you can see the length. I like to style things both ways to get a better idea of how it would look on you. For sizing reference, I am 5’6″ tall, and I normally wear a size 10 in jeans (or a size 30), a medium or a large in tops, and a size 12 in dresses.

 

 

This navy twill utility jacket is a great transition piece, and it is on sale! Navy is a great neutral that most of us can wear. It is not as harsh against our skin as black, and it goes with anything. This is a lightweight unlined jacket, so it will be perfect for when the evenings start getting cool. I also like that it has an adjustable drawcord waist to fit you any way that you like.

 

 

The jacket has lots of pockets, and that makes me happy! I think this jacket makes the overall look more put-together and polished, and it is one that you could wear a lot. I am wearing a medium, and it is plenty large enough on me.

 

 

I don’t have very much jewelry, only my AVI large gold hoop earrings. Can you tell those are my favorite? Lol! I seem to wear these all of the time with almost everything. They are lightweight, so they don’t make my ears hurt. And, they create quite a statement all by themselves.

 

 

The other day, I styled my Jag Jeans and mentioned that they were the most comfortable pair of jeans that I have. That is still what I think, but this pair by Wit and Wisdom is a close second. If you have even tried Wit and Wisdom jeans, then you know what I am talking about. Comfort is their middle name!!!

I created confusion when I wore the Jag Jeans because I said that I was wearing a size 30. The website shows the sizes like 8, 10, 12, etc., so I am sorry that I confused some of you. The tag in the jeans has both the 10 and the 30 listed, and I went with the 30. I am wearing a size 10 in both the Jag Jeans and the Wit and Wisdom pair. BTW, both of these jeans are staying in my wardrobe; they fit and feel way too good for me to send them back.
