HOW YOU CAN MAKE A STATEMENT IN A SWEATER AND JEANS

It was a weekend spent baking cookies, playing card games, and dancing in the kitchen. Anytime that Emersyn comes to spend the weekend, it is a lot of fun and I am worn out by the time that she heads back to her home. Saturday night she was playing music on Alexa, and she even talked Joe into dancing with her. I wanted to grab a video of that, but I was afraid that they would stop the minute that they saw me pick up the phone.

I must have gained 10 lbs this weekend from all of the cookies that we baked and then had to eat. And, cookies go perfectly with hot cocoa, so you know that was also on the menu. Joe wasn’t any help either since he came home with a homemade apple pie that was absolutely delicious! YUMMY! At this point, I am throwing up my hands in the air until Thanksgiving is over. This year has been stressful enough, I don’t want to add to my stress by depriving myself of Pecan Pie, Turkey, and Dressing, Sweet Potato Crunch, Corn Casserole, Cranberry Relish, and buttered rolls. I think that I just gained another 5 lbs just thinking about all of this. Lol!!!

I love the large black dots on the caramel background of this sweater. Black and brown are a favorite color combination on mine, and this sweater took all of the work out of the equation. I did have some fun with the sweater though acting like it was a Twister game. Lol! This crewneck sweater is relaxed with a drop shoulder style, and I am wearing a medium which fits me perfectly. You are sure to get noticed with this statement sweater.

My black So Slimming Girlfriend ankle jeans from Chico’s look great with the sweater. I love ankle jeans because you can wear them with flats, heels, or boots, and they look great with all of them. You know that I am all about versatility, and you can’t get much more versatile than black jeans. With Chico’s girlfriend jeans I need to size down to get the fit that I want. I am wearing a size .5 in these jeans, but with other brands, I will need a size 10.

The scrunch black boot by Scoop is a pair that I wore in this post with a faux leather jacket. These boots are super cute, slightly edgy, and very affordable. I am wearing a size 9 in these, and they fit me perfectly.

I did a survey the other day on Instagram Stories and asked what were the stores that you shopped the most for your Christmas gifts. I can’t get them all on one post, but I’ll try to add a couple each day and pick out several Top Picks for you. Today I am starting with Target and Etsy. I love that Etsy is comprised of small businesses, and I love getting unique and personalized gifts from there.

All of the sweaters are under $21.00, and most of them are available in multiple colors.
