The weekend is here, and I am beyond thrilled. I foresee a day of rest and relaxation in my future. The grandbabies came over to visit last night, and they were a blast. Beckham, who is three years old, is learning the fine art of arguing, and he has picked Joe as his sparring partner. Joe loves to argue, so Beckham is going to be learning for the best. On the other hand, I hate controversy and arguing, and I will go miles out of my way just to avoid an argument.

They say that opposites attract, and I must agree. Joe is outgoing, and I am more introverted. I love to go out to dinner, and Joe prefers staying at home. Joe is political and loves all things politics, but I don’t enjoy the process. I love to shop, and Joe will give me 15 minutes to shop in a store. Needless to say, Joe and I don’t go shopping together. Lol! Just because people don’t see eye to eye on everything doesn’t mean that they can’t be friends or spouses. We all have to learn to live with our differences and appreciate each other’s point of view.

I was feeling very Coco Chanel today, and I wanted to experiment with my pearl necklaces. This is two necklaces worn together, but I actually had on another choker pearl necklace, but I decided that might have been a little too much. Lol! I love the Coco Chanel multi necklace style, but I don’t wear this look often. I usually reserve this look for a little black dress and a special event. But, I believe in wearing my clothing and jewelry as much as possible and not saving it only for special occasions.

Bright Rose is the color name of this super soft sweater, and I love the bright color. There is a tiny touch of wool in the sweater, which helps with warmth, but the other materials keep the sweater from being scratchy. This is a classic pullover crewneck design, and it is one that you can wear for years. The sweater runs a tiny bit large, so I ordered a medium, which perfectly fits me. This sweater comes in NINE colors, so you are bound to find one that you like.

I pulled out a pair of old jeans from my closet for this look. Jeans are something that I always had a hard time getting the right fit, but I think that brands have gotten better at fitting a woman’s body. I do like several brands, and I know that their jeans always fit me well. But, I love trying lots of brands because you never know what will be your next “favorite” jean. Here are several that I’ve tried and loved, and the Butter Jeans that I’ve heard great things about. I am going to order a pair of those soon to let you know how they fit.

Johnna commented on one of my posts that Leopard was her favorite color. I have to say that I agree with her. Leopard print is considered a neutral, so you can wear it with anything, and it will still be alright. One of my favorite colors to wear with leopard is pink. I love how the bright color pops against the print, and I will pair the two together at every opportunity. These Sam Edelman leopard print heels are a new purchase. I found them on clearance, and there were only a few sizes left. I was lucky enough to grab a pair, but I can’t find them online any longer. Here are several Sam Edelman Leopard Print heels though that are just as cute.

Removing the necklaces and putting on loafers would turn this outfit into a casual Saturday look. I meant to take photos of that look to show you how it would look, but the battery on my camera needed to be charged. So, you will have to use your imagination on this one. Any outfit that I wear, you should always try to make it your own. Everyone has a style that is personal to them, so don’t be afraid to switch things around to suit you.

Matthew 5:44-45

44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

  3. Kellie Johnson says:

I love leopard print. I’ve been looking for a leopard print tank top to wear under cardigans. Having trouble finding one I like. Love the shoes

  4. Jan Fusco says:

    Love this outfit today.
I like to wear strands of pearls with a chambray or denim shirt and jeans. I also add pearl bracelets and earrings. Love what it adds to spiff it up a little.

  5. I’m with you. I don’t save anything for special occasions. Since college, I’ve always been accused of being “so dressed up,” but I love fashion so why not wear what makes you happy! Pearls, sparkle, heels, why not! You look terrific!

  6. Love checking out your post. I like the jeans you had on today. I do t like skinny jeans on me and it’s hard to find “just right jeans”. Thanks for sharing a variety!

    1. Peggy, look for a straight cut instead of skinny. Those will allow you to still get the look that you want without a huge flare at the bottom.

  7. Such a nice look on you. Love your hair too!

  8. Tania, I just want to thank you for your amazing blog! I look forward to reading it every morning!!! I love your outfit today! You have given me so much help and so many great fashion ideas. That sweater is exactly what I have been looking for! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

    1. Thanks so much, Cristy! I am tickled that the sweater is what you were looking for!

  9. I love your pearls and the leopard shoes two of my favorites!

    1. They are two of my favorites also.

What a great look! I love all the pearls and the color of the sweater looks fantastic on you! My husband and I are opposites too. I am outgoing and talk a lot, my hubby is very quiet. And like you, I could shop all the time, hubby hates it! Lol! But, we just celebrated our 19th anniversary last week!

    1. I would hate it if we were all just alike. Think how boring it would be.

I love this look with all the pearls! Pearls are my favorites and I wear them with just about anything, but my favorite way is to pile on layers of pearls over a graphic tee. The contrast is just so cool! The rose color of your sweater looks magnificent on you! And leopard shoes are always a good idea! I agree completely that it is so important to appreciate and respect our differences. It is what makes the world a richer place. How boring would it be if we all thought and acted exactly the same?

    1. I love wearing pearls with jeans, but this look might be over the top for most people. Lol!

I just love your blog. When I get up in the morning with my caramel cappuccino I sit and read your blog. You’re so inspiring and creative and real. You’ve given me several ideas of how to dress and combine clothes to fit my new retirement lifestyle. Keep up the good work.

    1. Karen, a caramel cappuccino sounds wonderful! Yummy!

  13. Looooove wearing pearls even when it isn’t a dressy occasion! Yours are wonderful—length and being multiples. And turquoise is my favorite Compliment color with leopard ❤️

    1. Charlene, I love wearing pearls when it isn’t dressy too. I realize that these were over the top, but I was having fun playing around.

I agree with you 100% about leopard being a favorite neutral. I wear looking at my closet the other day and I realized how many leopard things I own: t-shirt, blouse, sweaters, flats, heels, mules, blazer, coat! One day I was in the doctor’s office (pre-covid) and I struck up a conversation with a woman sitting near me. Every piece of clothing she had on, shoes, socks, pants, sweater and coat were all leopard print. I complimented her on her leopard print clothes and thought to myself, that could be me someday. Lol! I do love the Coco Chanel look you have worn today and with the tweed jacket you had on recently! I look forward to seeing what your new Christmas decorations will look like with your new color palette in your house. Have a great, relaxing weekend!

    1. Lol! Now that you mention it, I might be that woman later in life also. Hahaha
