HOW TO WEAR BLACK AND RED FOR A NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN
The season of parties is here! I feel like this coming weekend will be “the” party weekend for Christmas. My son is going to an Ugly Christmas sweater party this weekend, which sounds like a blast! I get to keep the kids, and I am planning on a sleepover with the two rugrats, and I have got to come up with some distractions for them. Emersyn is relatively easy to keep busy, but the little man might be another matter. Bedtime will be the biggest challenge, so I am trying to come up with some fun activities that will tire them out.
The problem is that most of the activities that I can think of are going to hype them up. I was thinking about making cookies and letting them decorate them. Of course, that means that they will also be “eating” them. Lol! Speaking of eating, some of you have been asking about what I am doing, and if I am still trying the “diet” that I mentioned in this post here. I am still trying to do fasting, and my version is fairly simple. What I like best is the fact that I can eat anything that I want, it just has to be in my eating window. So, I never feel like I am deprived; I need to wait for the right timeframe. I usually start eating (breaking the fast) around 2:00 pm and then I try to stop eating by 7:00 pm. eating something small is what I prefer, like an apple and peanut butter, at 2:00, and then have dinner around 6:00-6:30. I find that works best for the way that I feel, even though I have only lost a couple of pounds. When my tummy is growling, I’ll drink black coffee or water, and then smile as I envision my body munching down on belly or booty fat. YUM! Lol! Here is a link to the book that I read if you are interested in trying this with me.
I thought this black crochet-lace top would be a perfect choice for any holiday get-together. I love the drama that this top creates with the dramatic open weave sleeves. The rest of the top is lined, but the beautiful lacework still shows up great. This top has a mock neck that is not too high, and it has raised lace around the top of the neck. The sleeves are supposed to be shorter like this so that you can see any jewelry that you might be wearing. The top is machine washable; you would need to dry it flat though instead of putting it in the dryer. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me great. This top comes in four different colors, but the sizes are starting to get limited. If this is something that you could see yourself wearing often, then here is the link.
Look at this beautiful vintage tassel necklace!!! This necklace is so sparkly in person with all of the facetings on the beads. I love vintage jewelry, but it is delicate, and you have to baby it sometimes. You don’t want to catch this on something and break the cord that all of these beads are strung on because the entire necklace could be ruined. I added a pair of red studs earrings and a red bracelet, both of which have been discontinued. Then, I also added two of my Styled Collective bracelets, and here are the links to those. Chariot and Logan.
The bright red pumps blend in perfectly with my jewelry and my Christmas tree. Red is not a color that I thought I would ever want to wear on my feet, but I have ended up loving the look. It is funny how we can be so sure that we won’t like something until we try it, and then we wonder what took us so long. Lol! I think the red looks classy, sassy, and very flirty. This look is sure to get Santa Baby’s attention. Hahaha!
I wanted to remind everyone of the new feature in the Menu bar: Shop My Post. You can click on that and see the latest links, or use it as a search engine to look back at previous outfits.
Someone mentioned in a comment that they missed me not posting as much about the skincare that I use. I love my skincare, I use my skincare, and I could talk to you for hours about the skincare. But, I figured that you might not want to hear about it daily, so I am only posting when something is important. This is important!!! This set can save you an additional 20% off of the purchase price for two of the best sellers, but it ends on the 18th! Lash Boost is solely responsible for my lashes (look back when I first started blogging if you don’t believe me), and Active Hydration Serum is why I no longer have skin like a crocodile. If you want to ask me any questions, then shoot me a message to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com. If you’re going to make a purchase, then make sure to do that as my Preferred Customer so that you can get an additional 15% off the purchase price and FREE shipping. Yep! This is an important announcement!!! Here is the link to the ShowStopper Set, and you can view other products from there also if you are not interested in the special.

LOVE this look! Have fun with the littles!
Thanks, Ann!
Merry Christmas! Here’s an idea to do with your grandkids this weekend. We did it with ours and they had so much fun and even asked if we could do it next year. On Pinterest, you can find a Christmas Light Scavenger Hunt list. Get the kids in their pajamas and go for a ride trying to find decorations that have all red lights, a candy cane, Baby Jesus, a wreath, etc. Check the items off as you see them. When you get home, enjoy some hot cocoa and put them to bed. Enjoy!
Ann, thanks so much for the suggestion! I know Emersyn would like that. Beckham might still be too young, but riding in the car is always a good way to kill time.
Love this look, but you make all the outfits you style look good. Started the one meal a day fast yesterday. My window is from 4:00 to 8:00, we will see how this goes. Have a blessed day.
Good luck, Lori!!! The hardest thing for me has been drinking my coffee without my creamer. UGH!
Wi love how the shoes, bracelet and necklace match. This is a great holiday outfit! Have fun with the munchkins. They grow so fast.
They do grow up very fast!
