HOW TO WEAR A CARDIGAN
Today was a much better day for my cold. I am so glad that I have some energy and that I am no staying asleep on the couch all day long. Getting a shower, putting on some makeup, and finally getting out of my pajamas were the highlights for the day. In case there is anyone under 40 reading this, I will just tell you now……when you cough or sneeze, you run the risk of peeing on yourself. ? You just need to learn the stop, cross your legs, and wait method. Lol! Am I lying gurls???
I wanted to share some BIG news that is happening today in the Stephens household. Today my baby, my youngest child, turns 29. Yep, my baby boy who just happens to be 6’4″ tall is having a birthday today!!! Woot Woot! That is part of my fantastic news and then the other part is……today my baby girl leaves Juneau heading home for the winter!!! I am thrilled for her to finally be home since she has been gone since at least 2009, maybe even longer. She asked me on the phone last night if I had talked to one of her friends. I told her no and asked why. She said that they knew that she was leaving Juneau today and thought I might have told them. When I mentioned that I might have told you “gurls” she said, WHAT??? You gave out all the details, etc. Lol!! Actually, I don’t think that I did tell everything but she knows me well enough to know that I might have. Hahaha! Let me put it to you this way; if you don’t want me to tell everyone something, then you have to say that it is a secret. Otherwise, it is free game. LOL! Treat me like you would a reporter…..”this is off the record.”
I have been wanting to wear this color scheme for a while. I love the dark olive pants and the old gold tank top together. This old gold color tank top is one that I have had for a while and it is always a favorite top for me in the fall season. I guess that it reminds me of the leaves after they turn colors. For those who might not be able to wear the brighter yellows, this color could work instead.
Ghouls, I have a Facebook group that I am going to be having a “Trick or Treatment” Halloween Special. I would love for all of you to join me on this page. Glad you are feeling better. I too love those colors together. I need to look for mustard color items!
Good morning, Tania. I’m so glad you are feeling better. Birthday wishes to your baby and I hope your daughter has a safe and eventful time coming home. After 12 weeks from breaking my ankle I’m walking (like a pirate) on my own and feeling so much better about life. We take (I take) so much for granted! If you can get up on both feet and can fix yourself a cup of coffee and walk to your favorite seat in the house to drink that coffee, get down on your knees and thank God right now! Seriously, I’m so thankful that I can do that, without a scooter or crutches or help from my sweet husband, that put up with me forever. Sorry I made this post about me, but I’m praising God right now, with a big ole smile on my face. I’m still very swollen and have a limp, and pee my pants sometimes ;- 0 but thankful! Lol
The colors look great on you…Cute outfit. I have too much olive in my skin tone for those colors.
Melesa, I sat here with a big ole smile on my face also. You are so right about taking things for granted. We never know the shoes that someone else is walking in. I am tickled to hear that you are back being mobile, even if it is slower than normal.
Love your blogs and your honesty about real life. You’re a joy to read.
Thanks, Charlotte. We are all alike so there is no need to pretend that we are something that we are not.
I love the stop the pee trick! So true!
