HOW TO STYLE NEUTRALS
This has been a long day. Today I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia for a doctors appointment for baby Beckham. Kayla, Emersyn and I had to drive for 5 hours in order to get there. Beckham’s appointment is really early so we had to come up the night before in order to be here in time. AND, of course, it started snowing just as we got ready to pull out of the driveway.
I don’t mind driving in the snow as long as it isn’t really deep. I was a little more nervous since I had the kids in the car so I tried to be extra careful. When Beckham was born the doctors said he had a horseshoe-shaped kidney. They said that as he got older he would be more prone to kidney infections and possibly kidney stones but we want to know if there are any other problems that might arise. We also want to know about diet and even if sports would be something that he could participate in later in life. In other words, we just need information.
Today’s look is about neutrals. I started the outfit by picking out this turtleneck sweater. I can’t remember for sure but I think this sweater is from Old Navy. I think we all need a neutral sweater in our closet for the winter months. The only people who might not need a sweater would be those who live in climates that don’t experience the colder weather. This sweater would look great with jeans also or really almost anything. Even though I am not a fan of turtlenecks I do think they are great in the winter months.
I am just loving this months Plunder Posse! This has big silver pears on a gray ribbon and then it has fringed leather that extends from the pearls. The back of the leather is brown so you get a mingling of the gray and brown. I thought that it was perfect since the fur vest has browns and gray also.
I have had this vest for several years. I think I bought it at Target but I could not be for sure. The different color variations are what I really like about this vest. It gives it a lot of dimension and interest.
I want to remind you of the giveaway that I am doing right now. If you have not yet entered then go to this post to enter. Cute outfit! I love how your hair matches the blonde color in the vest!
Prayers for your little grandson.
love this look! prayers for the grandbaby…
Years ago, one of my mother’s friends had a grandbaby born with a large cyst on his kidney. The doctors said it would have to be surgically removed ( I can’t remember if the kidney had to be removed with the cyst or not). A lot of people spanning several states started a prayer chain for the baby to be healed. When it was time for the next doctor’s visit, they found the cyst completely gone and the kidney was perfectly healthy! No surgery required on that little baby!!! The doctors said it couldn’t be explained except for a miracle of God! Maybe if we start a prayer chain for Baby Beckham, another miracle will happen!!! God still works miracles today and I know He would love to bless your sweet grandbaby too!!!
Hope that Beckham is doing well. I always start my day by reading your blog, but today I didn’t get a chance until just now. How funny that when I opened it up I did a double-take, because I was also wearing a “fur” vest today! I guess that great minds think alike! Thanks for posting such helpful photos and tips.
Thoughts and prayers for Baby Beckham. You’ve given me so many great ideas for styling my clothes. Thank you! Any chance we could get a peek at your closet and jewelry organization? That would be awesome!
OK, Are you ready for a good laugh? When you were initially talking about Beckham, I thought you were referring to your dog. I thought Ok, I know she’s a good mama to her fur-babies and then you said you were concerned about him participating in sports… (Light bulb came on ) Lol ;-D I had no idea your dog was considering sports! Lol
You always look cute. I like your outfit. Glad you made it safely in the snow. Hope Beckham got a good report.
Tania, this is an awesome look. I love the Vest with the sweater and the necklace just sets it all off. I will say that although it still looks great the purse looks Navy. Not sure if it is supposed to be black but in the pictures here it looks like a beautiful Navy Blue. Thank you for your Blog. It is inspiring and I look forward to it each day!
Love your look. Always beautiful! Prayers for Baby Beckham and your family. Carla
I’m such a fan of the faux fur vests, Tania!! They are perfect for this time of year and it looks great on you. Even my mom (the 70+ model on my blog) and my stepmom (the 60+ model) have one, so i consider them ageless!!!
