HOW TO STYLE NEUTRALS
This has been a long day. Today I traveled to Charlottesville, Virginia for a doctors appointment for baby Beckham. Kayla, Emersyn and I had to drive for 5 hours in order to get there. Beckham’s appointment is really early so we had to come up the night before in order to be here in time. AND, of course, it started snowing just as we got ready to pull out of the driveway.
I don’t mind driving in the snow as long as it isn’t really deep. I was a little more nervous since I had the kids in the car so I tried to be extra careful. When Beckham was born the doctors said he had a horseshoe-shaped kidney. They said that as he got older he would be more prone to kidney infections and possibly kidney stones but we want to know if there are any other problems that might arise. We also want to know about diet and even if sports would be something that he could participate in later in life. In other words, we just need information.
Today’s look is about neutrals. I started the outfit by picking out this turtleneck sweater. I can’t remember for sure but I think this sweater is from Old Navy. I think we all need a neutral sweater in our closet for the winter months. The only people who might not need a sweater would be those who live in climates that don’t experience the colder weather. This sweater would look great with jeans also or really almost anything. Even though I am not a fan of turtlenecks I do think they are great in the winter months.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color palette on you. This is perfection. The colors in your portrait area are so flattering on you. Once we get to the point of needing to cover our gray, our skin undertones have started to become cooler too and adjustments may need to be made. These cooler neutrals are so gorgeous on you here.
Nowadays you are wearing your hair in warmer tones, so this look may not work quite as well. The golden tones you are now sporting work really well with the amount of color you like to use, very smart of you. You always look great and your blog is a source of inspiration to me. Thank you for doing what you do.
Waaaaay cute because of the textures of the sweater contrasting with the furry vest. You kept the neutrals from fading out due to boredom by that and by the pearl plus fringe necklace. It gets my “I’d wear that” stamp of approval.
Wow! I know your son & daughter-in-law are filled with worry. Living within an hour’s drive of the Houston Medical Center, I take it for granted that anyone can get to a specialist that quickly. Praying for positive outcomes for sweet Beckham. I’m not familiar with horseshoe kidney, but hopefully it will not cause him problems.
How are we usually on the same wavelength? I don’t always post, but it happens A LOT. My neutral today is a gray buffalo plaid shirt with gray jeans and snakeskin flats. My pop of color is a long red cardigan. Anyway, I love that vest! So adorable!
Darling outfit, you always look pulled together even when its a rough day. Prayers for your grandson!
Another great look. Hope all goes well with Beckham. Just remember knowledge is power.
What a cute look for staying warm & I love the snow flake detail in your post! You are so smart! I pray baby Beckham will have no lasting health affects from the strange kidney! I hope you got a good Drs. report – SO nice that they include you in that kind of thing!
So comfy and cozy 🙂 I have a fur vest and have wore it several times this year. Prayers for your sweet Beckham and your family. ~Lisa~
