Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit with a blue linen blazer from Talbots and gold espadrilles from WalmartI was looking back over the comments from last week, and I am still smiling. I am truly blessed with the most amazing followers, and I am thankful each day for all of you. This is a long weekend coming up, but since there have been so many long weekends lately, I am not sure how different the weekend will be for you. Remembering those who have died for our way of life is sobering. There are so many things that we take for granted, and our freedom is one of them. Since COVID hit this year, we have all been forced to re-evaluate our lives, priorities, and things that we thought would never change.

Could you ever foresee massive layoffs and unemployment skyrocketing? I would have thought that being a beautician was a profession that would always have a business, but they were shut down for almost two months also. We now look at people differently than we did before. They are no longer people, but instead, they are germ-carrying flesh blobs that could get us sick. How did this happen in a span of 5 or 6 months??? But, there is always a silver lining if you look for it hard enough. I have enjoyed slowing down and learning to smell the peonies. Reading, crafting, learning how to do a ZOOM call, cooking my brains out, or putting together puzzles with your granddaughter are all things that I have heard people mention that they are doing. Plus, more and more people are turning to the Lord for guidance and hope. So, we may not be able to celebrate this weekend as we have in the past, but we still have a ton to celebrate, and remembering those who’ve died for us, is a great way to start!
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit with a blue linen blazerMaybe wearing an all-white outfit wouldn’t be the best choice for a Memorial Day cookout, but I love wearing all white in the summer. It is clean, crisp, and cool, which is a great thing when the hot summer sun starts beating down on you. While I love wearing all white, I also love adding just a tiny bit of color to the outfit with a cardigan or a blazer. This linen blazer is a gorgeous shade of blue, and linen is also a fabric that is great for summer.

This blazer is soooo nice. I loved the way that it looked on me, but I ordered a size too small. That might end up being a great thing since it is now on sale 50% off!! Woohoo! I love it when that happens. I ordered a size 10, and I am never sure if I will wear a 10 or a 12 when it comes to blazers. Obviously, with Talbots, I need to remember to order a 12 from now on. This blazer also comes in a pretty pink color, so take advantage of Talbot’s great Memorial Day sale to grab a few things.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit with a blue linen blazer from Talbots and gold jewelry from Kendra ScottKendra Scott is also having a Memorial Day sale, so now would be a great time to grab any of the jewelry that I have on today. I love being able to tell Joe how much I saved him instead of how much I spent. LOL! The faceted Elle earrings and the Elisa triple-strand matching necklace both have Ivory Mother of Pearl drops. The Maggie bangle and the Fallyn cuff bracelet are my go-to bracelets. I am going to take advantage of the sale and order a few more things for myself.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit and gold espadrilles from WalmartThese gold metallic espadrilles from Walmart are a pair that I love. The neutral color of these shoes can be worn with sooo many things, including shorts, crops, jeans, and dresses. They are already very reasonably priced, and being able to wear them with so much just makes them more appealing. I am wearing my usual size 9 in the shoes, and I think that they fit me great.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit with a blue linen blazer and gold espadrilles from WalmartWhite v-neck t-shirts are a must-have for the summer months. I buy new ones every year because they are inexpensive and I like a bright white one. By the end of the season, my shirts might start looking a little dingy because I am not the neatest eater. Lol! I have found that the ones from Target and Walmart are pretty nice, especially since I only want to wear them for one season. I usually order a large in these shirts because I don’t want them to show all of my bumps and bulges.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing an all white outfit with a blue linen blazer and gold espadrilles Since it is almost summer, I was thinking about doing a white jeans series, so I took three different looks with the same pants that I had on in yesterday’s post. I think that white jeans/pants are like the white t-shirt, we need a couple of pairs and I try to buy new ones every year. Okay, go ahead and call me a klutz because I couldn’t keep my jeans from getting dirty if I tried. I don’t usually spend a lot of money on my white jeans since I know that I will be replacing them (most likely) next year, but I am tempted to purchase the No Stain white jeans from Chicos since they are on sale for 50% off. Has anyone tried these jeans? Let me know because I would love to order them if they stay stain-free.

The pants that I have on today are from Ann Taylor factory. I ordered my regular size 10, and the jeans fit me great. They are nice, and the pockets don’t show through, which is the first thing that I check when it comes to white pants. Also, these are super cheap, but they are also limited on sizes.

You look great in your blue blazer. We are 92 degrees in Houston and I still wear shorts in this heat! I do wear longer Length than my daughters at least! I wear linen tops as they aren’t so clingy. I’ve learned to wash on delicate, dry for a few minutes with a softener sheet and then hang to dry. I’m so glad our country us coming out if quarantine a little!

  2. You look good in everything! I can not wear white jeans. I look best in dark jeans. I think Walmart is improving, but very disappointed they change brands in thier athletic wear. TGIF

  3. Temp right now is 87. All the fashion bloggers I follow are wearing jackets. Help! I need to look nice without a jacket. I’ve just about gone the boho route with loose peasantry blouses and sandals. I’ll save these looks for cooler weather. I love the all white column because I can throw a thin long vest or kimono and feel a little dressed anyway. Any ideas for how to dress for steamy hot?

  4. Nice outfit today. Blue jacket brings out your eyes. So pretty. Can’t believe the shoes are from Walmart?! Love them. Thanks for Kendra Scott links. I’ve been eyeing the necklace you have on.

  5. Very refreshing and cute outfit. I love blue and the white outfit makes everything a nice pulled together outfit.Yes, we have to remember that God is in control even through this episode that we all have been going through. My Dad was a Navy vet and he is buried at a cemetery in Los Angeles where Rita Hayworth is buried to, so I know that he is very happy!! God Bless all our vets and making it a special day to remember, even though, they are thought of everyday for keeping us all safe.

I love this outfit! You look good in white and it is very slimming! COVID has put all of my beautiful new spring work clothes on hold but I will just have to find new reasons to wear them!

  7. I’m afraid to wear white pants. I’d get them dirty in no time! They look great on you. Maybe I should give them a try. Thanks! Happy Memorial Day.

  8. As much as I dislike having to wear a mask at my office, it would make me feel a lot better if I saw you with a mask. There is no known time frame for when my life will return to In person meetings with my professional colleagues unless I have half my face covered. Thank goodness for lash boost!

  9. I love white jeans, a white tank top, and then cardigan. I think it gives such a clean look (just like you are styling here.) I need to look at Walmart clothes more. Seems they have some very nice items. Thanks.
