How to Smooth Crepey Skin on Your Neck and Arms (What Actually Works!)

Let’s talk about that “crepe paper” skin that sneaks up on us, especially on the neck and arms. You know what I mean…that thin, crinkly skin that shows up even if you’re doing all the things. The good news? There are some wonderful creams and lotions that can help plump things back up with moisture, antioxidants, retinol, and all those skin-loving ingredients. I’ve tried a few, and some of these are on my “must-try” list based on the rave reviews they’ve gotten.

Crepey Skin Solutions

1. Gold Bond Age Renew Crepe Corrector

Gold Bond has been around forever, and this Crepe Corrector formula is made just for crepey skin. It works to smooth the skin with a whole bunch of moisturizing ingredients and helps improve elasticity (if you use it regularly). It’s thick, but it soaks in nicely, and you don’t feel sticky afterward.

  • Dermatologist tested
  • Targets thin, wrinkly skin
  • A big 14-oz bottle lasts a long time

2. Andalou Naturals Body Butter

Tahitian Vanilla? OH, how I wish I could handle fragrances. This Body Butter is full of shea butter, cocoa butter, and argan oil, so if your skin is dry, it just drinks this in. I like that it’s rich, which makes it great for elbows and arms that need some love.

  • Vegan and full of antioxidants
  • Perfect for daily moisture
  • Smells like a tropical getaway

3. Medix 5.5 Retinol Body Lotion

This Retinol Body Lotion is a favorite for women over 50 because it combines retinol with botanicals. Great skin care and flowers? I’ll take a dozen, please! If you haven’t heard, retinol encourages collagen production, which can help that “paper” look.

  • Retinol helps with firmness
  • Hydrating without being heavy
  • Gentle enough for arms, neck, and chest

4. Advanced Clinicals Retinol Body Lotion

The Advanced Clinicals is another retinol option, and it comes in a huge 16-oz bottle. This one is great if you want a value that will last a long time. It’s designed to smooth out fine lines and leave your skin feeling soft.

  • Big size means you won’t run out fast
  • Helps with both wrinkles and dryness
  • Works for men and women

5. AmLactin Crepe Firming Cream

This AmLactin Crepe Firming Cream is different because it has lactic acid, which gently exfoliates dead skin cells. That makes your skin look fresher and lets the moisture sink in better. It’s a great choice if you want a little more “oomph” for texture.

  • Exfoliates and hydrates at the same time
  • Light lotion that absorbs quickly
  • Especially nice for arms and hands

6. BODY FIRM Crepe Erase Advanced

Crepe Erase is one of those products that gets a lot of buzz. It focuses on improving sagging skin and supporting collagen and elastin. Users swear that if you’re consistent, it can make skin feel a little bouncier.

  • Works best with regular use
  • Made for neck, arms, and chest
  • Has a nice, creamy feel

7. Olay Body Lotion Firming with Collagen Peptides

This reminds me of my grandmother. She was a big user of Oil of Olay! This Olay Body Lotion is loaded with collagen peptides and vitamin B3. It’s designed to deeply hydrate and give you a little firmer look over time. Plus, it soaks in fast, which is great when you’re trying to get dressed.

  • Lightweight but effective
  • 24-hour hydration
  • Great for daily use after showering

8. Advanced Clinicals Retinol + Collagen Cream Set

This Set comes with two creams, one retinol and one collagen, so you can layer or alternate. It’s a nice way to get double the benefits without paying a fortune! A LOT of people love this combo for the arms, neck, and even chest. It has almost 40,000 reviews!

  • Combines collagen and retinol
  • Fragrance-free, so good for sensitive skin
  • Great value with two full-size jars

9. Jergens Skin Firming Lotion

Jergens is a classic, and this Firming Lotion has collagen and elastin “to give your skin a tighter look “for visibly firmer skin.” It’s an easy, everyday lotion, not sticky, and it keeps dry skin soft all day long. It’s also dermatologist-tested, so it’s a solid basic.

  • Affordable and easy to find
  • Firms while moisturizing
  • Big pack so you can stock up

Quick Tips for Crepey Skin

  • Always wear sunscreen on your arms, neck, and chest (UV is a big cause of crepe)
  • Stay consistent with moisturizing; once a week won’t cut it
  • Retinol and lactic acid can help with fine lines and skin texture over time

Crepey skin happens, but there are so many good products that can help. I keep one by my bed and one in my bathroom so I never forget to use it. Little by little, your skin starts to look smoother and feel softer again, and that’s worth it, Gurls!
